Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the axis of football Week 10 under our belts, the first double digit week. We've talked about that kind of being a sign of the season, the regular season, coming to a close. But man shark, it was, it was double digit fun as far as I'm concerned. This past weekend. Some shocking results On Monday night upset, we got overtime at Lambo, a thriller. In Buffalo, a nice game out in Munich to, to open up the NFL's appetite out in that part of the world. And a ton more to get through Jeff Saturday's coaching debut. What happened there? How did that go? But Char, we're gonna assert this thing with your old team, the Washington commanders pulling the ultimate upset going in to Philly last. 32, 21. The final score there, the 1972 Dolphins are popping the champagne because there are officially no more undefeated teams left in the nfl. What a game this was Char. A lot. We'll talk about it. A lot of things kind of had to break. Washington's way, but credit to them, they ran the ball extremely well. Really nice play calling Taylor Heineke, another gritty performance from him and Washington. Now five and five. Philly at eight and one, but what a game. Last place beating first in Philadelphia. What'd you see here, sir? I mean, a lot of things. A lot of things had to go wrong for the Eagles and a lot of things had to go right for the commanders for this thing to turn out the way it. Believe it or not, I was actually rooting for the Eagles for two reasons. One is because, Oh, come on. What, what kind of a former Washingtonian are you? I, I, I've, listen, I, first of all, maybe it's the commander's name and maybe it's a different, different jerseys. But also maybe he, if more than likely has to do with the ownership, but That's fair. I I, well first of all, you know, fantasy football rules my world during, during football season. So, so, so what was the crux of why you're rooting for Philly? Because who's gonna rooter at eight and 18? Well, I, I was, because I have, I have the Philadelphia defense on like six of my teams I have on like seven of my teams. Well, like do you ever do a thing where you're like, you know, like, I want Philly's defense to play good enough for me to win, but I still want them to lose, Or do you not even play that? I I, it, it ended up happening. I needed'em to get some sack and interception, which in the second half it did. So, you know, they ended up scoring me seven points anyways. But, and then I'm like, Okay, if, if they lose, it doesn't matter. But then I also kind of like the idea of having an undefeated team. Cause I, I'm a fan of Jaylen Hertz and, you know, I've always been a fan of mobile quarterbacks. I've always thought that, you know, those guys just add to mention that defense can't account for. You know, I, I like Jalen Hertz, and yes, I believe it or not, I was rooting for the dreaded dreaded eagles. But, but look, going, going back to the game, so many things had to go wrong for the Eagles for this game to happen. And, and yes, I, I did, I did say that this could be a trap game, and I love the idea. I, I, I love the fact that you didn't mention how correct I wasn't on. Almost every single one of my picks last week. But that's, that's precise. Who you start the show, man. Geez. How about little bit of patience here. We just got started. Come on now. Coming, coming out hot. Anyways. Well, here, here's the thing, Curtis, first of all, Jordan Davis, the, the sensational rookie defensive tackle. He wasn't playing. We saw the effect of his absence on how easily the eagles were just control. Controlling the line of scrimmage. Yep. Right. I mean, no question. They, I mean, they ran the ball. I mean, they didn't have a game breaking kind of day. And if you look at it actually, like Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson, each average just over three yards of carry. But they kept feeding him. The ball felt like on the downs that mattered on all those little, like a lot of the yard, like there was a lot of one yard. They had something like 6, 7, 8, third, and ones in the game. And so they got converted. So like, so they kept converting them, right? So like those three yards, I mean, 40 carries between those two guys. They had 49 runs as a team overall. Just, and look, we're not, we're talking about literally let's talk about the full four bulk carriers. Average arts per carry, 3.3, 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0. They were, nobody was running the ball great, but they just seemed to be effective when it, when it mattered. And they controlled the clock. And to your point, sure you're right. A lot of things did have to break Washington's way, but I'll give'em credit. When they got opportunities, they did make Philadelphia Pay, right? And they had a great interception off of jail. And Hertz in the second half, excuse me, at the end of the first half, that led to points that had'em go up six. Going into half. And then, yeah, there was a couple things like Jalen Hertz completed a big time. I think it was a 42 yard pass he completed to Quest, Watkins Downfield. He dove and caught it, got back up and upon getting back up was hit immediately. Fumble Washington Ball. They had a penalty at the end of the game where they actually had Taylor Heineke down and a late hit personal foul call kept that drive alive and really enabled was. To salt the game away, had that personal foul not being called they would've had an opportunity there. There was a fumble by Dallas Goddard, which on the play his face mask was clearly pulled. And it's kind of stupid that because they went back and reviewed to see if the, the, the ball came out of Gar Goddard's hands. Before his knee touched the ground. But it's kind of ridiculous that they can review that and in reviewing it, you see a very clear face mask. And so they can't come back and say, You know what? Actually the fumble is null because his face mask was pulled. It's just, it's like one of those dumb things where because it's not reviewable, you can't, you can't go back and correct something that was that kind of exposed, something that was, you know, a, a defect, I think in the NFL rules. But in any case, that was a fumble. So yes, there were things that had to go their. But Washington, they capitalized on like every turnover. They made good on it. They, they, you know, you don't think they got lucky? I mean, lucky, I don't know if it's lucky. Extremely fortunate. It's, I mean, Washington played well. Do they not? No, no, no, no. They, they, It's not like they, they played Well, my point is that all those fortunate things that you mentioned that I was gonna, and, and, and thank you for, you stated it better than I would've. All those things that, that went If one of those things wouldn't happen, the Eagles won the game if Jordan Davis played. Well, they don't, I wouldn't say they for sure, but like, yes, you're right. I mean, Philly's chances of winning would go up exponentially. You're right. If any of those things didn't happen. Yeah. Look, look at, look at the interception when a J Brown had the ball in his hands for, it was a for a touchdown. And the dude pulls it out of his hands. Okay. Yeah. That, that's, that's, that's huge. That's, that's, that's a play that usually I'm gonna bet on, on the strong arms of AJ Brown over any other, any, any other person fighting for the ball, maybe besides his former teammate, DJ Midcap. Then, then you had the, then you mentioned the Dallas Godard face mask. That, that shouldn't ne, that should have been a first down. And, and, and deep into commander's territory. Alright? And it's stupid that you can't correct that. Like they're going back and reviewing the play to see if there was a fumble. And in doing so, you see the face mask, like, like not correct it. If, if, if anything that should have been, that should have been first, first down for the Eagles in Commander's territory. Okay. And that resulted in. For for the, for Washington. And, but Sorry, There's one more, There's one more. Hold on. Now there's one more then, Then you had this stripped on Watkins was it your chest? Watkins that close? Watkins, Yep. He caught a deep pass. I think it put him in the red zone or damn near the red zone. He was, he was gonna score a touchdown course. If, if he would've been tackled down, that would've been in the red zone. Mm-hmm. He, he was off and running and, and I'm telling you that, that the guy, if that tackle happens again, maybe 20% of the time, He fumbles. So that's that, that it just always, No, you're right. A lot of things had to break the right way. It's, it's one of those, you know how they say the term like, you know, every dog has his day, right? This one Washington's day. And like, it's one of those where we talk about these game shark. If, if they play that game 10 times, that's probably the one scenario where Washington's winning and, and it happened to be the one that came to fruition, right? It's everything that could have gone wrong for them at the same time, but at the same time. The interception was a great play by the safety. That fumble, that fumble. They're professionals, they're gonna make plays. Yeah, Yeah. But, but for sure, no question that, that they, Godard play was hu like, that was huge. And then the personal foul penalty at the end, that was the right call was just, it was, it was, it's, it's