Q. 29: What is God's plan of salvation?
A: Before the foundation of the world, God freely and graciously chose a great multitude to include in his covenant and redeem from sin through Jesus Christ. To accomplish his plan, God chose the people of Israel to make a new beginning. They received God's covenant, and prepared the way for Jesus to come as our Saviour and Redeemer. He would fulfill God's promises to Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Ezra, Nehemiah, and all the other old covenant saints.
