Speaker 2:

Hey y'all. I'm Sierra, aka Nicole, the owner of 724 beauty and wellness.

Speaker 1:

Listen, you have been doing your thing for a long time because you wanted to talk to me before this show. I said no, we're not gonna do that. We got you in there. What do you do exactly, cuz? I see you everywhere.

Speaker 2:

So my business consists of you know, it was eyelashes Starting out. Then I went to school and I did Aesthetics so. I finished that I'm a license for my aesthetics, so now I'm doing facials, i'm adding waxing. I think I'm gonna add teeth whitening as well. What else Think I might be? a lashes, facials, waxing, teeth, whitening.

Speaker 1:

Listen, you didn't bought this dude. Listen, you didn't made me get, do say she made me get, do say y'all. So here we are, we're gonna let this go. So What were you doing before? you was like you know what? I want to go ahead, i'm gonna do lashes, i'm gonna do all this. Who you going before that to led you to right here, though?

Speaker 2:

It's so funny because I wasn't doing nothing in this industry Okay no no, let me go back. So, for real, i have a passion for helping people. That's my thing I love having people working in the hospital. So I've been working at hospital for I Don't even know a long time I've been at university for like 10 years. You was a CNA, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Shit. People was falling on you shit, and then all that.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, but say We're gonna go back cuz I work on, leave me in delivery. Okay so I don't have to wipe no booties and all that stuff. Okay, thank God I've been there for 10 years. I love it. That's that's my like escape from okay this world. I like to go to the hospital and work. Sometimes I'm PR and I'm still PR in there. So I work when I want to.

Speaker 2:

So, and then you jump how long you been doing this which one the lash you got Yeah so I'm in Dora Lashes, for I lost count. Now I'll maybe like think this year might be seven years.

Speaker 1:

Oh, so you are veteran now, i think it's been like Seven years Cuz. I know you use that one location.

Speaker 2:

I think I started in 2016. I think I took my first training class in 2016. So were you nervous when you jumped off the porch and said When I took the class I was like I ain't gonna do this for real, in real life, uh it was hard. It was so hard. I was sitting in that class and I was like the girl was teaching me and I'm like practicing on a real person and I'm like This, i ain't gonna do this. I said I just wasted both our time, my money, your time.

Speaker 2:

Right, I'm not gonna do this, but then I'm like I struggled to get them money together.

Speaker 1:

to take this How much was the class?

Speaker 2:

It was a. She actually had a sale. Okay for her birthday. It was in September. Her birthday is in September. Oh yeah, so I think her, I Think the class was 500, i think it was 500 and she was the cheapest.

Speaker 1:

Oh, so that's okay.

Speaker 2:

So it go, it can go up what I think, though, the girl I actually wanted to take the class, while her class like a thousand or like 1200 how many days you gotta do this.

Speaker 1:

So hold on, hold on. So you telling me and it'd be a bunch of people.

Speaker 2:

No, it was just me Oh. So it was like a one-on-one a For some lashes. So that's really what drew me, so I was on, so I was on Instagram. It was only like two girls I was following that did last right. I'm looking like Damn this look good, Like I just like how they look. for the most part, I'm like these look so good And I was like you know what I mean. book me a payment.

Speaker 1:

I'm trying to get the. That's how they talk about.

Speaker 2:

I click the link in the bio. I said $185 Full set. I'm glad I said wait a minute, let me rethink this, cuz I can probably do this. And make me some money, because at that time I was really struggling like. I was fucked up. I was fucked up.

Speaker 1:

You say, fuck, no, i fucked the way.

Speaker 2:

I lost my apartment, my car, like I was why you said the hospital. Yeah, like I was working like three jobs. I had my own place, like me and my daughter, for have broke up. So it's like I put him out, so you know everything was you know how'd that go? So I was like pay everything car payment, car insurance, rent BGE, taking care the kids. That's just a full stamp, so I was buying food like I was struggling. I lost my apartment because I couldn't pay the rent.

Speaker 2:

I was like this This is right, i lost that one big and moved to my mother's got a car accident. I'm telling you God, god be looking out for me, cuz I'm telling you I got a car. Is the person told my car? that was my way out of that car. I was so happy. But I was happy because I was like I'm out of this. I'm like comparing for this car no more.

Speaker 1:

Do you fire like that? once you get jumped off the porch with everything that was happening in your personal life, did the money come quick with lashes?

Speaker 2:

So I I took the class from pretty like the first like three weeks. I didn't jump out there and just like started taking clients. I actually practice like three weeks I practice on my sister I. So I did my sister and my best friend Laysha's like every other day, like I would do my. If you take me like four days to do my sister Laysha's, it took me like four hours to do one, a full set.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you was all more terrible.

Speaker 2:

It was bad, So Excuse me. I Let me say I took a class that time, but I. Didn't get. I got my. I got a sweet straight off the bed. I got my own sweet Sweet. Then November Well, the beginning of December, something like that and I put I just put the lashes on group on. I put them on group on, right, i went in. I went in for my group on and People was booking. Like I was surprised, i was like I don't even know what the hell.

Speaker 1:

I'm doing To you.

Speaker 2:

Made it though and I, and you see where I'm at now.

Speaker 1:

I remember when this last craze took over my God. It was around 2016-18.

Speaker 2:

So when I took the class, it was a few people like doing it by. Like 2017-2018 is when it was like Overkill. It was like overkill Yes, it was like overkill, seems like maybe like I think it was like 2017-2018. It took off and like everybody was doing Laysha's.

Speaker 1:

Man, I'm gonna keep saying it cuz it's important to us guys. I'm cool with the lashes, but what's up with the? you know which ones I'm going with.

Speaker 2:

It's a art, Yeah, I'm saying it's a art and some people got their preference. People like what they like and I don't know how to do that.

Speaker 1:

So the birdie don't know how to do those.

Speaker 2:

So don't bring me no pictures with that, cuz I don't. It's enough for me. I don't know how to do them. I don't know how to make. I don't even know how these girls make them that thick. I think they double up the land. I don't know, cuz I don't, i don't know, i don't know what they do. I'm really trying to figure it out, cuz I'm like, how do they make these laces so full like this?

Speaker 2:

I know that you can do the mega, the mega volume right you use the point threes and make bigger fan, but like I Don't know, What was your worst clients? I don't really have real bad clients. I do have this. I had this one client that she was like Nerves, maybe like a lpn, and she was in school as well. So for like a good Maybe like three to six months She was coming consistently. She will come every like two weeks, two, three weeks. She would get her laces.

Speaker 1:

I can count on this money.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, then out of nowhere, It was like for three months, like three months back to back, for three whole months. She was like oh, i forgot that I had to work today, so I can't come. Or it'll be like oh, i'm was, i'm at work and a patient came, so I can't leave. So it was always an excuse for like three months straight. every time she booked the appointment It was a do you have a cancellation?

