In this dialogue/conversation, Crito tries unsuccessfully to persuade Socrates to escape from prison after he was sentenced to die, but Socrates insists on obeying the law, a wrong can never be justified, a citizen must uphold the law. One must not even do wrong when one is wronged. " One must "not just live, but live well."