like a stupid way to lose a game. But like ti and by the way, I'll, I'll say Heineke, I give'em a ton of credit. Instead of panicking and throwing it incomplete or throwing it interception or taking a sack by holding the ball too long, he just went down. He gave himself, it was third down, they were throwing it cuz if a first down would've ended the game. And he's like, There's nobody open. He just went down. He gave himself up and a tick too late. The Philadelphia player came in. And, and got the light hit and that was it. And Heineke was like, So, I mean, Heineke and, and here's the thing. I didn't like that call. I did not like that call because from his perspective, he was running and when Heineke went down, if you look at the replay, he started standing back up. So from from the defender's perspective, it looked like he was making another football move. But I mean, but, but sure he gave himself up and his knee was, but he didn't see that though. If you, if you look at the I know, I know, I know. Coming around, I agree. It's, it's a crappy way for things to end, but like technically it was the correct call. Like it wasn't a bad call. It was just unfortunate that it add that, but add that to everything else that I said. Literally everyth. Kus take away two of those, take away two of those events, maybe one or two of those events. Philly wins the game. Now. Now, did Philly play great? No, they're, they're their their O line and d line. They, they, they, from, from the middle, from the end of the first quarter until the end of the third quarter, their, their front lines got dominated. Their front lines got dominated. They did. And, and, and again, look, I, I, I'm a guy that's, that's the way things turned out because fantasy turned out for me. I, I would be happy for for the former Redskins, for the commanders to do this because it's still, it's still the team that I make my money with. And had most of my experience with, but they got so lucky. They got extremely lucky. But again, this was one of those games that we, we talked about it, look, inter division game, undefeated team, possibly looking to the future saying, Okay, we got these games. This is this, this was, And again, look, I would have every reason to call for it because I, I, I actually warned about a, about an. So it's, you know, I had a vested interest in saying, Oh look, look, they lost. But they got very, very lucky. They got extremely fortunate. They did. But I loved Hine's Energy. Taylor Heine. Oh, I, yeah. Was incredible. And you know, it wasn't for lucky and Pure skill was Terry McLaren. I mean, what a game. He had clearly a leader on their offense. Eight catches, 128 yards. I mean, this guy was making plays left and. Just unbelievable and kinda ironic. Carson Wentz, obviously at this game as well as the former Eagle, I'm sure when he was signed with Washington, saw this game on the schedule, probably when he had earmarked to say, I wanna go back to my old stomping grounds. I wanna go back to the team. That gave up on me and get that win on their field. Didn't get a chance to do so and ironically. Sure. I think Heineke probably won the job going forward. Wence is eligible to return and practice this week, but tough to strip a heineke at the job at this point, don't you think? Look ab Absolutely. We remember what, when we were talking about this game last last week I, I said Heineke is the closest thing that I've seen to Tim Tebow's effect on a game, the intangible on a game. Where you don't know why other, other players play better, but this team is playing better with Taylor Heineke. And I've seen it, like I told you, I saw it in college. I, I've seen it in the pros where, where a guy comes in that for whatever reason, just lifts up, has, has a mass effect on, on other players playing. Well, Terry Macor was a, was a receiver would under Carson. We, that, that fantasy was just like a dud. Now all of a sudden he's turning into a, you know, top 10, top 15 wide receiv. Because Taylor Heineke goes to him. Carson Wentz wasn't, you know, so I love, I just love his game. I love his attitude. A couple weeks ago when Washington got the win in Indianapolis, I don't know if you know McLaren, he's from Indianapolis. He had a bunch of friends and family in the stands, and he made an incredible acrobatic cash to put Washington. The field goal arranged for that game winning field goal. And when he made the cash, he got up and he yelled at the Colt players, This is my city. This is my city. I was like, That is, That's pretty badass man. and I mean, really cool to see him do it in his hometown. So we didn't shout that out happen, but Uhor sharp. Last thing I'll say here. I was rooted for Washington. Okay. I obviously, as a cowboy, of course you were. Cause you're a child, was Homer. I'm a cowboy, but. Not only that, not only that, there was a great storyline going into this game and that was that coach Ron Rivera had lost his mom the week leading up to the game and after the game, he was in front of the team with the game ball and he just, Getting choked up and he couldn't, he couldn't speak and the players were encouraging him and supporting him. And he just, when he was able to kind of muster some words, he said, all he said was she would've been proud. And that, that hit me, man, that it was, it was beautiful. It hit me. He then had to actually like, like leave the locker room and go into a room to just have a moment to him. That was just beautiful, man. I mean, I mean, to see a coach with that, I mean, Ron, Ive is the guy who's not a stranger to adversity either. You know, this guy beat cancer a couple years ago. Remember that? Right. So anyway, I just. I don't care what team you root for. Look, I mean, as a cowboy fan, I'm not particularly fond of Washington either. You know what I mean? Yeah. But, but, but in under these circumstances, you rather root for, for Washington over Philly, because Philly's number one in the in the division, So I get it. Yeah. But, but, but I think to me, what trump's all that is the human story of Ron Rivera and just kind of what went down in the Washington locker room after the game. Very cool to see him dedicate that, that one to his. I mean, okay, you put me in a spot. How, how can I talk smack to that, to that comment? So I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna leave it be Oh man. I never thought I'd see a day where you wouldn't be elated. That your former team had a great Oh, no. Like, like I said, I have every reason, I have every reason to to be happy about the win because it made me look brilliant. But again, it's, it's, I feel, I feel bad for the Eagles because they just ran. You feel bad for the Eagles, you feel bad, bad for Bill Gates too. No. Maybe depends. But, but look, no, they, they literally, I can, Okay, here's the thing. I can feel for them. I can feel for them. So, you know, everything that is frustrating. Everything seems like the football guards were against them. Yeah, it was one of those games, Nothing went right. The learn from it looked Philadelphia is still hell of a football team. And yeah, you, you're right about that game potentially being, being a trap game. And the thing with Phil, if you look at Philly's schedule, it's, it's one of the easiest strength of schedules in the entire league. So they're, they're still to me on, very much on track to be. Not only win the east, but be the number one seed in the nfc. So I wouldn't panic if I'm fully unfortunate loss, but it's bound to happen. It's the nfl, like you said, Char, you guys are pros too. They get paid as well. So moving forward, Char we're moving into the, the, the, the, the noonish territory of this game. Game of the week might be the game of the year. Char Minnesota, going up to Buffalo. Josh Allen does play in this. He was active. And so does that linebacker, the one that you were ranting and raving for about Yeah. No, I mean, look, Minnesota, long story short, this game went overtime, Minnesota, pulling out the 33 to 30 victory on the arm of Kirk Cousins and the hands of Justin Jefferson in a game shower where, where the bills. Were up two scores in the second half Minnesota showing the flight to come back down. Actually, I'm sorry, they were up three scores. It was 27, 10 in the third quarter of this ballgame, and Minnesota coming all the way back to force overtime. Now, what I didn't like in particular, Char, late in the fourth quarter of this football game, Buffalo had the opportunity. To go up 13 points. It was 27, 17. They had the ball in field goal range went forward on fourth down failed. And that really gave Minnesota the opening. It needed to come back and take a lead and then ultimately Buffalo tied it in regulation. So much insanity in this game. Shark, I mean, even the way, even the manner in. Minnesota took the lead lit in the fourth quarter. I mean, they were, they were backed up. They had Buffalo backed up because they had failed Char, They had basically been on the one yard line and they could not punch it on fourth and goal down 27, 23. And so everyone thought the game was over. Oh, Buffalo's gonna get the ball back. There's less than two. There was, what, 40, 49 seconds left from the game. And I, I texted my friends, I said, This ball's in the one inch line like buffalo is not out of the woods here. They've gotta like run a play and get a few, a couple, a yard or two to get some breathing room. Lo and behold, Char, the first play of that drive for Buffalo after just stopping Minnesota, the one inch line, they fumble it center, center quarterback exchange gets bought. Minnesota recovers in the end zone. They go up 30 to 20. And Buffalo is able to tie in regulation. Minnesota wins in overtime. What a game. The back and forth, the drama. I mean, what can you say, Char Minnesota? I, I, I tip my hat. Is that all you have to say? I was gonna let you go first. You, you, I, I I can keep going. No, I know you can keep going. I mean, that, that, that's one of your many talents. But, but literally, did you, when you listened to last week's episode, The, the, the things that you were saying, the way you were hedging yourself and the way you were saying Minnesota is always, Were you wrong about Minnesota? I was wrong about Minnesota. 