Speaker 2:

Thank God so she was send me. She would just send me the hundred dollars when she couldn't come. All right, i can do that, send me that. But then it got to the point where now you interfere with what I got going on, cuz I started picking up time at the hospital because they was getting our bonuses, bonus money. So it was like I'm changing my schedule the hospital to work with you, and then you're still not showing up. So now you got to get blocked, like I just had a blocker, and then I put it in the end It give you like the book and say it give you like a little Little box that you can put in like why? So I put it in there. I ain't heard from since, but that's not really had bad clients.

Speaker 1:

So would you consider yourself now a boss?

Speaker 2:

I do, i feel like I am Because. I have no employees and all that but.

Speaker 1:

Is that what you? is that eventually where you want to go, though, or you like? I'm comfortable Packing in the money.

Speaker 2:

I'm comfortable being by myself. Um, because working with people is just different. Yeah, i've worked with people. I've had a sweet, and I had a sweet with someone. I've actually even had the content creator and it just I, i just read to do it myself. Oh no, i'd be so busy and I really do need to help, but it'd be like you guys separate that boss when they see it from the hustler.

Speaker 1:

You still got that.

Speaker 2:

But it's more so with me. It's like I like, i know what I like and I know how I like my stuff. That's the hardest part, so I just read, to sit down and just do it, instead of me having to keep on our will. Can you change this? I don't like to keep asking people.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, i can just do it, change stuff, because it's like am I getting on your nerves?

Speaker 2:

I like I know that this is your business and stuff, but it's like am I getting on your nerves because I want you to change? it'll be the little stuff like okay, take that out. Can you make that white blue? like every little teeny stuff And I'm like this little stuff I can do.

Speaker 1:

But you had a big little situation pop up your son just graduated high school. Yes, I have a college you, you are my mama. Are you done? I am done. Are you done like you, taking the steps to be done, or you like? I mean I'm done.

Speaker 2:

The steps is done. I Do in E.

Speaker 1:

Are you single?

Speaker 2:

I am single with a friend with a friend.

Speaker 1:

When people say that I want to really ask the woman this What is the rules that you have when you just have a friend?

Speaker 2:

I don't know, like we just do whatever we want relationship, because I don't. I don't have time, i don't be dealing with a whole bunch of people. I don't have time, like I really just don't have time He deal with a bunch of people though.

Speaker 2:

I don't know what he. If he is, i just don't let me find out about it. That's just me. Oh, i mean, if I find out about it, it was, it's a problem, because that means you doing something wrong. I don't want to know about it. If you is like because we're not in a relationship, i just feel like we are, we have Understanding mm-hmm. So as though you don't fuck with nobody else, like that's just.

Speaker 1:

She said, that's just a friend.

Speaker 2:

I just feel like if you got a friend and you building a friendship with somebody, a potential relationship, how can you date a whole bunch of other people? Right, like you're not going cuz you know?

Speaker 1:

somebody gonna fall short somewhere.

Speaker 2:

Be dating him, him and him, and then you trying to really date this one, and this one is gonna be your boyfriend, but you're dating all these other people.

Speaker 1:

It's not do you feel like you got a preference though, cuz I got a question? I got a question. You have a preference type of mean you like. That's here What you like. If I like a dark skin, I do like dog. Okay, oh god Damn, sorry guys.

Speaker 2:

I do, but I mean I'm open to.

Speaker 1:

Don't throw us like.

Speaker 2:

I really my preferences more so, like I like a real man, like a real man that can lead, a man That's like like to go on days and like to have some fun.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna ask maybe like That's patient, cuz I ain't, i ain't got my shit together when people, when women say I want to, i want a man's man, i want a man. What is that?

Speaker 2:

what is what a masculine man?

Speaker 1:

Yes, what is a masculine?

Speaker 2:

man, i might. What ain't no egg like a fuckboy, i guess, i don't know.

Speaker 1:

But do you feel like that makes or it could be with you? do you feel like that Limits your dating pool? because it seemed like once women have kids and they get fucked over enough.

Speaker 2:

Now You are double back the Jimmy that was treating you good this whole time, because I feel like if I left you alone before, i left you alone for a reason. Hmm wasn't doing even something. Wasn't You know someone shaking somewhere?

Speaker 1:

Which you're busy life. Do you even find it hard to do cuz you got your business and everything like that?

Speaker 2:

I do. It's very hard because when I'm available, other people not available when they available. I'm not available and then when I am available, or like when I'm done for the day.

Speaker 1:

I'm tired.

Speaker 2:

I'm like I don't fucking feel like doing nothing. Go to the movies. I'm gonna be sleeping a movie.

Speaker 1:

Please don't do that. I think we need to get up out of that movie culture. Yeah, i would.

Speaker 2:

I'd rather just look at the movies at home, like I'm. I didn't been to the movies to see I haven't saw. I didn't get to see that. I didn't want to see Creed didn't get to see that.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you're terrible.

Speaker 2:

I'm bad. First of all I look at. I'd be looking up the wrong times. I'd be looking at the wrong places I get there and I'd be like, yeah, the movies such as such name. Like you know, we don't have that showing time. I'm like what do you mean? And I'm like, oh, sorry, towson, i'm in a run-of-mill, like with that, with that work for you with a man.

Speaker 1:

That's also busy, though, if he got his own business. Are you cool with that?

Speaker 2:

Yes, and we both is busy, yeah, but Yeah, no, it's just so bad with me I don't even know are you from here?

Speaker 1:

I?

Speaker 2:

am from here.

Speaker 1:

From the city Which it is growing up? Are you gonna leave like you're gonna leave for the business?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Don't tell me you won't go to the top two black spots wait. You already know this.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you're a southern girl because my grandmother live in North Carolina and I really want something with some, some land. Okay cuz I'm like, i'm into my whole holistic health thing.

Speaker 1:

Shit charge of crystals on down for more than like for real.

Speaker 2:

So I want some lands I can grow my own food, because sooner later we ain't gonna handle food to eat, so somebody gonna hit the hey, listen, i'm chickens, looking real beefy right now and I? I don't eat no meat, even what. I don't even I. This is gonna three years.

Speaker 1:

What you mean, why? why you stop?

Speaker 2:

It's bad, it's real bad. And I don't know if you're really one hit it, so I ain't even gonna put it going go in.

Speaker 1:

So wait, where do you eat? so like when you say no me, oh, you like a pescatine, do like.

Speaker 2:

I eat a little bit of seafood.

Speaker 1:

So you, you realize, like no meat.

Speaker 2:

I'm real, I'm no. No, do you get hurry? I eat like one time. I have the discipline myself. I literally eat one time a Day. I can't eat once a day and be fine.

