In 1 Corinthians 15:20–28, Paul describes Jesus as the “firstfruits” of the resurrection. His rising from the dead is not just a miracle from the past—it is the promise of what’s to come. Because Christ was raised, our future resurrection and the renewal of all things are certain. The resurrection reshapes how we see our past, our present, and our future. It gives us a living hope that changes how we follow Jesus today and invites us to share that hope with others.