100% right. I was, Look, yes, I'm, I, I have no problem saying I was wrong about Minnesota. This team is for real. Now what I'll say, Char, is the reality of it. Is that up to this game, they really hadn't beat anybody. And that's, And that's why you were saying, Well, Corro, you can only play who's on her schedule. True. But if you actually dissect who they had played, I don't think it was crazy to infer. Well, we don't, we haven't really seen them truly tested quite yet. Well, you No, no. What, what your biggest mistake was not listening to noonish, I said it. You can't deny they had not faced heavy competition. They play the dolphins of the thirsting quarterback. They just, it seems like every team they played, they lost their quarterback. Like they really had not had a signature win this year. Even the packers that they beat week one. End up losing, you know, like they weren't the packages we thought they'd be. So like there were, I think, some rightful questions as to the validity of this team. And I wasn't saying they were a bad team. Again, my argument was, This is a similar upper mediocre Vikings team that just have happened to have fallen to a set of circumstances that have allowed them to have a really good record. Right? This is what you said, what you said. This is the same Minnesota team I did. That was seen over and over again, and what did I say? I said, no. What did I say? I said, They have a dynamic offense that can score on anybody, number one. Then number two, I said they have a defense that's much better than people giving credit. They gave up 30 points, but yeah. Hold on, hold on, hold on. You're talking about they gave up 30 points to Buffalo. You're trying to tell me that defense isn't better than what you gave him credit for? Let's, let's talk. You know what, Forget it. Let's forget about me being, Let's talk about this game today. Today is not the day for me to say anything bad about the fight. Okay. Let tell you something. They are No, I'll be very clear. The Vikings are for real. Okay. The Vikings can overcome Advers. Right. They, I mean, you were, they can go to a hostile environment and go back, win a hostile environment, cold weather game where you were down three scores in the second half. I, I got nothing to say other than they're for real. And I was at halftime. At halftime they were down by a lot. Right. And here, here's, here's the storyline. At halftime, they had a miss pick six that Dr. That early on in the game that Josh Allen threw, that should have been a pick six. Okay. They don't, they don't get that Buffalo goes on and, and kicks the field goal. It's a 10 point turnaround. Then they had an offensive PI followed by a mis defensive hold. That should have been, that should have been a touchdown. They four point turnaround. Cause Minnesota ends up only getting a field goal out of that. That's huge. Then they have a, then they have a fourth and five or fourth and whatever it. Take the three fucking points and, and look, I know Buffalo the same thing. So they returned a favor and, and it's like, I don't freaking get it. Take the three freaking points. You think they would've liked being up 13 there? I mean, like, so Yeah. So look, having set all of that, Minnesota is exactly who I thought they were. Minnesota's a team that, that if if, if everything's firing for'em, they can, they can beat any team in the nfl. And the reason K, the reason why, why I was on a much higher than what I've usually been is because Kirk cousin is statistically having one of us lower, lower years. And, and they're still like eight and one now, and they're, and which is, which is the opposite of, of what we used to say about'em. Her cousin would come out and throw for 4,200 yards. And, you know, 25, 30 touchdowns and there would still just be like a nine and six team or, you know, so it was like when we would call, you know, Matt Stafford, Stat Bradford, because you had Pat, but they wouldn't really go anywhere when he was with Lions. Right. So, no, Minnesota's for real. There's still, there's still the third best team in the nfc. Let's not, let's not overreact. They're still the third best. No, I agree. No, but they're, but they're like, they. Legit. They're, they're very legit. Look, they can course, they ran the ball and, and, and here's, and here's the thing. Talk about players thought. Yeah. To me, to me, Char, they were an upper mediocre team that had beat up on lesser competition for eight weeks. Okay. Nine weeks. They're a good team. They ran. No, no, no, no, no, no. They are, they are. Maybe, I'm not ready to say they're elite yet, but they, they can absolutely. Get to an elite level with a win like this, You still think that, that, that you're gonna lose in the playoffs first game, no matter who they face. I don't know how you can after this game. I mean like, like, like anything's possible, but today is not the day. I'm I'm, I'm What you were saying is that they're still not gonna win a playoff game. No, and I told you, I said that was on the premise. That these are the same Vikings. They're not the same Vikings. Right. So, And what did I say? I, I said they have a legit, again, did I say they're gonna win the nfc? No, I, I, What? I said, I said they have a legitimate chance if, if San Francisco and Philadelphia fall on the same. Bracket side of, of the nfc bracket cha and the playoffs, they have a legitimate chance of going to the playoffs. And if San Francisco somehow beats Philly, which is very doable, very doable, they're gonna host the NFC Championship game in Minnesota. That's again, Do I, do I think, do I think they're better than Philadelphia? No. Do I think they're better than San Francisco? There's a path forward. There's a path forward and sure there, I mean, credit there. Their stars came out to play. You know, both Josh Allen and Kirk Cousins. One touchdown, two interceptions. So, so tough, tough there. Alan, of course, had the fumble late in the fourth quarter, they gave Minnesota the touchdown that took the lead late in the game. So tough sequence there, but three 50. Through the air for cousins Davin Cook, a buck 19 on the ground now. Now 81 of that was on a single play. They got Minnesota back in the game, so certainly clutched by him. And then Justin Jefferson, I mean, come. 10 for 1 93 and I touchdown on this one in a game shark where Stefan Diggs wanted to show Minnesota. You made a mistake moving on for me. Justin and Jeff were saying Uhuh. I'm that guy now, but hey digs know loud you there? He had 12 for 1 28 so it all the game for him. But man, I mean, talk about your best players. Taking the game over when you need it most. How much more clutch can you get than that jar? No, you can and, and what you, you know, let's not discredit Delvin cook because he, that 81 yard touchdown was huge. I mean, and then he also had a 15 yarder in, in overtime and, and the fourth quarter he was, he was, he was gashing. It, it was, it was awful. The kid, the kid was gashing him. So, sorry. How about, how about the old man, Patrick Peterson? Two interceptions in the end zone for him, including the game ceiling play in overtime that sealed it from Minnesota. Old man Peterson. Still got some in the tank, didn't. No, absolutely. And, and this was my point where I said their defense is better than people giving credit for their de look. They still have older players like, Okay, Kendricks okay. Phenomenal, phenomenal linebacker the last 10 years, all right, He's getting older, He's not as fast, but guess what? He can still make, He can still make well savvy, savvy veteran it. Daniel Hunter is, is he still like he's, he's still Daniel Hunter's good. They got the Darius Smith from Green Bay. So their defense is, their defense is much better than people giving credit for. And look, here's what's gonna happen now. People are gonna freaking overreact and are gonna drive them up there. They're gonna drive them up in, in their, in their the power. They were already up there for a lot of people cause of their record, you know? But, but yeah, even more they're gonna put, like, they, they should not be head of San F. And they should not be ahead of Philadelphia. Some, some stupid idiot is gonna put'em ahead of Philadelphia. You watch, you watch, I mean, Philadelphia lost. Okay? And it's not like they beat up on some meet up your team. This was a hell of a win. Right. I think when you juxtapose Philly, losing at home to Washington and the Vikings going up to Buffalo and win that game, you know I do. I think they're