Speaker 1:

You know, uses free now, right, you don't have to you don't you can eat so you're like in the morning and then don't. When do you?

Speaker 2:

eat. I don't eat until like Afternoon, maybe sometimes like five o'clock, like I really can go all day. I can go a whole day and I eat.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, even your metabolism is crazy.

Speaker 2:

It's gotta be crazy because I don't gain weight. I've been a size my whole life Like I've been this size my whole life. So, mama tabalism has to be like all the way up.

Speaker 1:

You got for my fellow. When you tell me off air, you are also a Leo Birthday when 724. Now this is for a bite, and no you. You sitting here telling me you have never had a dinner.

Speaker 2:

I know a birthday dinner, a surprise party, and never had a dinner party but you're about to be how?

Speaker 1:

So you're telling me from you've never had a party.

Speaker 2:

I had birthday parties as a kid, like as an adult.

Speaker 1:

So after like say 19 it stopped.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I gave myself a party. Covid was that 20.

Speaker 1:

I like how you said you gave yourself a party.

Speaker 2:

I always give if I do anything if I'm always giving it to myself like nobody never planned nothing for me. Why unless, unless I was a grown up Mm-hmm, why?

Speaker 1:

are you? do you have like real legit family and friends you're close to? I didn't? how is this even possible?

Speaker 2:

I don't know, it's them. Maybe we should extend. We want to invite them the next time, so you can.

Speaker 1:

So like around your birthday Do you get like lonely and sad and everything like that.

Speaker 2:

I mean, my sister is like this.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

So I Don't got you know, but nobody made her just do stuff cuz her birthday to 27. Oh shit, yeah. So like we'll go to dinner for my birthday and hang out, and then we'll go up for her birthday and hang out And I'm fine with it, and now that I'm, the Asian I am.

Speaker 1:

Lazy, i thought it was me, like I'm just so cool, i was like my sister, like I, like what are you doing for your birthday?

Speaker 2:

I'm like nothing. Like what do you mean? Nothing. I'm like nothing. I'm so tired, i just want to sleep. Just give me a day So I could just sleep a whole day. That's all I wanted.

Speaker 1:

So you feel like you just need to relax. That's your thing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, i don't even if I go out and tell them anything for my birthday this year, i don't even want to go anywhere. It's a party, or?

Speaker 1:

do anything.

Speaker 2:

I can stay in a room if I got a nice view, maybe a beach. I lay out on the beach. What is them little cannibal?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I do something like that and just chill there all day, but I don't have to party, i don't have to do none of that Like I'm so you just cool being by yourself. I ain't got so comfortable being my mother. I thought COVID did this.

Speaker 1:

Have you ever been married? No, with you.

Speaker 2:

Never been married.

Speaker 1:

Don't think I want to be married get what's up with this new age shit, what you mean.

Speaker 2:

What? why do you gotta get married? cuz that's just what people supposed to do, you know.

Speaker 1:

I mean why we?

Speaker 2:

can't be just together. I don't Look how easy it is to get married now. What if it's something don't work? you know how hard it is to get a divorce getting the voice is easy.

Speaker 1:

It's get hard with niggas. One shit.

Speaker 2:

See, no, i don't want nothing, but I don't. I mean, if I get married, it's not a thing like at the top of my list, like I have to be married. I don't.

Speaker 1:

So if that's the case, would you rather Take a married man who gives you, never, tells you, know anything you ever asked for in the world. You get a.

Speaker 2:

Nigerian Murray man. Yeah, I just think I say the post about the Nigerian Murray man.

Speaker 1:

Would you take your own man that tells you know 45% of the time?

Speaker 2:

I take my man. I Mean cuz if you tell me I can do for myself or you could take the man that you have to do nothing but he married, so karma.

Speaker 1:

So if he?

Speaker 2:

wasn't real. I don't fuck with karma, anything that's gonna be a Like a conscious, conscious, something like that. I'm not. I'm not fucking people money. I'm not fucking with no right man, you know.

Speaker 1:

I didn't have that. I had my karma, so I know so you saw some I man before no.

Speaker 2:

Anybody's man. What had happened was I didn't know that the situation was going on. Oh, okay so I didn't steal them. I didn't, but My daughter fall was actually in a relationship when me and him was dealing with each other and I knew nothing about it. I swear I didn't know nothing about it. It wasn't inside. Like I like a message on like Facebook, like you fucked up my family and I'm like wait a minute, i didn't, i did what.

Speaker 1:

I didn't do it. Is this your personality art? now? You always just cool on bubble. Do you have that?

Speaker 2:

Well wait, whoa I'm on now. So I'm always like this, but It takes you how to really do something for me to it's always the Leo's like. We flipped it, we ain't no going back, now we hit and like I have a friend I call a BB, her name's the ever-to-you, and she'd be like I don't know why people be fucking with you because you was not nice like that. I'm like. I am, to a certain extent, like Bullshit.

Speaker 1:

You was on my mother fuck. So we scheduled this y'all about like a maybe. Four weeks out, boom, we rockin and rollin. now I'm busy. Y'all know I'm fucking busy, so I was not at the top of my list. So I see the first message. Hey, just want to confirm. I see I might have blew it off. I ain't gonna lie, he did.

Speaker 2:

but I got back, i got back.

Speaker 1:

She turned up on me. I did not, so motherfucking bad. All I see was you ain't got to play with me.

Speaker 2:

Me.

Speaker 1:

The whole time Right.

Speaker 2:

What happened was I I calm in on a Podcast that he had did one of my legs clients and I was like, yeah, i'm gonna run that back. I gotta come back, because the first time I came I didn't get all my time because I was late. That was my fault, so I was like I was. I was late today too, but that was not my fault.

Speaker 2:

That was the traffic fault. I had a client the last time. That's why I was late, but I was on time for real. I left out And for enough time to get here one time. It wasn't my fault, but any who. So he told me like I was. I sent him the days that I had a bill. He's like let's do the 12. So I already bet let's do the 12, like let me know what's time. I said let's do about five. He's like I'm gonna get the fly together.

Speaker 1:

You can't.

Speaker 2:

First of all, you cannot tell me anything. And then, don't like, i was expecting him to send me the flyer once it was done. I had to post it right away. But I was expecting to, like, you know, get it. See it Like if I like it or if I didn't like it. So he didn't send up as I was like, hey, you know I'm to the flyer, what do you say? Oh no, it's been done. You won't put it on now. No, you won't wait closer to the day. I said oh no, we can wait closer to the day. That's fine. I was just wondering.

Speaker 1:

We had our conversation. I'm out of there.

