27. From Small to Mighty: The success of Liz Dawes & RCD Foundation
Show Notes

Paediatric brain cancer is the number one disease killer of young people. When Liz Dawes’s son Robert ‘Connor’ Dawes passed away in 2013 from brain cancer at the age of just 18, she was moved to create the RCD Foundation to tackle the awful disease.

In this episode, Bianca chat to Liz about the journey of losing her son, how the organisation went from being small and volunteer-run, to raising millions of dollars to tackle paediatric brain cancer and how they reinvented fundraising events in a COVID-19 world.

Liz was nominated for Australian of the Year in 2017, and is an inspiring speaker and visionary leader.