better than Philly. No, but I actually, ironically, Would have a little more sympathy for power rankers if they put'em ahead of'em this week because of what's, you know, what's freshest on our mind right now. But come, no, this is, This is not how we operate though. This is not how we operate. No, I'm not saying it should be. I'm just saying. I understand. It's, it's, it's, it's a, it's a situation where, it's a situation where where we look, anything can happen in the nfl. Again, these are all professional football players, and I've always said the difference between the top players and the, and the, and an average player is, is, is minuscule and sometimes just depends on preparation. That's all it is. So let's, let's take it easy. Let's take it easy. Minnesota, still the same Minnesota that we thought they. Well, you thought they were, I mean, they, they, right in my mind, they've elevated from what I thought they were with this win. And fair enough. They're, they are, they, they, they are a very real team that I honestly sure didn't think they really had much of a path to the conference championship. I, I, I absolutely see it now. I absolutely see it now. If this team is, is who they are, hell went and Buffalo. Now it's six and three. We talked about their last. Being huge for seating. Now you gotta think, you know, with that Buffalo Char Buffalo came into the week, okay? As the number two team in the AFC with that loss, char, they're now down to number six. I thought they were the number one team in the afc. They were number two because KC had a, was a Actually no, you're right. They were. Cause they, they had the tiebreaker over KC, right? Yeah. They were the number one. They draw from one to six, even more so kus now they're not even leading their own division. Nope. They're third, Their third place in their own division. They third place. Cause you're right. So you know what that means, right? The jet. Dolphins and dolphins. Dolphins just bills. But, but you know what that means now. Right? And by the way, New England is one game behind him too, right? Right. But what does it mean? It means that Uncle Char, No sir, No Sir Don is gonna go today and bet heavy for them to win the AFC Championship. Okay. Because he's, he's going to get the best odds he would all year around, all year for, to build some of the AFC Championship. I still, I still have Kansas City as a better. And I picked him to beat. But you know, it's all about making money. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna bet, I'm gonna bet Bills are gonna win. The division bills are gonna win the championship and make, and make some sweet money. So, because, you know, what we do is we always, we always do the Warren Buffet system. We're always, you know, Zig when everybody else is That was your, that was your KC and Tampa Bay special the past couple years. Yeah. And, and you know what, When KC lost two when they lost to Buffalo and then they lost to. Before that they had lost to Baltimore. Yeah, I, I bet them heavy to my AFC champion. Cause that's the best odds I was getting. Okay, guys, you heard it from Uncle Char. That's pearls of wisdom right there for you guys. But Char what a game. Let's, let's go now to the team that's gonna be facing the Vikings next week. And that would be, and I don't wanna talk about it, but we have to cause we're doing the show. But that would be Dallas Cowboys blowing. In the fourth quarter against the Packers And look, I like, I I, Aaron Rogers has broken me that that's it. I mean, he, he owns the Cowboys. That's, that's all there is to it. I mean, if you can't beat this version of the Packers I don't know what hope you have. This game also went over time, like Vikings Bills Cowboys had a 14 point lead in the fourth quarter, and simply, We're not able to pull anything out. And a lot went wrong in this game. At the end, the Cowboys had a good drive going in overtime. It was thwarted by penalties. They just, you know, then they decided to go for it on fourth down instead of kicking it a 53 yard field goal when Brett Mahar been making it from 58 and warmups. Reportedly, that was a little bit odd. 31 28, the final score here. It was just very frustrating. I, you know, once the packers got into the physical range, and over time I turn the TV off, I'm like, Why am I gonna sit here and watch and experience a slow death? I just turn it off. I was like, I don't even know. So I didn't even see how it ended. I just was, I was, I was sick and, and honestly, this is, this is what I think a lot of cowboy fans get frustrated with when it comes to McCarthy, Mike McCarthy. He looks good when the game flows as it. The moment you get to what you call char nut cutting time or pressure, or it's crucial or you've gotta change something up down the stretch to adjust. He doesn't do it. And this game was an example of that. And look, I mean, the cowboys are still, I think they're still a decent team. They're probably a playoff team. But these type of games are exactly, I think, highlight the limitations. You're always gonna. With a coach like McCarthy, he did not get his homecoming win. It ended up being a disaster. He, he, he lost to his old team, Aaron Rods alones, the Cowboys, and now the Cowboys gotta go up to Minnesota to play Suring surging Vikings team. Which, sure. By the way, I wanna, I wanna talk about this for a second too. Well get, I wanna put us in your radar. I wanna hear your thoughts on the game, but Sure. Despite Minnesota's win this Cowboys Loft, the Cowboys are favored by two points at Minnesota. I don't understand how that's possible, but First Shark, gimme your take on on the screen Bay dollars game. So we still have Aaron Rogers and, and you know, he finally got, he finally got his young receiver in tune, even though the guy had two drops. So, look, it, it's still a dynamic offense. And, and I think, remember we talked about it and, and this is the reason why I picked him to win. I, I said if there's ever a time to get right for the Packers, this would be. So at home to Dallas, Aaron Jones. A hell of a game. You said Shark Christian Watson, The rookie. Four catches, three from touchdowns. I mean, what a breakout game for him and Aaron Jones carrying the mail. 24 for a buck 38 and a touch for him. You know what? A game, 200 plus combined rushing yards between him and the quad father. AJ, Dillon you know, Dak Prescott mostly paid well. He had two interceptions that really both of them were on the receiver. If you look at, if you go back and look running, running, poor routes, unfortunately one of those picks cost to cowboys. Points. Cowboys turning both, Excuse me, Packers turning both interceptions into points. 14 points of a turnovers for Green Bay, but outside of that, 2 65, 3 tds, cd, Lamb career day 11 for one 50. And then Tony Pollard keeps, keeps on keeping on. They didn't have ze in this game, but Tony Pollard, 22 for a buck 15 in a touchdown. He looked good. He looked good. So so, you know, Dallas on offense played really well. They just could not maintain that 14 point lead down the stretch. It just, they, when it came to nut cutting time, they couldn't do it. And this is, this is why. Mike McCarthy, in my opinion, is not going to take you to the promised land. He's gonna be a decent fine coach. You give him a talented team, he's gonna look fine when nothing goes wrong. But the moment it gets a little bit tighter and the air gets a little bit thinner, he's gonna panic or just not do anything. One mistake. One mistake. Come on, K. What mistake did he make? You gotta make an adjust. On defense, you've got, I mean, when you got in overtime, you're in a 53 yard field goal range. They were saying repeatedly, Brett Maher had been making it from 58 warmups. Why do you not get the field goal there? Take a lead. He's been nails all year from 50 plus. That, that to me was perplexing. It just I don't like what I saw. When you have a 14 point lead against a reeling team in the fourth quarter, you gotta close that game out. You gotta close that game out. So Unfortunate and Aaron Rogers, he was so efficient, man. I mean he, he got it done and it was really Christian Watson and Aaron Jones with the guys that beat us. I mean, really, if you look at the rest of the Packer's, offense didn't do much. They just did just enough. And I think this is the kind of game where cowboys probably win seven out. This was this. This was the 30% that this Packer team won, and it is what it is. Char, how God's name is Dallas favored against Minnesota at Minnesota next week after this loss and the way Minnesota won at Buffalo. How is that even possible? I think it's a combination of, of Dallas losing a tough game. And Minnesota winning a tough game. So maybe that's what it is. But I'm, I'm gonna bet I'm gonna take the home underdog that sit that has one loss. Everybody's gonna be betting that. Like, like who, Who, who. You'd have to be an idiot not to bet that, and I think the lion's probably gonna move as a game gets closer. Well, it's, I think it's minus two. I would take that, I would take the Vikings plus two. All that. It seems like, like an easy, I have a feeling that by the time, by the time, you know, we're into our third or fourth, fifth years, you're gonna start bidding. I'm gonna get you to start betting No, I can't. I can't, I can't do that. But it's, it's, it's, it's fun to think about. I