Speaker 2:

So I was expecting still for the flyer to be sent to me, so that now now we're in June, now This is what June one day that was I sent you.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

This was. I'm at the graduation and I thought about it like wait a minute, today is Thursday And we supposed to do the park heads on Monday and he ain't posted the flyer. So let me say him a message to see if we, you know, still want. So I send them message. He read it and then respond. First of all it says scene. So I feel like you know me, don't just read my dad's message and I said nothing. He's a nothing. So I'm like I'm gonna give him three more minutes. He still ain't saying nothing. So I was. You do not have to ignore me, can you let me know what it is So I know if I need to open my schedule big up for the day or not. That was good.

Speaker 1:

He was the first person that I was big on my ass. I was like but no, real.

Speaker 2:

Lately I've been dealing with a lot of unprofessional businesses and it's bad. What happened?

Speaker 1:

people always This gonna be a different one. I want to know why I'm the only person drinking this. Do say you got my. Integra shots. I was drinking. Oh, you put that in your hand. Okay, i appreciate you. Thank you, okay, no, go back.

Speaker 1:

We gonna hit you with a little, a little commercial break. We got a major sponsor deal. Man Y'all might have seen her man the right therapist came out with her own book. She says she won a book for the kids, man.

I usually do my own head because I just don't be feeling like dealing with people. Okay okay, so For Morgan's event. I went and got my head done So I'm like I'm speaking so I need to make sure my head's on point. You know, so I wanted to try something different. I don't even do.

Speaker 1:

You were speaking.

Speaker 2:

I spoke What you, so, yeah, i wanted to get my head down, so usually I just do weeks.

Speaker 1:

Are you boy? I'm not okay.

Speaker 2:

I just got natural hand. It don't do good with. You know, yeah, it'll be like, but um yeah, so I usually do we, we wigs. I will even make my own wig while I just like bomb already me. But this time I was like you know what? I'm gonna get a weave. I don't do weaves because I'm tended here.

Speaker 2:

So don't don't come with them after this but I was like you know what I booked this girl. She did my hair bow. Maybe like three, four years ago. She did my hair for the first time when I first ever got a frontal. I love my hair and got so many compliments on this. I say, if ever I get another weave I'm gonna her right. She had a sale. First of all, i'm when I do sales. If you don't need like a cold, i kind of give you directions.

Speaker 2:

Yeah when you book. There was no directions. It was just like you know, but the appointment would I was, so I sent the message just to make sure I was Booking right you know people be like right, you don't get to say And it's just that simple. So I wanted to make sure I was looking right. Um, didn't get a response, so I just booked the appointment. I was like, fuck it, i'm a book it, i'm gonna send my deposit and I'm gonna say like I'm just just go from there.

Speaker 2:

So I did that, had to drop the frontal off What was like three days before my appointment my point was on the Saturday. So I was like I was busy all week. So I was like well, let me just bring a pass like Tuesday because I was off on that. So she was like fine, get there. No, i send that text message somewhere like 12, like I'll be there about three to drop it off. I've got a response, so I'm like all right, i'm just gonna go.

Speaker 1:

I'm like you know people be busy.

Speaker 2:

So because I know people text me and I don't respond, be days late and I'm not gonna be that my message I messes with Good.

Speaker 2:

But um, yeah, so she ain't she answers. I just went. I was like, alright, it's three o'clock, whatever, so I'm going. So this is my first time going to this space. I was like you know, i'm looking for X, y, z And they like, oh, i don't think she's here yet. So I was like, alright, cool. So I called her, like hey, you know I'm here to drop off the front. So she like, oh, can you slide under the door? That was the first read, flig. I shoulda shoulda known better. I was like, alright, but I'm like you know, she got my head before, something like about you say that like it wasn't Four fucking years ago, though it was four years ago.

Speaker 2:

You know, people change six months but see I've been doing this for how long and I know change. I'm the same Sierra from the very beginning. Like you, get the same me everywhere, every time.

Speaker 1:

I'm a little wet Anywho.

Speaker 2:

So that was that. So now festival with Saturday One time my point was at 130. I walked into the building about 125 because I'm like I'm a service provider, so I don't like to arrive at my appointment early. Feminist, i went in about 125.

Speaker 2:

She wasn't there. So I'm like the guy was like you can sit on the couch, what I've been waiting for. So, my cool, she text me at 133 like are you here? What do you mean? my hair? Yes, i'm here. I've been here for a while, but okay, so she come in maybe about 10 minutes later. No real greeting. I'm sitting on the couch Just like this. She just hey, welcome by, not hey, sorry, i'm late.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

Hey, sorry I'm late. You could come with me. She left nothing, just hey, and went on and I'm like, so should I get up, should I not? I just got up and followed her, so I'm sitting in there. So then she just like start like no welcoming, like I didn't feel welcomed at all. So I'm like, hey, maybe she don't remember who I am. I was just like, hey, i was like you remember me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, i was like That's a setup, when somebody say hey you remember me. That's just to see if we want the same page.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so you do remember me, so you just want me, just. Here being weird Oh yeah, so we in service, you get to break my head, blah, blah, right before she was getting ready. So the head and she stopped was like I had a run to the store. I Don't have any three.

Speaker 1:

You knew this was a weave, though.

Speaker 2:

That's all you do is weaves though.

Speaker 1:

So you know you need three.

Speaker 2:

So this is what you do. Why are you not prepared? What Like? why don't you have like ample amounts of thread, just like seeing around? because this is what you do. You do weaves you do weaves, wigs, frontals, fucking. You do that. That's what you do. She left. She was gone for about 45 minutes to an hour. You know what time I left from out of here and it was that 125. I left out of there after 630.

Speaker 1:

Did you? I always say this when I'm gonna say my lady, cuz you know, niggas, we lessen it. So you know you, my lady so why is it, when y'all go to like get your hair done on nails and they fuck up or something you don't like, y'all just be like huh, okay and leave. Y'all don't correct it. Right then? and then did you check?

Speaker 2:

her out. I know I didn't, i didn't.

Speaker 1:

Why do y'all do this? I?

Speaker 2:

didn't, because I just be feeling like, at the end of the day, you know, like you know that this is wrong, like you know that this is fucking wrong. You know this, you know it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Cuz, if that's just like somebody coming to me to get lesions and I be like, oh, i'm sorry, i'm got no glue, that's like a main thing that you need for your service. Oh, i went on more tweezers, sorry. Like I cannot have something like what and I can't just leave and go to the store and get like, my shit gotta get ordered and gotta get shipped, so it's not. It's very rare that I can like go somewhere and buy the things that I need it maybe glue and like lashes, but the other little accessories, i can't do that.

Speaker 2:

So I just be feeling like when you a service provider, you should have everything. Like you know you got an appointment tomorrow. If you don't have something you know, like you just know but was that, do you feel like? that turns people off business entirely. Yeah, i'm not gonna be, because I'm not gonna lie so we not talented?

