Do challenges if you want to grow your social media. 14 days ago, I decided to do a hundred days of content. I watched a video, and the video was talking about how the guy was on his 99th day, what he learned, how he grew. And I thought to myself, genius, you get to learn every single day. Now, one of the things that you guys might not know about me is for the past two to three years, I've been posting two to three times a day by clipping up my podcast and posting it on all platforms. And I thought that was enough to grow. What I realized was I have to get into the niches. I have to get into the game, and I have to start to understand what makes this work and what doesn't. I went to an event a couple weeks back by Tampa Entrepreneurs, and they were talking about how to go viral. And I thought, what a silly concept. You can't just go viral. Then I realized everyone goes viral. Sometimes it's intentional, sometimes it's unintentional. And I want to tell you guys today about the hook, the big takeaways I had. And I'm going to share probably two or three of them with you. One of the big takeaways I've had is that the hook is so important. And what I mean by that is the first video where I really saw it, I had a buddy of mine say, I have an idea for you, let me record it. So we're in the car, we're recording the video, and it did get significantly more reviews. And I was like, that was quite interesting. Like maybe I should choreograph these a little more often. And then I had another video the next day where I was like, oh, let me figure out how I'm going to do this. What I did was I fell off. I did a fake fall. And then I walked up the stairs and I talked about motivation, how how you need to continue stepping up and growing, even when you fall down. And you start to realize that video did exceptional. Outlier. And I thought to myself, why? And it's because the hook was really good. Three seconds in, I'm falling. Three seconds in I'm going to this new place. It happens very quickly, and you're in it as quick as possible. The second video that did really well was this catch up video where I had ketchup on a knife and I talked about, and it was zoomed in on the knife like you thought there was uh something crazy happening, and you start to realize that I was just cutting my meal and I was just having steak. And it was all about the perspective and how we realize that we make the mistake sometimes where we zoom in on the wrong things and we don't look in the bigger picture. And so I want us to realize one, the hook is very, very important. The second thing is when you do something different and when you do a challenge, people start to talk to you about it. I had so many people in my DMs being like, what's coming up in the next day of the challenge? What's coming up? And what it's done for me is force me to be consistent, force me to try out the new projects, force me to look into the new things to see what the innovators are doing. So I started using the edits app. I started posting more, I started getting more exposure. And it all starts with making a decision and trying out different things. Because one of the things I've done for a long time is measured and monitored. But I wasn't measuring and monitoring my own work. Like I was having, I was measuring if we were posting, but not looking at all the results because I'm like, I don't want to deal with that. And then what I started to do was I started to realize that it was happening and I was gonna take this accountability and I was gonna take extreme ownership of my life. So I thought, why not get started? And the fun thing is, is when you do a challenge, people want to be around it. So what I was doing was the hundred days of content, and it wasn't talking head videos, some of them are, but some of them are different. And it's just let's get started. So I want I hope this video leaves you with a few things. I want you to realize that it's okay. You don't have to do anything perfect, just get started and build a hook. And then the second thing is that stay consistent. You're gonna measure and monitor, people are gonna start to notice, and it's gonna make a big difference. But you have to realize it's gonna happen really slowly, and that's okay. Because when we lower our expectations, we raise our accountability, like we raise who we're gonna show up as. And I want us to realize this because what ends up happening to a lot of us is that we give up after three times. We give up very quickly, we go, it's not working, I'm not seeing a result.