just wanna think, look, I'm, I'm, I'm Act, I'm, I'm thankful that I don't. I feel like if that, if that's the door that I open, I, I could definitely fall into some serious degeneracy, so Oh, absolutely. With, with the way, but how emotional, But how emotional you get Listen, Sean, with football, your, your kids are outta the house, man. I mean, I still got, I still got three little ones that I, I'm trying to, you know, get to that point. So Minnesota, not Minnesota's a plus one now. Okay. So it already went, it already went down. Right. It's, it's, it's, it's probably gonna go to a pick. At some point, I would think I'm, I'm gonna be Minnesota right next to win. That's disrespectful. Like, like, you know, I'm, I'm a cowboy fan who didn't think Minnesota was for real. After this week, Minnesota should be favored. This should be, to me, at least a minus two and a half type game for Minnesota at home. Coming off that win. I mean, that place is gonna be rocking. I thought, I thought it would be a Minnesota minus four. Yeah, I said at least two and a half. So I mean, I agree. I agree with you. It's, I mean, I mean, why, why is Vegas Overvaluing Dallas so much? I maybe Cause they don't see him as being, as losing two two games in a row. Anyway, this is where we are. I was really ready to get back on the bandwagon show. I was, And McCarthy. McCarthy again, he, he. Broke my heart and I mean, this would've been the game he got us over the air in Rogers hump, back in his old stomping grounds. It wasn't to be and a long we. Okay, let's move to our, our third stop of the Nore Danish World Tour. And we're gonna, we're gonna cross the Atlantic Char and go out to Munich, Germany, where a certain somebody did have the Buccaneers winning this game. And Tom Brady, the goat saying Dunhan taking that win against Seattle Bucks. Five and five after this victory. People, some people are silly pointing out that Tom Brady is now two and oh since the divorce So I dunno for those, for those keeping score, if that's at any effect. But he looked good. 22 29, 2 58, 2 picks, their defense came to play. You know, holding. Rookies, rookie, Kenneth Walker to 17 yards on 10 carries. You, you called that as well, Char. Thank. Thank you. Julio Jones had a nice 30 yard touchdown. Rashad White, the rookie 22 for 1 0 5. Leonard Fort 57 on the ground as well. A really nice, well balanced performance by the Buccaneers here. Sharp are the bucks. Yes, but hesitantly saying yes. Cause look, the, the, you got New Orleans losing to Pittsburgh. Yeah. You got an absolute shit show in, in in Carolina and and Atlanta. So I mean, yes, they're, they're, they're gonna, they're gonna win the division. They're gonna, they're gonna be in the playoffs. And then, you know, at that point you got Tom Brady. And, and look, they got a dynamic run, a young runner. And, and, and you know, you still have Uncle Lenny. So look, when are you gonna learn not to go against me when I make a call? Listen, I, I feel like we don't give enough credit to my accurate predictions, but, but you know, Well, no, no, no. But when, when have you been so accurate? When you're directly diametrically opposed your views to mine? Come on. Come on now. I, I, I was this, this, this was a bad week for me. I was, I was dead wrong on Minnesota Dead wrong on Tampa. I, there's another way to say it. I mean, you're right. And what did I tell you? I gave you two major reasons. I said for Seattle to go to Munich. And basically have a 12 hour time difference or whatever, 10 hour time difference. Yeah, it's no joke. I told you they're gonna have to wake up at 2 33 in the morning to go to the stadium by, by three 30 in the morning. So that's no joke. Seattle is a running team. I told you Tampa has a phenomenal run defense. That's no joke. And, and what did I tell you, Tom Brady? Gets forced into a panicky situation when his guards and centers can't defend him. And I told you the weakness of the Seattle defense was the interior me, you know of, of their D-line. So I knew that Tom was gonna have a decent time. No sacks on top. No. And, and, and no hits. And, and, and look the, the man walker, he's phenomenal. He's an absolute set. He have what, 17 yards rushing? Yep. On, on. So actually Gino Smith was the leading rusher on the team with 20. So, So there you have it. I mean, I, I don't need to say anything. I, I, I, I called it, and I told you, and I said, the reason for it is for those, for those re you know, I told you it's not an emotional, it has nothing to do with emotions. It has nothing to do with beating the Rams the week before. It purely had to do with the fact that Seattle's playing on a, on on basically a ridiculous schedule. Ridiculous schedule. And Seattle did kind of come back and make it a game at the end. Yeah. By the time they woke. But you know, Smith then, you know, 2 75, 2 tds, no picks. I mean, he's still playing. Well. I think Seattle, to your point, just wasn't able to run the ball and was not able to really mount pressure on Tom Brady to make him uncomfortable. And Tom Brady just going to his host of weapons here Godwin, Evans, Julio, all above 50 yards receiving. So everybody getting into the party here. So yeah, man, it was a great game for, for for Tampa. Are they back? I mean, yeah, they're certainly in control in the NFC South. They're now the fourth seed in the NFC by virtue of being the division leader. So I'm not ready to say they're back back, but this is certainly a nice win and you know, Yeah, like, like everyone's pointing out. So I'm Brady two and oh, since the divorce, so tip the hat. Yeah. So again, like I said ma matchups make games and styles make fights, so this was a perfect matchup for Tom Brady. It was, it was, And credit, credit to him. And I think Seattle, I mean, I still feel fine about Seattle. They're probably not gonna win the West with the Niners being, being on, on the pro here, but I do. They are still a playoff team and they played still pretty well in the loss. And when you think of all the adversity from the travel and all that they had to go through I'm still high on Seattle. I don't know about you, but I'm not too worried about them. Yeah. But 49ers are gonna come and win that division, so Yeah. No, but I see Seattle still be in a playoff team, a walk car team. May, maybe, maybe you got, you got some teams in the NFC East that, that might have something to say about that. You have to, you have a resurgent Green Bay Packers. There's still five and five, so they can still make the playoffs. They're only one game behind Seattle, so, Right. Well the Packers are, No, the Packers are like four and six. They are, I thought they were five and five. No, they're four and six. Well, yeah, I mean, there were three insects going into them. It's, I gotcha. Okay. Were you trying to say that to me to make me have to relive the packers actually being No, no. Honestly, I thought they were five for some reason. I honestly didn't. No, they're not. They're, they're, they're foreign insects. Yeah. I mean Seattle and SF love the inside track on them. Tampa and actually even even the Cardinals are, have the same records. So yeah, there's a lot of kind of jumble up in the, in the nfc, but the NFC East man, I mean, the worst team is at five and five being Washington. So, I mean, there's a reality where every team can make it to the playoffs, probably not gonna happen. But still a lot to be determined for sure. But I still like the brand of football that Seattle's playing. Sharp. Let's go, let's go to. Maybe the one game you didn't nail on the betting line. And that is Indianapolis, Las Vegas. Yeah. And I'm just gonna preface this one, Char. So I was, so my wife doesn't really listen to the podcast, you know what I mean? She's not really into football or anything. She thinks it's cool that we're doing this, but like she's not listening or I don't think she knows what we're talking about half the time. But I was, I was kind of playing her our kind of back and forth. On on Jeff Saturday last week and some of the Minnesota stuff, and she was just laughing hysterically in the car and she was like, I can't wait for Char. To hand you your ass on Monday, And she goes, she's like, Man, we need to have Char over at the house. I feel like char's the kind of guy ever we came over, we just stay up talking until two in the morning. You know? He just seems like he's good people. Oh, that's very nice. So whatever you were doing, roasting me, she was, she was getting a lot of pleasure outta that. She's like, I, I like this guy But, but man, I. Jeff Saturday. I mean, people were saying, call him Jeff Sunday, twenty five twenty, Indianapolis. Getting to win in Las Vegas. Jonathan Taylor. Hell of a game you kind of called. Well, what if Matt Ryan comes off the bench? He did. Actually, he wasn't off the bench. He started this game. That's why I want it to happen. If you remember, he looked good. 200, 222 yards of touchdown no picks. Jonathan Taylor, a buck 47. Including a 66 yard touchdown run for him. He's back shocking, sharp. A healthy Matt Ryan, a healthy Jonathan Taylor. This offense is actually halfway decent and Raiders are just, they kinda keep Raider under Josh McDaniels. You know, some of the stats look decent on paper, but they just, man, they continue to give it up at inopportune times and not enough in the tank. I think they were driving late in the