Speaker 1:

a lot of us are we are very talented it is the professional part, because it's different. I'm fucking with my cousin. I can right right.

Speaker 2:

I can't do that with everybody even when I do family and stuff, i still conduct it as a business. Okay, your appointment is at 10 o'clock, you gotta be at 10 o'clock, 10 15. You cancel, like I don't care, like I don't play by my time, i don't. So I don't care who it is coming family, friend, whatever, like you get the same as a regular client because this is the business, it's not personal and you can separate to.

Speaker 1:

I can't there's most everything you do doesn't go through a black person your hair, your lashes, your nails every everything.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, i mean where I buy my hair from is not a black company, but it's. Yeah, it looked nice thank you, i did this one myself. West kids, here I'm an ambassador.

Speaker 1:

Click the link in bio you said you've been practicing this last year for, damn it, seven years. Yeah, alright, so sorry for my whites. Her name's Karen. She wants to know real specific what kind of adhesive do you use for lashes?

Speaker 2:

so I use like the brain mm-hmm. So this is my brain glue that I'm gonna start selling oh wait a minute, just do that my brain. My brain is cool. It's called liquid gold what made you?

Speaker 1:

you sponsored this and you got your own brand. Like you said, is it hard when you first start out to learn the marketing of doing all of this? yes, i'm still learning do you reach out for help when you go for it and see what happens?

Speaker 2:

I used to reach out for help. People be weird with that.

Speaker 1:

It's very weird because it'd be like people want money.

Speaker 2:

It'd be like, but it'd be like, i get it. I get it because, like you can't just be a me like certain things I will respond to because I'm just not like that. But it's not even all about the money for me, but I get it. But little things. That I'd be asking is like oh, what app did you use to make this fly?

Speaker 1:

oh, we said we should have.

Speaker 2:

You did it and we all it is yeah, like a little, a little like oh, how did you do that? like this one girl has sent her a message one day because she had a video and like the start of the video, if she had like the lines, it was like some lines and some words and more lines, and I'm like how did you do this? do you know? she brought my message and never responded. I was like, hey, like I just wanted to know, did you use that app? like what did you use?

Speaker 1:

simple way do you notice? with that? I would say this, which right now would you even say some person said they don't consider their business small. Would you consider yourself, your small business owner? use our business after like I'm a small business do you find it that some people don't fuck with you a lot and such? if you don't know if, like social media, they go off your numbers? your response time kind of depends on if you're a popping person or not people gotta understand this.

Speaker 2:

Those numbers on Instagram does not matter, like you heard feelings, they don't matter it's what the reality like.

Speaker 2:

First of all lost my Instagram, my original Instagram. I lost it maybe last year, the beginning of last year, oh, what's it this year, can't remember. Maybe the beginning of this year, beginning late. She won up to two and my Instagram. Now I can say this when I lost my Instagram, my business did go down. It did my a lot. I'll. I oh that's the ground hurt my heart with that one because I had just I had paid, i had spent money on this Instagram to like, get it how I wanted it did what you mean.

Speaker 1:

You say you spent money, would you be?

Speaker 2:

like I had some. I create content oh, i had weekly content being created oh, you do this yeah, i was like, really like in it to win it and I really had my Instagram to a point where I was getting the engagements that I've been looking for oh, ain't a good one and then it shut the fuck down.

Speaker 1:

I was you have two Instagrams right now. You know that right.

Speaker 2:

I do I know, but the the business page is gone, then the the original business page is gone. I had that page for like five years so I had it built up perfect, like I had the engagements, i had stuff in my DM, i was supposed to been working with people and it just all just went away.

Speaker 1:

I'm a, i'm a, i'm a slightly hit you a little bit.

Speaker 2:

So you said that the numbers are yeah, it's not a public though that's because they don't know, because I mean a person on Instagram. They could be getting a lot of engagements and a lot of likes and stuff, but is they getting? is those engagements and stuff?

Speaker 1:

if it's not getting you money, all right, it's that's what I mean by the numbers it doesn't matter, because I know people on there.

Speaker 2:

They get thousands of likes but business ain't doing shit business is right, so it's like that doesn't mean what would be your, your row or someone's one?

Speaker 1:

the last market. You would know this.

Speaker 2:

The last market, the hair market is over saturated but it's a lot of people that don't know what the fuck they doing. Just a lot of people that don't know what they doing when it comes to all of it laces braids nails all that mm-hmm but lashes so many, so many stories out here. It's so bad and I just be like at the end of that, a lot of people with self-taught I can't knock people that self-taught they're going YouTube and look at videos and feel like they've been educated but they is fucking people.

Speaker 2:

It's like I get so many clients that come to me from other lash techs and it's like what happened and you lay down let them still do your lashes. Like what? like some of the shit that I heard. Like one girl said that the lady put the damn glue lash glue in a microwave what?

Speaker 1:

what are we doing? but for people that don't know?

Speaker 2:

they don't know that's why they need to take a class, is? they don't know? so how do you branch out, or how?

Speaker 1:

do you like when you say you lost your page? how do you branch out and make yourself stand out in a market that's already saturated?

Speaker 2:

so I'm old, i do old school, i talk to people. I don't just use.

Speaker 1:

No, please talk to people.

Speaker 2:

I go out and I actually like talk to people. I'm in the mall. I told me hey, how you doing? can I give you a flyer? I do eyelash extensions, i do facials or whatever, whatever.

Speaker 2:

And I built a rapport with them right there, like people can come on Instagram and be on Instagram and see a page. But like I look at some people page and I was like I don't know if I'm gonna go to her because she's saying like she boozy, like just cuz I don't know. You know I'm saying so I like to actually really talk to people so they can get to know me and my energy. I got the energy like I draw people into me.

Speaker 1:

So I was that you're speaking a lot, y'all gonna catch the next ad, but we're at complex. Yeah, i was gonna let him finish it. Content complex, like what you were just saying. There are a lot of people underestimate the simple thing of networking but people, also a lot of the newer people, no, younger people not new.

Speaker 2:

Yes, i'm gonna say the younger people they not used to that social media is like that's. All I got to do is post on social media and that's gonna bring me clients but, people gotta know everybody don't follow you on social right. I don't know you on social media, so they don't know you. How they're gonna ever find you on social media? you gotta go out and talk to people if people fly, is you gotta talk to people?

Speaker 1:

you gotta get no one talks about the back to the network thing.

Speaker 2:

No one talks about starting a business at first, how expensive, what starting is after that, listen, if you can get business credit and business money the money for your business it's expensive listen, i'm just learning about this whole business loan business credit and all this yes, i'm working on getting business credit. I've been funding my business out of my own pocket since I've been doing how much money you think you funneled in this what I don't even know.

