Okay. Hi guys. So we are back. So we discussed HydraFacial awhile ago, but there were quite a few more questions. So we feel that we just wanted to come back and just answer a few more questions for you about HydraFacial. So here we are. It's myself and my lovely Lytsa. What's up guys, we're back. Finally. Yes. To give you the second part of the Hydrafacial. Absolutely. So let's jump straight in. Shall we? So if we pick up where we left off, so basically people would like to know what should you not do after a HydraFacial? Okay. So in terms of do's and don'ts, um, my absolute one would definitely be, do not use any acids or even like derma cosmetics that has acid in it especially salicylic or even retinol the day before your treatment, or even the week before the treatment. And also don't use a scrub, bleaching or like razors or laser hair removal, anything that would make her skin sensitive by any chance, because with HydraFacial we do use chemical peels, even though they're mild, very, very mild is too. If you have like sensitive skin, it can be a little bit, it can leave extra sensitive. Yeah. I think with anything like, you know, you were saying with the fact that we do use serums that even though they're very, very mild chemical peels and that the end of the day, they are still chemical peels and they are acids. So afterwards, like, you know, like you were saying, definitely don't do anything with your, any alpha hydroxy acids or salicylic or retinols or anything like that for, I would probably say at least a week, and definitely not go sort of out in the sun guys, when we say, don't go out in the sun, we're not talking about, you know, you walk outside cave. It's not like you have to sort of like run from the, from, from the sun into the house. You know, when we say, stay out of the sun, that's the case of, if you know, you're going to be outdoors for a long period of time, you need to make sure that you're wearing your sunblock, you know? And if it's going to be for hours on end to make sure you wear a hat, it's just because the chemical peels and things that we use, they can sensitize the skin slightly, which means that when you go into the sun, your skin, your skin is more susceptible to the sun and pigmentations. And also because, with HydraFacial we removed the first layer of the skin, we remove all the dead cells. So, it's not that we remove the protection, but we do leave the skin smoother and it's easier to get the UV red light, yeah? The UV light through the skin, it's it doesn't sort of like block it. So if you have hormonal pigmentation or like you're susceptible to have pigmentation marks so you can develop even more hyperpigmentation. So I think that's the main concern the pigmentation. Yeah. But apart from that, to be honest with you, HydraFacials, it's just a nice, deep cleansing, mild facial. So there's not really too much afterwards that you have to worry about it. I honestly think the most important things is the sun. So no sunbeds as well. And just being careful of your retinols and alpha hydroxy acids at home. So let's have a look at what else we have, how long does a HydraFacial last? So that question to me could be two parts in terms of how long is the treatment and how long do the effects last? Yep. So I would say if we look at the first part, how long does the treatment last obviously depends where you go. Some people are different, but generally your HydraFacials are an hour long. Yeah, we booked for one hour. For me, the part that takes longer and a HydraFacial is of course the black head removal. I swear, depends like how congested is the skin, if we're going to need to, if the client wants to do an add on, of manual extractions, we're going to get to the part later on about blackheads and whiteheads and how deep canHydraFacial go to remove them. But yeah, the part that takes longest is definitely the extraction. So usually we book for one hour, but if the client's skin is pretty clear and not that congested like roughly sometimes we can finish like in 45. Yeah 45 minutes minimum an hour, probably I wouldn't say max, but you know, between 45 minutes and an hour, I would say, yeah, perfect. If we then talk about how long the effect lasts and it's definitely better than just a normal standard facial. So your results are definitely going to last longer. I would probably say your HydraFacial effects probably last what two or three weeks. Two or Three weeks, they always say the downtime should be at least a two to four weeks or in overall just get once a month for maintenance, because of course the oil is going to come back and also that the new blackheads will start to build up on the pores again. So one month should be fine towards deep cleansing, but of course, if you're doing it regularly, if you have a course and if we increase the peels percentage, you're actually treating the skin. So you're going to need less. Like we can increase that gap as well. It can be every six weeks. Yeah. So generally I would say after having a facial, the results will, will last between two to three weeks because it's a lot more involved than just a normal facial. We definitely take off more layers of dead skin cells. We're using the chemical peels that we've, you've got the hyaluronic acid booster. So that actually, you know, the serum penetrates a lot deeper into the skin. So the results will definitely last longer than a normal standard facial that you go and have at sort of, you know, some of the normal beauty salons. Yeah. Because usually like the normal