game. To, to try and win and just stalled deep into plus territory so we're not able to, to close out and get the victory. And Jeff, Saturday one. Oh. Look as you, as you said it, char, did you me say roll snake eyes here. Okay. One game is, is a little bit too early to say that, but he definitely on his first roll did roll a one. So the next time he is the second guy is still spinning. We're we're trying. So look, here's, here's, here's the thing. I liked it because I said, This is a nolo situation. This is a nolo situation for him, and doesn't matter what happens. And again, to all those haters, like, like Joe Thomas, he can kiss my ass. I mean, disrespectful. Joe Thomas said that Jim Ore basically hired his drinking buddy. Okay. Kiss my ass, Joe Thomas, kiss my fucking ass. I mean, he's a, he's a fellow left tackle you. He, he is, but he's just, he's just giving the, he's just giving the, the line of, Oh, I need to say what I need to say and I need to be proper, and I need, and I need to, But sure. We did agree that hiring was a bit perplexing. Right. I mean, I mean, perplexing is different than disrespectful. Okay. Who's he disrespectful to? It's like, it's like me Look, it's like me. Look, I belong to this club. Okay. I belong to this club where I go in and there's a lot of rich old white men in, in, in that club, okay? They dress differently and they act differently in a locker room than, than you would you would expect. Okay? They're peculiar and perplexing behavior is not necessarily disrespectful when I see'em wearing a, a, the, the a pla orange and green golf pants. Alright, I, I, I might come out and say that that's peculiar. I'm not gonna say, Oh my God, that is so disrespectful. The guy has a, the guy has a right to do whatever the fuck he wants, but his football team plain and. No, No, it's, Yeah, and I think it's not about him having a right. Of course he can do whatever he wants, but at the same time, it, it's, it's unprecedented what we saw with Jeff that we've never seen a situation like this where dude, With no college or pro experience. It was called up, you know, In fact, I saw, I saw, I saw funny, a funny meme that was like, every team should, every team facing the Raiders should just hire some random guy to come team that week to see if they could also be Josh McDaniels. Yeah. No, look, it's, Look, Ed Green. James had a great tweet. I don't know if you saw it or not. I didn't see it. No. What'd he say? He, he said there were four or five. US presidents that were elected into office without having. Public prior political or public service experience, You know you're talking about Dwight Eisenhower, you're talking about General Lee's kinda a reach of analogy. I'm, you, listen, you know, he mentioned Donald Trump. He mentioned like, you know he, he said a lot of those, his, his point is let's before we all jump the gun, Let's all wait and see what happens and see what the result is, and then come out and start putting the guy on the firing squad. But, but, but I don't think he is jumping the gun to say disrespectful. No, not necessarily. Not regretful. No. But it's, it's just, it's never been done before. Right. That's all great. And, and you know, I heard some people make a point of saying, Well, look, you don't see Peyton Manning coming out and supporting it. Why wouldn't he do that? Right. You don't, because Peyton Manning has a, has a show, has an active show. That relies a lot on viewership. And if I was paid manning, I wouldn't say a word either. Well, in any case, I, I, I also like Jeff Saturday's postgame quotes here, basically to paraphrase what he said, Char, and it was kind of in line with what you were saying too. You said, if the cults win this game, it won't have much to do with Jeff Saturday. And what I understand was my job was to just put the coaches that are, that have been here in the best position to. He picked a play collar offense. Looked pretty good, didn't it? Right? Yeah. And defense maybe plays down the stretch, like, like he just said, Guys, do what you do. Let me know where I can help you. Be the best version of yourself. Like that. That's really what he's doing, right? He's, And as a head coach, maybe that that's all you gotta do. That's the formula, right? Just be a leader of men, essentially. So, great win. If I'm Frank, I'm kind of a little bit irked in the sense that like, yeah, I'm not gonna look great as a coach. When you forced me to play Sam Ellinger. Clearly that was kind of like, to me that seemed like IE. Probably wanted him a reason to, to have him out. You know, obviously I think if you got Frank Wright coaching the same team, they're probably gonna do pretty well against the Raiders as well. I course I was against Frank Craig getting. Yeah. So I agree with you. I, I agree with you, but in any case, wanna know for Jeff Saturday Shark, I gotta ask you this question. What is Josh McDaniel's thinking and feeling as he has to walk to midfield at the end of the game and shake hands with Jeff Saturday, who just defeated him on his own turf? I mean, does it get any worse than that for Josh McDaniels and to follow two and seven in the. I, I don't, I don't understand how, I don't understand how it could, it's, I, I kind of know how it feels because again, remember I was part of that team in 98, we were oh seven and every week I had a contract with this with this restaurant that I had to go out on Monday night and uh, and talk about the game and talk about not just my game, but just the Monday night. Guys, we promised this time it's gonna be different, right? Honestly, by the seventh, by the seventh week, I was like, I don't even know what to say to you guys. I'm so sorry. I like it was just a lost and bewilderment. It's, it's a feeling of loss and bewilderment and, and it's like he's, he's in a tailspin. He's on a plane. Just no matter what you do, he can't gain control of it. And it, it's, it's, I feel for the guy. I feel for the guy because when you have an offensive genius that comes in like that and his. Is not being productive. Maybe this is a situation where the guy has a little bit of a North Turner syndrome. You know, it's, it's just a phenomenal offensive play call, but not, not a very, you know, great head coach. Char, I wanna play you this clip. I dunno if you saw Derek Carr in the post game press conference, did you happen to catch that? No. Well, he, he definitely got emotion. Check out what he had to say here and give, give me your reaction to it. I love, I love Josh. I love the car, I love our coaches. They've had nothing but success, you know, way more success than I've ever had, you know, And you know, I'm sorry. Derek you know, sorry, continue to finish that. Sorry for being emotional, I'm just pissed off. But some of the things, you know, that a lot of us try and do just to practice what we put our bodies through just to sleep at night. Hey, listen, result of all that effort pisses me off. Pisses a lot of guys off. It's hard knowing what some guys are doing, like I said, just to practice what they're putting in their body just to sleep at night. Like, just so we could be there for each other. And I wish everybody in that room felt the same way about this place. And as a leader, that pisses me off from being honest. So you, I mean, Peaky there peak emotions and, and I wanna get your take short on that short one thing at the end. He says, I wish everyone else, everyone in the locker. Right. Essentially that same mentality, and it pisses me off as a leader, right? So that tells you something. And then Devonte Adams was also quoted after the game as saying not everybody's bought in on the team. So what that exactly means, who he's talking about. But there seems to be some, something amiss in that locker room as well. But your initial reaction chart just to the way the emotion of Derek Carr, I forgot. Oh, I, I love the fact that he's so emotional about it, but the thing that I didn't like and I started kind of like squinting at is when when I, He's, he's calling people out at the end. Yeah, yeah. And. think, you know, and maybe it's something he wasn't doing before. He wasn't doing it before, but now that you're two and seven, maybe just he's like, It needs to be said because like this is, But why though? It's a raw moment. Yeah. Maybe it wasn't something he planned to say when he got up there and it just kind of came out as he was knowing it. Yeah, but he mentioned it and then, and then he, and then he doubled down on it. I, I don't think, Well, and then Devonte and Devonte also said not everyone's bought in, so they, they they both, they both have kind of alluded to that. Are they talking about each other? No, I don't. I think they're talking about other people on the. I just, I, I just don't like it. I, I, you don't need the media. I don't like it, but I, I, I give somebody who's in clear emotional distress a little bit more of a pass. And I know maybe that doesn't make a difference at the end result, but this, I mean, the, you know, hockey may not feel something when he says you. We put our body through just to be able to sleep and go to practice. Okay. Okay. You know what, That's every football player. Yeah, it is. It is. Are you, Are you trying to you But I think what he's saying is when we do all that and some guys aren't bought in, that's frustrating. I don't like it. Okay. I don't, I don't like it. It doesn't