Speaker 2:

I don't even want to think about it, i don't. I know I spent. I spent a lot of money give us a number.

Speaker 1:

You had a ball pocket to start. A bit start your lashes.

Speaker 2:

And you can probably start with the basics. You can start a business. You can start a leach business less than $5,000. I Had less than $5,000 when I started my business. Cuz for real, the last supplies is not expensive.

Speaker 1:

What's the expensive part?

Speaker 2:

If you're trying to buy a bulk of it, that's where it gets expensive. So independent on where you getting your supplies from, see.

Speaker 1:

I have coke on the street, Yeah yeah, so I Go to I have you about to put out your plug right now? I'm not okay.

Speaker 2:

I deal with and I don't spend Over like $8 for a leash trees. People sell a straights for like $20, so people will go and buy a whole bunch of legs trace from these girls that selling legs trees and that's where it gets Expensive, or the glue is $53 glue glue up five ounce five and I was bottles, bottle glue.

Speaker 2:

I paid. The most I paid is like $70 for fucking small bottles. Yes, but if you find a good plug and you find somebody that you actually like that supplies, rock with them. I'm telling you you're gonna make a whole bunch of better, definitely gonna make out.

Speaker 1:

From what I've seen if we're gonna direct this to you I Have seen your work ethic never fucking stop a lot of people don't know.

Speaker 1:

I stopped podcasting for maybe Mmm I want to say four or five months. I was like fuck this, fuck it is expensive, fuck It's time consuming. Before I met Chas and, you know, got the connections with him. As y'all can see, the The production is different now. Before I made that. It is a lot of time consuming, but through all that I still went on a page. You know, i still checked out, cuz I'm not gonna lie and say I Still don't have a competitive edge. I still check the market. Like oh, i'm not even bothered me I've never said this online, i'm never gonna say who the person is, but it bothered me to see people that were in my field in the DMV in Baltimore That I felt as though they were getting better.

Speaker 2:

Because I know like I don't even call myself the goat, but I know I'm a go like fuck all of what you saying. Like my last, my lashes, last, like that's, that's the main thing. Like my retention for my lashes is fucking awesome.

Speaker 1:

But you've never stopped. I've watched you for my time not doing podcasting. You have constantly, always been working. I have seen you at events. I see pop-up in random photo shoes. I'm gonna have a fuck why she even here. But you have always and that was the power network You have. You know you do the last shit and that's your thing, but you go to different events, yes, and you make yourself known.

Speaker 2:

Actually want to do my own events, i go to other events. Hmm this is kind of like get a feel of what's going on, like highs, mm-hmm put together and everything like that, because I I've been wanting to have an event for like three, four years now And I just never what type of event you trying to do. So I'm working on it, my own t-line. So I'm trying to come up with my own herbal tea line.

Speaker 1:

So when y'all first started this, she said you last got about the tea line. You want to. You want to start the waxing game. And what was up on teeth? white teeth, whitening in that white tea.

Speaker 2:

So I'm? I told you I've been on my health. Yes, i've really been into herbs. Hmm, it's good for your body. I can't it's really good for us and a lot of us don't know about it. So I really want to get some herbal herbal teas. The hell with like like we all be like. A lot of us go through depression and anxiety, so I want to have like teas to help with that. So you don't have to take actual medicine, because medicine just make more shit, she talking about shit.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so, like medicine, just make the shit worse and don't fix the problem.

Speaker 1:

It's not a long term.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I really want to come up with, like some different herbal teas to help people in their daily.

Speaker 1:

Then they leave you were talking about you know cuz I know they got to calm in teas and everything like that And you were talking about, like the mental health thing, what, right now, What trauma are you still dealing with?

Speaker 2:

I Still be depressed. I still. I still am my depressed days. I actually look. That's so crazy because Not too long ago Man effect After my son prom. So my son father was killed when he was two so so And like back when it first happened, i used to dream about him all the time.

Speaker 2:

But he will come to my dreams all the time. So for like this has been, he been gone for about 16 years now. So maybe like The first two, three years I would dream about him and after that I haven't dreamed about him in years. And like my son just went to prom and then he went to farewell And I dreamed about him at the prom and farewell and it actually put me in the sad, depressed state because I'm like The dreams be feeling so real. And then I got to wake up to reality that he's not here. Like I literally, you know, i had a dream that this man I don't know, i guess he must have been like Gone away like the jail or something like that, and he like just came back. And when he came back I'm sitting there like in my dream, like literally I'm waking up out of the dream. But in the dream I'm like I don't know how I'm gonna tell my friend that I ain't gonna be the mess I have no more because my silence is back.

Speaker 2:

Hey, in the dream this is what I'm thinking, but when I woke up, i'm really like in my head like damn, i'm great. Tell this guy that I had to like really like snap out of it like Nahia, like you do not gotta do that. So it did put me in a very sad space, like I was that it sounds like what you were just saying.

Speaker 1:

That was love of your life.

Speaker 2:

It was yeah, and we met and I was in middle school. Middle school, yeah, the old way to. I had Buddha. After my 12th grade, i went leaving the day after graduation.

Speaker 1:

Do you feel so with that, that Everybody eventually, at some point is gonna find that one person And I'm not gonna lie, say I don't have that like, oh, you were my everything, you were that person. Do you feel like, with that unfortunate situation, did you try to chase that feeling that he gave you through somebody else?

Speaker 2:

You feel like that's why you're, you're comfortable now and like being single, because you know exactly, i didn't, i did not, i did not give myself no time like he died and I was right then with my daughter, father, because he was already in my life, so it was like he just He felt that boy and, yeah, he felt that boy. So it was more so like I Didn't get myself time to actually grief, i didn't get myself time to go through what I needed to go through, so I didn't. I didn't actually go through What I needed to go through and heal and tell 2020.

Speaker 1:

I can say I relate to that because my personal thing with my situation happened. Um, I Think I've jumped relationship relationship I net once that situation happened with the wife and that died out Mm-hmm to make myself feel better. I'm a chasing of a high like a crack kid.

Speaker 2:

The thing is, that's why nobody never stay, really staying together like or nothing never really be real Because we never give ourselves time to heal even the men. Like the men they'll be already in another relationship before they leave the relationship that they actually are in. That's having a problem. So You gotta get yourself time. Like I'm really like real shit, like.

Speaker 1:

I don't like being alone.

Speaker 2:

You gotta learn how to go and I thought that that's how I was to. But I'm telling you, when shit shut down for COVID, that shit made me realize I was literally home alone, like I was home. The kids was gone, they was in the city and my mother's I was home alone and I was so depressed. I was like I ain't gonna survive in this house By myself. I can't. I ain't gonna be able to do this and they were if it wasn't for my uncle. My uncle helped me. My uncle helped me a lot.

