Discipleship 11: One Anothering

James Douglas

Loneliness kills. The Surgeon General calls it a crisis—like smoking 15 cigarettes a day. God said: “It is not good for man to be alone” (Gen. 2:18).

The New Testament gives 59 "one another" commands—not suggestions. The early church knew: we need each other.

The Church Must Be:

  • A Loving Family – Love, bear with one another.
  • A Serving Culture – Honor, serve one another.
  • A Place of Encouragement – Encourage, correct one another.
  • A People of Forgiveness – Forgive one another.
  • A Burden-Bearing Body – Show compassion.

Disconnection destroys.
One anothering defeats isolation.
Will we live it?