sit well with me. This is a conversation that you need to have. This is a conversation you need to have with your teammates, even if it's true, Even if it's true. Even if it's true. Of course. I'm not saying it's not true. I'm not there. I don't know if it's true or not. Right. I don't, I I don't K What does it serve to say that's the media? Well, and here's the thing, Char, like, like is like, what if, what if Derek Carr and Devonta Adams are saying this because perhaps they think it's past the point of being salvaged. Right? But what, what are you, what are you gaining by saying this? The only thing you're gaining is saying, Hey people, hey, all, all you guys. And, and, and Hey Joe, Public, it's not my. That's what you're saying? Yeah. I mean, it's not, it's not me guys. I'm bought in, I'm bought in. It's, it's some unnamed guy in, in the locker room that's not bought in. You're right. It's, it's, it's odd to say, but, but sure. I'm not surprised. I mean, they're two and seven. The wheels are falling off. These are the kind of things that happen to teams that are two and seven, like I'm not w with, and sure, let's put it in perspective here. Josh McDaniels didn't inherit. Some dumpster fire. You got a playoff team, okay. That you added Devonte Adams to, that you added Chandler Jones to, and a host of other pieces, right? They were not this, this was a good football team last year. Competitive we both talked about it. They, they hung with the Bengals till the very end in that wild card round. Like this was not the expectation coming into the year, which almost makes you wonder. Did they, Did they mess up? Not giving Versace a chance? And I get he's a special teams coach kind of came in and Well, of course they did. I mean, in hindsight of course they did. Yeah. I mean, yeah. In hindsight, yes, absolutely. In hindsight, I'm sure if you talk to, if you talk to Mr. Davis. He'll tell you, you know, if he's being completely honest, he's, he's not gonna go the same way. He, there's, there's no way. There's no way. Why would you, why would you make it change like this? So you can be two and seven and have your team captain and quarterback for the last 10 years come out and say, Hey, Joe, Public, this is my fault. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm going to bed in pain. You know, you know what, Derek Carter, look, I'm a fan of Derek cars as a human being and as a football player, I just don't, So I'm not, I'm gonna keep myself from telling him to kiss my ass. So I'm not gonna say that. Because I, I have a lot of respect for him. But, but look, as, as a quarterback, you, you're not, you're not, you're not in that much pain, buddy. Okay. I, I got news for you. I, I got news for you there. There's running backs and there's linemen offensive and defensive linemen that are in a lot more pain than you are. So, so give, so, gimme a break, number one. Number two, the fact that you're gonna come out there and say, Hey, Joe, Public, it's not my fault. It's somebody else on this team. It, it just, to me, it's, that's a, that's a punk move. That, that, that's a bitch move. That's a punk move. So I, I don't, I don't like it. I don't like that's, you know, I don't like it, but I understand it. And because I understand it and because I understand it, it's a little more palatable. But I agree with you overall. Char not a fan of it. We'll see where this leads. We'll see, I. Courage. Go, go and pull up every single one of my interviews. In 98 when we were on seven and we weren't just on seven by a little bit, we were losing games by like three touchdowns or more. And not once, Not once did I call out a teammate, I kept saying, It starts with our offensive line. It starts with me as, as, as the leader of the offensive line. Yeah. And, and we just gotta improve. Not once did I talk about how our, our, our, our, we, we had the, we had the, we had the most expensive interior defensive line in that year with Dana Stubblefield and Big Daddy Wilkinson. And people were running rough shot all over us. Okay. Not once did I talk about that. Not once did I talk about Trent Green. Well, well to be fair, like Derek Carter didn name, names. Right. But now once did I come out and say, Hey look, I'm playing with a, I was playing with a double hernia and not once did I say I'm playing with a double hernia and I can't pick up my son off the floor. Not once did I freaking say that. I always blame myself and I always blame the old line. So come on, come on. Give me a break. Give me a break. I don't, Could this cost further? Division of law? Oh, could it? Are you kidding me? Yeah, this is, this is, this is Well, and Char tell me this, if, if, if you're a Raider fan. Cause I, I've been talking about it. I was like, if Josh McDaniels loses this game to this team with this coach at home, you gotta think he's in the hot seat. Well, he's been in a hot seat. I was gonna say not so fast. Ya. If you look at actually what Mark Davis is saying, he said, he said in an interview with the Las Vegas review journal after the game, as far as Josh. I have no issues. I'm getting to know him a lot better. I like Josh. I think he's doing a fantastic job. That's why I hired him. We did an exhaustive search and found the person we believe is gonna bring the Raiders to greatness. Well, that's good. What do you, if you're a Raider fan, what do you think if you're reading that quote, Nothing much. That's good because like, what do you want him to do? What do, what do you want him to do? I want him to not, I mean, I don't expect Matt tell a journalist he's fired, but geez, I mean, he, he doubled and tripled down, Right. While him being an amazing fit. Like, I don't wanna see that either. No, look, look, I just, again, maybe he's trying to give a vote conference to his coach so the guy can play loose or coach loose. I, I don't like it. You know what, you know what I think Mr. Davis should do? He should take a, he should take a play out of Earth's playbook. And bring in a former, former, highly intelligent offensive lineman that used to play for your team and, and name him the interim head coach and see what happens, Right, right, right. Exactly. I mean, shoot, at this point, at this point, We might all be doing some, somebody that has somebody that has high school coaching and and beyond Jeff. Beyond Jeff Saturday's high school three and seven record. He actually had, had, had a winning high school. listen. Sure, sure. I mean, didn't you run into Mark Davis at a restaurant in Vegas? Not too long ago. I, I did, except that I had, I had won too many bottles of wine and and I made a complete idiot of myself. Oh, bottles, not glasses, no bottles. Literally bottles. Multiple bottles. Hey. Never saying it's not too late, right? Yeah, yeah, that's true. What's it? M davis raiders.com. I think it's his email. You want, you wanna try it? Here's, here's the thing. I promise you he knows exactly who I am and he is not gonna forget. Neither is Jim. Great. I'll, Jim, I'll hook out the email subject the the guy who crashed your dinner with Jim Gray Well, I did crash him, but I, I ran into him at, at the at the Bella coming out from Prime Steakhouse. So yeah, it's the guy that couldn't remember Jim Gray and couldn't remember that he kept telling him who he was and kept sleeping to, so he was Jim. That makes a lot more sense. Cause you were saying Jim Nance and I was like, Jim Nance. Oh, Jim Gray. Yeah. Because yeah, I was like, Jim Nance was in a different city calling a game. Yeah. Jim, Jim Gray does the podcast with Tom Brady, the Let's Go podcast. Right. He hosts that with Tom Brady. Yeah. I, I, I kept saying, Man, I know you from somewhere. And this was like the fifth time. And, and Mark Davis kept saying, That's Jim freaking gray dude, And I kept saying, Oh, nice to meet you. And then 30 seconds later, Hey, you look very familiar. Oh my God. That was a shit show that was go on. Did Mark Davis realize that you were previously there for the Raiders alumni thing? Did, did Oh yeah, we spoke, No, we were talking about the, we were talking about the alumni event and, and, and I thanked him. What a great you. What a great event it was and, and how wonderful it was. I told him how all the players support John Gruden, how, how much we love John Gruin. I, I, I laid into dude. Well, look, I mean, I mean, Hey, Mr. Davis, if you're listening. Char, what are you? Just a four hour drive away. I mean, he can be there. He can be there by the end of the day. Three hours and 38 minutes is my, Yeah. 38 minutes, man. So, so look, I mean, you saw it work with the cults man. Why, Why not with Hey, you seen you've ever seen a water boy with Bobby Bouche? Adam, with Bobby on, Of course. Okay. Remember when they, they started having success, so they, other teams started putting their, their medical staff, the, and. Yeah, man. But in any case, good stuff, man. You know? We'll, we'll see what what happens next? I mean, the, the, the Jeff Saturday saga is gonna be just interesting throughout the year. I'm gonna be following that. Maybe we'll be, I'm happy for him. Kugar Rush. I gotta be honest. I'm happy for him. I'm gonna be for him too. I'm may for him too. And, and look for the Raiders, Char. I mean, you're going to Denver, which I know Denver Hasn. Playing too hot, but they're at home. It's one of the most difficult home fluid advantages. And then you're at Seattle. I