Speaker 2:

I was telling him what I was going through and he just was like I start paying attention to your mind, meditate, and I'm like I can't, i don't know how to meditate. And he just was like telling me what to do. And I really got into meditate and started understanding my mind And I'd be like my focus a becoming come on, you're staying tonight. I'm not going home. Like I'm so Comfortable with being by myself. It's like I go out to eat, i do everything by myself. Like I won't even call people, like we'll call me if you want to.

Speaker 1:

Failing when you get comfortable being with you.

Speaker 2:

I'm so like I go. I will go out and buy myself some flowers. Mm-hmm and go out on a date. Just go sit at a bar and have a drink and get me some food. I did yesterday. I went to my spot, morgan, and them put me on with Michaels cafe. I white marching, my shit. I go there. I will sit at the ball, give me a drink, get some food and just be by myself.

Speaker 1:

So with that, you taught you how to love you, mmm.

Speaker 2:

I had to, i was I really so in 2019? The guy that I said is my friend. That's not my, my boyfriend for my friend, i Don't even talk about this, but he, he, gatsam, i pregnant.

Speaker 1:

Mmm.

Speaker 2:

She know me, that's my pregnant and And that shit Fuck me up so bad that it made everything that I never dealt with just came Back to surface. That's why I'm like I never dealt with like my son for a dime and all that. It wasn't until 2020 when I had to actually sit the fuck down. I dealt with that stuff like I had to get a therapist. Like I was having dreams that I killed a girl With my bare hands and it felt real like I will wake up from the dream. Like I felt like I actually did it and I was like I gotta go get some help because I don't know what might happen. Like I really had to go get some help because I was like I don't want to feel like this. I'm also like that, no more. So I got me a therapist.

Speaker 2:

It ain't last long, but the most for real, the derp is didn't last long. Like she was an older lady. She helped me but I don't think she knew how to really deal with what I was. But she was used to dealing with older people. That was married.

Speaker 1:

Yeah cuz.

Speaker 2:

A lot of stuff she was giving me was for married couples, but it helped. It did help, and Just one time she Had to reschedule one of my appointments and I never was able to get back in with her, so I just started doing shit on my own. So that's what I mean. I actually do want another therapist, though, because it it feels good to just talk to somebody and not have nobody judge. You Just lay it out like look man, this is everything that I'm going to cry. You can do whatever you want to do in front of her and she won't help you. She can't judge, you, can't talk about you.

Speaker 1:

Who's your? it might be uncle, might not be nobody. Who is your go-to when you're feeling sad? the person. Will you keep that to you and you deal with that by yourself.

Speaker 2:

For the most part.

Speaker 1:

How are you doing it?

Speaker 2:

I thought to myself. I thought to myself a lot And I got journals. I write, i do a lot of writing. But sometimes I might talk to my uncle, but for the most part Cuz everybody won't do stuff and I'd be like I don't want to put my shit on nobody else and they go through what they.

Speaker 1:

Do you feel like that feeling that you felt about being alone when the COVID situation happened? Your son's about to go off and do his own thing, be his own person When your last child leaves?

Speaker 2:

you think I'm not gonna be sad.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, No.

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna be happy, i'm ready for them to go, both of them, it's like no, i've heard they feel sad. I don't know, and I ain't I ain't there yet, so I don't know how I'm gonna feel. But I don't think they're going to wait, for, like my son, he ain't going out of the house, he ain't going away to college because he don't know what he actually really wants to do in our space?

Speaker 1:

We don't know.

Speaker 2:

We are, so he's gonna go to CCBC. So he's gonna still be home for a while.

Speaker 1:

This will work when you have kids and you know you get a friend or whatever. Do you let your kids meet them now, at this age, or how do you?

Speaker 2:

navigate this, I think at This age. I think that I would introduce them sooner.

Speaker 1:

Mmm. Cuz I order so The problem?

Speaker 2:

we had a problem, my guy. It was the issue with the kid. Well, not even a kid's my son, it's my son, you know, you know.

Speaker 1:

My son a certain age.

Speaker 2:

nigga, Fuck you Yeah it was kind of not on the fuck you type of simple tip, but yeah, it was kind of like it was bad, and I think I probably should have introduced Them to him before I did be, way before I did. It was years in before. Yeah, cuz I already know how my kid, my kids, years. It was like at least a year and they.

Speaker 2:

But they knew like they knew yeah, they have been around, but like not like around, around, like that. Yeah, i regret that, though, because I I think I should have Introduced them way sooner than I did so you are you open today in man with kids? Long, as long as he got his shit together.

Speaker 1:

How soon do you want to meet the kids? I?

Speaker 2:

Mean as soon as he won me. I don't push that like same same. I'm not, i ain't gonna push it. It is what it is, especially if it's like a Smaller kid.

Speaker 1:

I get it.

Speaker 2:

But if they hold, i mean like why not like what's the problem? Like why, why? why six months in a major kid? Yeah, like if they hold them, but if they small.

Speaker 1:

What's next for you? because you have everything going on. Do you feel like right now of losing the page, doing all these businesses that you're? you got a groove now. You moving. Now What's next?

Speaker 2:

I'm So. I'm on it. I'm on the fence.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

I finished all my pre-rex for nursing. Oh, my pre-rex is done, but I feel like I got the passion for nursing the more, just cuz I don't like how they doing. you know, working I'm in the field, so I kind of still got my hands in.

Speaker 1:

I just don't see it.

Speaker 2:

They ain't doing nurses right. I don't like how they doing them, and if you ain't a traveling nurse, you ain't making no money.

Speaker 1:

I mean the whole. Don't do that nurses make money Versus nurse money.

Speaker 2:

If you've been doing it for a long, just straight out of school. Now come straight out of school, mm-hmm, and see me, because I'm used to making what I make like, listen, i literally last month I worked Four time hours at the hospital, so I did like three days. Some weeks I did four days. I only did like ten. I didn't do 12 hours, i did ten hours. I Got my check the other day. I'm gonna take my name off the schedule for the rest of this month. I refuse. I refuse like. I rather do what I do, what I made in those two weeks and all them days I work. I Could have made in two days. Yeah, it's not jumping like that, but I mean I got consistent clients that I'm comfortable. I can always make more money, but I'm comfortable.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so you get, so business and everything, you're okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, i can work at the hospital once a month if I felt I mean I still have an obligation. Yeah, i think I do. I don't even know what my obligation is at the hospital PR But I always just work at least like twice out of the month, just because I don't know my obligations.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, What would the young Sierra in high school, when you know the Marcella situation happened, if that woman, that girl, could talk to who she became, which is right now you, what would she say?

