When we fear something, we run away from them, right? Not so with God.
As children of God, we are removed from His wrath and brought into sonship. Our terror is turned to awe and reverence to our Heavenly Father. We now delight to obey Him, and “would be ashamed to do anything which would grieve him”, as Sinclair Ferguson explains.
