Zara is a filmmaker and photo producer specializing in crafting character-driven visual stories. She is currently the photography director at NBC News and has contributed work to the New York Times Lens blog, Time magazine, Medium, The Guardian, US Pop Up magazine, and many more.
She is also the co-director and producer of A Woman on the Outside, a feature documentary that just premiered at South by Southwest in the Spring of 2022 and is currently screening at film festivals across the US.