Speaker 2:

Girl what she would say. No, she would be proud of me because I didn't definitely overcame some obstacles. Definitely Would be surprised that I'm doing what I'm doing because I don't think in high school I wasn't really. I Was always into fashion. So, like I used to model as a kid, i was always in fashion. So My youngest self probably would have thought I was gonna be a model or some shit, not doing this. But I like to boost people confidence and make women feel good, so she would be proud of me.

Speaker 1:

She would be proud. Yeah, but you do that. You in this first started you was like you Are in the service business, because you like to help and make you feel good. Now you were talking about the nursing thing so nursing or Mortuary science? You wouldn't have got. First of all, nurses are smart. People who are in mortuary science are smart as fuck. Running a business you have to be. You would not get that level of How multi-layered that you really are until someone talks to you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, people be always saying like, see, ever you really need to just start like talking more your insomware. I'm like you need to tell people like the stuff that you've done and things you've been through, because people would really like love to hear And I'd be like, because I don't be feeling like people will hear that shit which you have told me from when I met you like a year and a half ago, that woman to the woman you are now.

Speaker 1:

You have opened up So much and your story is so amazing That I understand that you have parts that you keep you know to yourself.

Speaker 2:

But from what you have shared you have a dope story From the Marcellus thing to having to raise two kids, to COVID to start in the business, out of fucking nowhere That's exceeding and like and it's so crazy, there's nobody in my family Business like my cousin used to do hair and like that was her business, but like, far as like, nobody has a business. So I've really been learning as I go. Like I'm learning, i've been learned. I learn a lot from. I do learn a lot off of social media. Tic-tac, tic-tac. Listen, stop using Tic-Tac to make dances, fucking. Use Tic-Tac for educational purposes, because Tic-Tac Definitely will teach you.

Speaker 2:

Listen, i learned outside of just like business and stuff. I learned a lot about life On Tic-Tac like a whole lot about life. I'd be like what I never knew that. I'd be so amazed of the shit that I'd be learning on Tic-Tac.

Speaker 1:

It's so crazy, you're open to learning though I'm. very well, you're not shut off. Oh, i'm doing my way.

Speaker 2:

I literally just booked a class to take another Lash class.

Speaker 1:

You always learn, Yes but she canceled it.

Speaker 2:

It was um May, may the 20, 21st I was supposed to second infili but only two people signed up, so she had canceled it. I was like, hey, but yeah, i'm definitely always down. I've been buying e-books for people. I'm always definitely. I'm always down to learn something.

Speaker 1:

When you said earlier That you had your little, you got a friend.

Speaker 2:

No, do you.

Speaker 1:

Shoot your shot at men. I.

Speaker 2:

Never shoot my shot.

Speaker 1:

So men shoot a shot at you.

Speaker 2:

Don't know why she did shot. They mean I Swear people, i don't know people intimidated by me, what? but no, like nobody being my DM Shootin shots for real Oh. God. No, i mean, every now and then I might get a little hot out something like that. But I don't know people. I think people's intimate.

Speaker 1:

What is the best way to approach you? Just approach me. I'm a DM for the guys out here. They want to know the proper etiquette before you are in general, what is the proper etiquette Just?

Speaker 2:

don't come in there. I'm on some weird, no weird shit. Like They're gentlemen, like how you doing Hello, like speak. Don't just come in like damn you look good. Like that's the no, that's what a kid's like we grown women will be. Like you gotta come, correct. Like don't come. I don't know how you come, but don't come like that. Damn you look good.

Speaker 1:

What I know, thank you and that's all you're gonna really to thank you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, right, like I don't even know. I don't even know, but just be respectful and, like, mindful of who you like. You got to know the type of person that you're going into the DM. So you can, certain people you can go and like damn, you look good and they go.

Speaker 1:

Insane by it.

Speaker 2:

But then they go work for everybody. You just know how to come well, listen. I'd be a gentleman. I don't know if men know how to be gentlemen's anymore.

Speaker 1:

I Don't know, fuck out of here. I'm just in this show, well, fuck out of here, wait a minute. So You make it seem like Do you like hood rough niggas?

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna meet you there, like we can meet there. You leave first, i'll leave at the right, you know cuz I love my life. I.

Speaker 1:

You have built a Beautiful life. I would like to say I Personally, like I said, i've watched your journey. I don't comment, i just watch, and I noted that I Am extremely Proud of you. Thank you, you have done so well. You continue to, like you were saying before you got here that your business had to move. But even through that verse he was losing your house, the car situation, the death, the family, the depression all of that. You have always Maintained some innate ability to pop back, always.

Speaker 2:

And what is this thing? when I say, um Take, i always be having a little sand and I can't never remember it Um. It's not about how you fall is how you get back up.

Speaker 1:

That's not exactly what it is, but that's basically what it is fire, that's like you should always be.

Speaker 2:

If you can't bounce back, then like you, ain't no hustler. Like you gotta know how to bounce back you can be, it's gonna happen.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it'd be at zero. Like it's been to the point where I'm in like you know what, i Ain't doing this no more. Like I've really had days where I'm like I'm not doing this, just no more. Business slow, i'm not to just go back to work. But then I start thinking about the freedom like I'm so comfortable with the flexibility that I have, i Can't go back to work. That's why I'm like I don't even know how I'm gonna finish school, because how am I gonna go back to work full-time like even finished?

Speaker 1:

you have. You did something that not a lot of people do.

Speaker 2:

You're passionate about what you do anything I put my name on I'm passionate about. I've done a whole lot of different businesses. I just never stuck with them. But anything that I do, i put my all into it. I don't care what fuck what it is, i put my all into it and it blossoms. Like I always, like I don't care what it is, i'm like I'm gonna put my all in it. I'm doing something with some I I'm really won't. I'm putting my all, like, all, like all, with all capital letters.

Speaker 1:

You are an entrepreneur. It is a difference to. Everybody likes it to say I'm entrepreneur, but have you lost money over?

Speaker 2:

this Have you not paid bills? Yeah, over this.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you sleep Yes it's been real.

Speaker 2:

I'm like how the hell am I border products? I ain't got no money. I gotta figure out. Am I gonna pay this bill and I can get products? I'm like I, should I get products, I'm gonna make the money to pay the bill.

Speaker 1:

That's when you know your entrepreneur, when you pick the business and say I'm gonna figure something out for my life.

Speaker 2:

Shit, i'm gonna be there and Since, since the world has this went um. What is this? and was the inflation? It'd be a lot of times I'd be like what the fuck? I'm a dear. That's why I'm like I need some business from credit. I need business credit because I Don't want to keep on hitting to do that All right.

Speaker 2:

What am I doing? What I'm doing? everything get paid, everything is paid. But it's like, all right, am I paying this one today, but it's like it just be. You gotta figure it out. But one thing I can say as long as the business has products, i'm gonna make the money.
