Jesus is coming again. The question James asks is: How should we live while we wait?

In James 5:7–12, we’re given a surprisingly practical picture of a life shaped by the hope of Christ’s return. Wait patiently. Refuse to grumble against one another. Look to faithful people who have endured suffering. Be a person whose word can be trusted.

Like a farmer waiting for the harvest, we keep sowing good seed and trusting God with what we cannot control. Like Job, we keep choosing faithfulness even when life is difficult and we don’t understand what God is doing. Our job isn’t always to understand. Our job is to trust.

And maybe you’re waiting for Jesus to show up in your life right now. Keep waiting. Keep trusting. Keep being faithful. The way we wait matters.
