SPEAKER_00:

Hey, it's Jordan Edwards here with Five Minute Friday. And I want you guys to think about what is your accountability level? Are you accountable or do you take extreme ownership of your life? The truth is that ownership isn't about blame, it's about control. And the thing I want you to realize is the second you own it, you can change it. So I want you to take control of your life. So that means that we don't complain about our bosses, we don't complain about our marketing, we don't complain about our employees, we don't complain about our parents. We take ownership. We take absolute ownership of our lives. And I got this concept from Jocko Willink in his book Extreme Ownership. And I've given several presentations on this to different groups, trading, insurance, mindset, everything. I've spoken to everybody about this, and everyone aligns in the regard of like when you take ownership of your life, it will completely change everything for you. And that's what it did for me. I did 75 hard back in 2020, and it showed me that I have control of everything. 75 hard is when you do two out inside workout, outside workout, drink a gallon of water a day, take a progress picture of your of yourself, 10 personal development pages, eat clean, no alcohol, follow a strict diet. And I just want you to realize that when I did that, I felt the most free because ownership is freedom. And when you start to control yourself and when you start to realize that you, even when the environment and the situation is unfair, it becomes workable when you take responsibility. So I want us to spend less time on the problem and more on the solution. And the other big thing is that as we start taking extreme ownership for our Fridays, by you showing up every Friday, you are showing up for yourself. You're showing up for a better version of who you want to be. And when you take extreme ownership, what's going to end up happening is you're going to have control of your life. You're going to get more opportunities and you're going to be able to make something of yourself. Make something of this short, short time we have on this planet. Because the truth is it goes fast. And that's coming from someone who's 30 years old, let alone someone who's 80, 90, 100. So I want you to realize that earlier in your life you take extreme ownership. I still have some people I know who have taken no ownership of their life, and you can tell. As soon as someone takes extreme ownership, they can do it at seven years old, they can do it at 70 years old. It doesn't matter. But I ask you today, where are you taking extreme ownership in your life? How are you showing up for your life? And how are you taking full accountability? Because the more you do that, the more your life will change for the better. So I hope that this gives you some value because extreme ownership doesn't just happen. It happens by how we act and how we behave. It's us following through on our word, it's us doing the right things. It's us showing up when we don't want to. It's us showing up when we want to. Because to be honest here, not everyone wants to do everything. But if we take ownership of our entire life in this moment right now, there's nothing to complain about. It's all your choice, it's all your decision. And I want to know, I want you to let you know on this fine Friday that you own the day. So take it and make the most of it. Happy five minute Friday. Talk soon. Thank you.
