Michelle Remington:

I posted a quote on my social media says, Hey, girl, if you want to get off the roller coaster, look for the patterns in your behavior that keep you there. Yeah. Yikes. It's kind of like, Well, hello. You just read my mail. Okay, we're gonna be hitting on another tough subject today. So grab your coffee, grab your tea, and join me today for our episode, we're gonna get right into it.

Worth It! Intro:

Welcome to worth it, the podcast where we answer anxiety, deflate fear and shut down shame, because ain't no woman got time for that you were made to thrive. My mission is to help you get deeply rooted with God and reclaim your weapon that the enemy of God has been using against you. After going to battle for my own mind. Three years ago, I realized that there is a war going on for our minds. A battle that begins with how we think says you have much more control than you realize with each episode, you'll learn how to fight back and become more confident in the truth that God already knows, you are worth it. I'm Michelle Remington, Christian mindset coach, thought strategist, and warrior Mama. Grab your sword daughter of the king, it's time to unleash your inner warrior princess.

Michelle Remington:

Welcome back warrior. Now, this is kind of a tough subject. But these are subjects that are definitely worth looking into, worth investigating for your own health. And for the health of those around you. This is a really hard one. I think everything we deal with is hard, right? You have to choose your hard and make it worth it. So for a long time, my hard was going through postpartum depression, and everything that went along with that and almost ruined my family and almost ruined my life. But then I switch gears when God stepped in, He said, I have made you for so much more. And up till then I had avoided all of the hard stuff, or I had been avoiding all of the hard stuff. And then I realized that I had to choose, am I gonna choose falling down this mountain in depression, and it ruining my life in my family? Or am I gonna choose the hard, strenuous task of climbing up this mountain. So in one, I was rolling down a mountain getting beaten and bruised along the way. And in the other. My hands, my body, my mind, my emotions, were getting worn in a good way. Because I was working my way up. That's the choice that I had to make. And when you're ready for lasting transformation, that's the choice you have to make. You're in that moment, you're you're thirsting, you're craving change. But it's not like the kind of like bored change that you're looking for when you want to change your hair or your wardrobe or, or something else about you. This goes deeper, deeper than that. This is that transformation that you are craving. When you realize that everything that you've been doing and trying to handle on your own is not cutting it anymore. And you are getting more bruised and battered trying to do it yourself. Then give it to the one who can bring you out of that pit and raise you to the top of the mountain. So at this point, you're probably listening to this podcast because you're done. You're done feeling stuck. You're done. Feeling stagnant. You're done and ready. Because you're feeling like I need this change. I need something God I need something. I need to make a move. I need you to make a move God. I remember when I presented myself before God, I had been rolling down that hill just falling. I had beaten myself up so much that I had lost strength. mentally, emotionally and physically. And then I was getting even more worn and beat up. Because I couldn't stand by myself any more. And in that moment, when I presented myself before God, I had seen hope. And don't get me wrong, there's moments in my life where God has worked, miraculously. And I have seen the hope of God so many times. But I never get tired of seeing God, show up. I never get tired of seeing the hope of God. So I determined in that moment, if God is showing up, I am not gonna stay in this self made hell that I had created for myself that I was that I was literally just dealing with. God had pierced through the darkness, to show me that he, my hope, was within sight. And attainable, attainable, not just something that you see from far away and think, Oh, that's nice. I wish I could get there someday. No, He pierced through that darkness. And he was a light to my feet, and a lamp to my path. And little did I know, how in depth, God would get into my mind. And my thoughts, when I tell you that submitting yourself fully to God, is what you need to do to get that lasting transformation. Know that God, your Creator, the one that knows you better than you know yourself, he's gonna get deep, he's gonna get to the core. And it is all going to be worth it. It may be scary. The thought of not knowing what's going to happen may be difficult may be a challenge for you to get past at first. But you can trust God. That's how I got through it. Just reminding myself you know what, I mean, I got to this point, because I was trying to make it on my own. And I was worn, worn and battered and bruised. And now God is lifting me out. God has showed up and I need to trust him. I had no idea how much I had been hurting myself with my thoughts. And my words, when God opened my eyes to the patterns that I kept reliving, over and over again, I was shocked. I was like, Mind blown, basically, Mind blown moment. But at the same time, I knew God was working in me because the old me would feel condemned, and would use that as ammo to beat myself up even more. But in that moment, because I know that God showed up and God was moving in me, because I made that move toward God. And I reached out, I asked God for help. I felt empowered, and grateful that God was helping me in such a profound way. And I knew at that moment, I mean, this was just the beginning. And God was already moving in a profound way. Like, I'm getting ready to see some biblical things happen here in my own life, because I am making the choice as a child of God to fully submit myself to the Almighty God, who I do not even know the depths, and the heights of who he is. But he's getting ready to move in me and he's getting ready to show me how can I say no to that? How could you say no, to that? Everything is possible with God. God's love for you, is bring you to your knees. Awesome. His love is bring you to your face. Amazing. We can't fathom. It's so big. We cannot even envision it. But yet, it's there. And he is real. So when you want true, lasting transformation, you can trust that God will open up his store houses to give you all he has prepared for you. When you open yourself Up to God, you walk through that torn veil, and say, Here am I God, I surrender folly to you. I surrender fully to you, God, my dear, here time is now, if you're hearing this, there's a reason. When I started this podcast, I asked God to use me. And whoever hears this at whatever time, it is meant for that person to hear it is meant for you to hear right here, right now. Because God is calling and your time is now. So, as I encourage you, every podcast, pretty much. I want to encourage you to make time with God today. Even if you got to put me on pause, do it right now. Your relationship with God, and the work that God is doing in you is more important. So make the time to go to God, step through that torn fail. There needs to be nothing between you and Jesus. Let's finish out in prayer. Lord Jesus, I praise you glorify you, God, you are so mighty and so amazing and pig, greater than we can ever fathom God and the work that you are doing in us Lord, is much greater than we can ever imagine and more far reaching in the world than we can ever imagine. And I thank you, Lord, for loving us so much that you would move so mightily in us. I pray, Lord, that every person hearing this would feel the gravity would feel the gravity of this opportunity, the gravity of the possibilities for them, the gravity of you, moving in them, the most important thing in the world, Lord, in this life is our relationship with you. When we focus on our relationship with you, God, that is when transformation occurs. That is when we see our most joyous moments. That is when we experienced that, in explicable peace in challenging moments. That is when we know that we are not alone. At difficult times, that is when we can make the most impact in the world, the share or witness of the things that you have done in us and that we have seen you do God and what your Word says, our purpose in this life is so much more profound, then someone make it seem, it would make it seem so mundane and boring and purposeless. But that is so far from the truth, our purpose, our potential, is so great that we cannot even fathom it, Lord, in that lasting transformation that we crave is as tangible as a Bible, in our hands. My heart is filled with so much gratitude God, to be able to witness this to be a vessel for you God, I pray God that for every person that hears this podcast, that you would help them to see the full potential of what you're able to do. And to see the importance and the great need for them to have the closest relationship with the possible draws near God anointed ears to hear our hearts to receive your word, Jesus. Help us to strip away everything. That is not a view everything that is extra, and build us up God, build us up, transform us. We praise you God and we glorify Your name Jesus. In your precious and holy name Jesus we pray, Amen. And Amen. Thank you for joining me on this episode of worth it.
