Donna:

You're listening to the Mindset and Action podcast, the place to be to grow and streamline your business. I'm your host, donna Eade. Let's jump into the show. ["mindset and Action Podcasts"]. Welcome back to the Monday Mindset mini series here on the podcast guys. I have a guest with me today to talk about Mindset blocks. Her name is Sarah Rill. Welcome to the podcast, sarah. I'm so happy to have you here.

Donna:

Hi thanks for having me. Okay, so Sarah is going to be with us on Thursday talking about her specialty, and we are going to dive more into that then. So make sure that you are subscribed where you listen so you don't miss that. Sarah, tell everybody a little bit about who you are and what you do.

Sarah Brill:

Yeah, so I help women to unlock their greatest earning potential, and I do that by transforming their relationship with money. So you could say I'm a money mindset mentor and I also do financial coaching as well.

Donna:

Fabulous. So we are going to be diving into money mindset on Thursday's episode, but today, today is all about you, Sarah. So I am interested to know the answer to this question. But what we want to know from you is what has been your biggest mindset block that has come up in your business, and how is it that you managed to kind of overcome that or navigate it, get around it some way? What has affected you the most?

Sarah Brill:

Oh, great question. So I think for me, the biggest thing has been this idea of scarcity, of not having enough, and different people have different money mindset blocks. For me, as an accumulator, mine happens to be scarcity, so feeling like there isn't enough clients, or feeling like there isn't enough business or I need to work harder, that's a big one for me. I love what I do, so I find myself working at like stupid o'clock at night and that's kind of meant. At times I go through seasons where maybe I'm not, as I don't have as much time, let's say, for friends or family or for my mental health or wellbeing or whatever it is. So I'm always always working and striving for more, and for me that's led to burnout quite a lot of times. That's how it's shown up for me and, yeah, I decided I'm not gonna do that anymore.

Donna:

Yeah, Do you know what? And it's funny because accumulator is like my second in command and we talk about many archetypes in the main episode, so you'll have to go and listen to that. But I do the same. I work really late. I feel like there's not enough time and I've just got to keep going and if I just work some more hours it'll all be fine.

Sarah Brill:

Just one more email.

Donna:

Just one more email, and I was I was up really late last night, but I am currently, while we're talking, in the middle of a launch. So it stands to reason that I would work a bit more, but I'm very much trying to curb that. So I completely understand and have that parallel with you there. So what is it that you have done? Put in place, kind of worked on to kind of navigate that so that it's not having a negative impact on your business?

Sarah Brill:

Yeah, so I'm. I'm surprisingly not a massive. I love attention to detail and I have a plan in my head of what I want to do, but I don't plan every single minute of every single day, because if I did that, I know that the way that I operate would be that I just don't do it, so that different people operate different ways, as I said before. But for me, I set a goal and objective that I want to get to, and then I let go of the outcome and how I'm gonna work, get, how I'm gonna get there, and I literally just focus on the one thing that's in front of me right now.

Donna:

That's actually something that my health coach worked with me on was like just Donna, two things, because I was always felt like I was not getting enough done in the day. And she was just like put two things on your to-do list and if you get them done, that's grand, even if one of those things is do your daily exercise. So you know it's not these big Projects that you're doing, just two things on your list and then you feel accomplished and to some degree it works for me.

Sarah Brill:

But yeah, definitely because it's the outcome, with lots of ideas buzzing around, yeah, yeah. So for me that was yeah, very much, with Focusing on the next thing in front of me.

Donna:

Fabulous and before we hop off, because I think that that is, it's such a deep Issue for a lot of people could talk about it all day and as you are a money mindset coach, I'm sure scarcity is something that comes up with your clients a lot. So when you are talking about it with your clients, are they kind of a couple of things that you kind of work with them on or that you know that you've implemented In your business structure to sort of address that, and what does that look like for your clients?

Sarah Brill:

Yeah, that's definitely something that comes up for my clients, but not everyone. I coaches like me, and One of the things that I am very good at is creating financial independence and helping other women thrive, and so people actually don't necessarily come for me. Come to me, should I say for, let's say, scarcity might say it's certainly something that does come up. But another thing that people come to me about is maybe they feel like they're undercharging for their services and they're giving away all their time. They have no time for their family or their kids or partner or whatever it is, and they're constantly working but maybe not seeing a reflect in their bank account.

Sarah Brill:

Some people come to me because they're earning really good money but they're still carrying a lot of debt, and so there's almost this like guilt and shame that's lying underneath. So different people have different ways of operating with money and I teach a framework around that, so there isn't a single strategy. It's not like I tell you you have to do X in your business right now to get more clients. It's more figuring out what is the wiring that you've been conditioned, what are those subconscious money blocks, and then work on releasing them so that you can feel empowered to then overcome whatever hurdle that is, start saving more, investing more, earning more, breaking through that glass money ceiling.

Donna:

Yeah, yeah, brilliant. I love that, I love that. So we are going to be talking on Thursday about money mindset in your business and it is so, so important because, unbeknownst to us, money mindset might be the root cause of the issue, and I think that's come up with what you would just say in there, sarah that people will come to you and say, oh, I haven't got enough clients, and that is actually when you dig down a money mindset issue rather than a people issue and things like that. So I think a lot of times we think it's one thing, and when you actually dig underneath, it can be that money mindset is the issue. So join us on Thursday for a deeper dive into money mindset. Sarah, if people cannot wait until Thursday to listen to our episode, where can they find you now?

Sarah Brill:

Yep so my name is Sarah Braille on LinkedIn. That's mostly where I hang out, and I also have the free sacred money archetypes quiz on my website, which is sarabreilecoachingcouk.

Donna:

And we will put the link in the show notes for you guys so you can go and grab that quickly. So yeah, do that before Thursday's episode and you'll walk into that knowing your money mark, money, money, mindset money, personality that's the one I was looking for.

Donna:

You'll know your money personality, so, going into that conversation, you'll be able to look at it with a different perspective. So join us on Thursday for that. Sarah, thank you so much for coming on the show today and sharing. It is always nice to hear somebody share something that they were stuck with, because it makes us feel like we're a little less alone. So I appreciate your vulnerability in sharing your money block or your mindset block, should I say with us. Thank you very much for having me. Thank you, we'll see you in the next one, guys. Bye for now.