mean, look, literally the two loudest places in the nfl. I mean, it's Denver, Seattle, kc, right? You're playing it at two of the top three loudest places in the nfl. Your next two games, they can be two and nine before they're home to the Chargers in December. So yeah, as, as a Raider friend, you're hoping that they pick up one of those games and then you. And, and then they kind of try to get put their heads above water. My last, my, my last point in this game, like is there any reality where MCs is one and done? Like if he goes two and 15, is he out? Like what? He doesn't win another game. Is it possibly he still coach next year? Ku, I honestly thought job security. I honestly thought that he would be out this week. I mean, I'm just like at this point in Mark GA's mind, what has to happen? For you to let this guy go. But you know, but he said that quote, We've also learned things to change very quickly in the nfl. Frank Reich's job was supposedly safe. That didn't pan out so well. Right. So I have a feeling, I have a feeling what Mark Davis is doing is, is trying to give Josh McDaniels an honest chance Yes. Of salvaging the season, which is the right thing to do. Which is the right thing to do. He is he. But but yeah, man, and look, Josh McDaniels really interesting here. Sharp with this game. If you recall, it's kind of a car, kind of a karma type game because Josh McDaniels had accepted the Indianapolis Colts had coaching job. And then pulled out at the last minute. That's actually why Frank Re ended up getting the job. Do you recall? It was a really dirty move because several of his coordinators had already quit their jobs to go to Indy, and he last second, I guess Bill Belichick is a great coach and a great salesman because he somehow sold them on staying in New England, and so Indie was in a tailspin, finding a new coach. I mean, that was one of the all time dirty moves. I. I think, I think it was a dirty move. Yeah. Is a right to do what he wants to do. Right. But don't accept it. Have coordinators quit jobs and come here and then, and then, I mean, come on, man. Like, that's, Do you know, Do you know? I heard, Do you know, I heard the, the reason why he didn't accept it is because of Herse. He thought about Earth, say, and, and what kind of a owner, That's fine, but like, what did you realize at the 11th hour that you didn't already know before? You know what I mean? Right. That's my problem. And look, and now the, the interim coach with zero experience on the cults beats him. I mean, that's, that's, You gotta think Earth's probably feeling a little bit good about that. Right? Karma's? Karma's a. Oh yeah, I know, I know billionaires like that are pet children, so it's, you know, you know, they all have a little bit of Donald Trump in them, so it's might have done an extra line for for that one. Yeah. Anyway, We'll see. But in any case, man real quick, let's talk about the LA teams to wrap this thing. Chargers and Rams both going down. I think the Rams are probably in a much more dire situation. This was a battle of backups. Colt McCoy versus John Wilford. You remember it? Char you. I'll give you a little. As a football tribute, What was my nickname for John Wilford a couple years back? Wolf of Wall Street. Wolf of Ball Street. Wall Street. That's what it's, that's what it was. But but at Cole McCoy looked pretty good on this one. Leading the Cardinals to a 27 17 victory over the ramps. And then, The Chargers again without Mike Williams. Again, without Keen and Allen, without without the Boa brother. This BOA Bull ended up being just one boa and there and the Chargers following 2216 at San Francisco Chargers at five and four. Still second in AFC West. Any thoughts on either of these LA teams and their losses? Sharp? Yeah. You know, the, the Rams are like, they got their Super Bowl. They mortgaged their future. They, they made a huge mistake letting that offensive line Deteriorat. And it's not, they're paying the piper and then Cooper Cub getting hurt, which is, which is terrible. I, I, I say you just, you know, let Stafford heal and you, and, and by the way next year, I think they have a first round on pick next year. I don't, I don't think so. I don't think, maybe the following year I, I don't know. So I think, yeah, I think by the time I'm 50 you'll have no, no, no. It's, it's coming up in 2023 or 2024. So either way, probably you're right, probably 20, 24. But, but here's, here's the thing though. Detroit. Detroit is very happy about, you know, the Rams downfall. Cause they're gonna get an extremely high draft choice. Oh my God. Yeah. And, and I mean, they're, they're not gonna, they're gonna have a high draft fixed for themselves anyway. So, Detroit's spot. Right. What about, what, what about the what about the Chargers? Man? You know, they were in it. Sort of, I feel like they never had control of this game. And San Francisco. Another nice win for them. Elijah and Michel was healthy for this game. He 18 carries man. 18 carries to McCaffrey's 14. McCaffrey did add four catches for 39 yards. But look, They've got two capable lay making backs over there in San Francisco, and that was really without George Kittle or Deebo Samuel really getting involved. Much Deebo Deebo. Two for 24, Kittle, one for 21. So this team can beat you in a variety of ways. And to me, tough loss of the charger. It's just tough, man. I mean, Tough for me to evaluate this team without those top two targets. Justin Herbert, just 1 96, 1 touchdown, and one pick the usually explosive. Austin Eckler helped at us 24 yards on the ground. Tough game for, For the Chargers and against. Yeah, you can't really judge them on that. You can't. You can't. And get SF team, you knew this wasn't gonna be pretty, I think I still think charters have some brighter days ahead of them. I'm just really hoping at least one of those guys, Mike Williams or Keen and Allen can get back out there, get healthy to help their quarterback out. Yeah, it's look, it's a situation where you're asking, you know, Justin Herbert to play with others, his two top weapons, and then on top of it, Gerald Everett got hurt. And, you know, so it's, you can't, that's, that's a, that's a game that, that you understand why, and then plus you're going against a resurgent San Francisco 49ers seeing who you and I rightfully so thing as the second best. In, in, in the nfc. So that's, that's, that's understandable in, in that situation. Look, San Francisco had almost 40 rushes that game. You know, you had 18 and 14 between the two running backs, and then you had Debo Samuels with couple, and you had, Jimmy I think had couple of runs. So, you know, you had right around 36 38 rushing attempts, which, if you're doing that, you, you're gonna, you know, you're gonna lay waste to any team. So, yeah, I'm not shocked with that. And the Rams, it's just, look. Time, time to pull the plug, you know, Shelf, shelf, Cooper Cup. As much as I hate saying cuz I have cup in two of my fantasy teams, but Shelf Cooper Cup shelf matches Stafford. And, and, and, you know, start bringing in some of these younger players that you have. Sean Mcbe strikes me as the, as the captain who goes down with the ship. I, I think he's gonna get Cooper Cup back out there as soon as he can. Would you, would you do that? Would you risk that kuru if you were not? No, but I think he has too much pride to not do it cuz it's gonna help him win games. Okay. Having, having pride is a different thing than, than bringing out your, you know your best player. Mean, put a meaningless doubt against San Francisco. Got him injured there. I mean, he is, he's proven. He doesn't really care about that. I, we'll see. Maybe he learns lesson now, but it wouldn't shock me if the second he's healthy, he'll put him back out there. Well, maybe the ownership can come and say, Hey, listen, at this point, at this point, At this point you hope so, Char and yeah. And this one we called, it was gonna be the BOA Bowl. They asked Mama, Mama Boa, who she's rooting for. She said, Well, because Nick is in and Joey's out. I'm going for the Niners tonight. And she got her wish so good on San Francisco. They're back in the driver's seat, five and four, just a game back from Seattle in the NFC West. Sure. That's all we got this week. It was a fun week, wasn't it? Ab Absolutely. A lot, lot of great games. And looking forward to talking about next, next week's game or this week's game in two days. Oh yeah, man, it's gonna be good. We'll be back on Thursday to do a little preview. And who's playing Thursday night this week? Did you, do you happen to catch that? Hold on one second. I'll, I'll, I'll pull it for you. It is TNF week 11. Who we looking at? I got it up. I got it up here. All right, good. We're gonna be talking Titans Packers, okay? Okay. And Packers are favorite. Packers are favorite. Coming off that Big W. All right, man. Yeah. Packers are favorite, so, yeah. We'll we'll, you know, we'll, we'll, we'll see what happens. We'll, but one thing I would hope you would learn is in two days when we're gonna start calling games, if we are diametrically opposed to each other, you need to understand that you know who you're talking to, and it is noonish. Hey, listen, I'm, I'm gonna be back guns blazing this week, or I'm gonna pick up for it. You'll see no shame whatsoever. never Right, man. Until next time. Right buddy. Take care.