patients, when we do like a more relaxing one, uh, anything apart HydraFacial is not as not treating your skin. But if it's just for relaxation is mainly the creams that gives you the glow, the creams you like gives you the dewy glowy skin, but with hydrafacial, you can feel it, your skin fresh. It's amazing how you feel it like from inside out, you leave the bed, we finished the treatment, you are completely dry. And my client says that they still feel as if there was water, cold water onto their skins and they are completely glowy. And it's not because of the moisturizer, it's the facial, the combination of the serum. So it's actually treating your skin from inside out. Yeah. So that's kind of actually leads into one of the other questions. We've kind of answered it slightly, is a hydrafacial better than a regular facial. Oh yeah. Sorry. I forgot.[inaudible]. Sorry. Very technical guys. To be, we try to be as in-depth as possible, then we kind of go a little bit more and then sort of like, forget that, you know, there's more questions to come. Yeah. No, but I agree in terms of the answer is a hundred percent yes. It is way more beneficial and better than a normal facial, like Lytsa was saying, it's your normal facials, yes, they're using serums and that, but they exfoliate, but they're not exfoliating deep into the skin. And it's a more of a pamper. It's more of a relax, whereas HydraFacial is more of a treatment. It actually goes in deeper. It's helping to actually with the, you know, with the serums and the chemical peels and stuff that we use, we're getting rid of more layers of dead skin cells. We're pushing serums much deeper into the skin. So way more beneficial than a normal facial. I feel. Yeah, me too, as I said, well, I pretty much answered, but yeah. That's how it, usually the feedback that I get from my clients is that they can actually feel while the treatment has been performed. They're like their skin has been hoovered. It's like a weird sensation. Like is like my face is getting hoovered and at the same time it's getting wet. So cause that's what the HydraFacial is about. I'm removing the dirt, but at the same time I'm repairing the skin. I'm constantly repairing, I'm removing and I'm repairing. Yeah. We are constantly treating. So definitely a way more beneficial than all the facials. It's the most modern facial on the market right now, it's very complete. Yeah, and you can do so many different things with it. The range of the peels. Yeah. Right now they even released like a new one with, I think it was partnership with Dr. Murad. Yeah. That's the thing is they've got so many serums. Like we, you know, I will go, we can go into more detail of that at some point as well, but you know, there's retinol based ones, there's ones for rosacea. There's ones for sort of anti aging, hyaluronic acid for boosting the skin in terms of moisture and plumping the skin. So honestly, you know, way better and way more advanced than your normal standard facials. But anyway, we digress, let's go back to our normal list and see, so the next one is, does a HydraFacial help acne? I would say, Yes, it can help with acne. Of course we cannot perform HydraFacial on top of active acne as we cannot perform any facial on top of active acne, because we end up spreading it. We can spread the bacteria, especially what's active acne, by the way? Usually when you have those breakouts that has yellow puss and it's so, and it's like all over the face. So if we do anything on top of that, we can spread the bacteria and you're going to end up having more acne or even cysts. So, but if it's very controlled and is literally just been paused or just, I don't know, a period breakout, the acids that we use, we have one called glycell that it's cocktail is a mixture of glycolic and salicylic acid. And they are apart from the AHS and they really help to clean the sebaceous glands and also to control the oil and with the, and also kill the bacteria from the skin. So with that, I think we can treat acne. Yeah. The thing is, is that acne is a very sort of broad term. Acne can be anything from blackheads to blackheads and Melia or whiteheads to full on cystic acne. So yeah, I would, I would agree with you in terms of anything where it breakouts here and there, sort of hormonal breakouts, you know, a lot of people are, are getting this new thing that we're, we've dubbed mascne because of the Corona virus, people are finding that they're breaking out along that area, along their cheek and jaw line where the mask sits, and yeah with blackheads and things like that - definitely. But if you have a lot of breakouts, there's a lot of they're red, it's inflamed, it's a painful, like lead to sadness, got the pus then no, we can't work on it because the HydraFacial also, the suction is way too much. We would probably break. We wouldn't suck all of the sebum and we wouldn't suck all of the puss and it would be very painful for them then as well. Uh, it's just, it's just. Yeah, yeah, no, it'd be very uncomfortable. So yes. it does treat acne to a degree. Yeah. Obviously like Lytsa has said, we use the serum Glycell that has got your salicylic acid. It's an oil loving acid that goes in, helps to decongest the pores helps reduce inflammation. So yes, if you've got a few breakouts and things like that. Absolutely. But if it's bordering on, you know, where like you feel you need to go to a dermatologist, then no HydraFacial, A - we can't do it, and B - we probably actually make it worse. Yeah, definitely. Okay, perfect. So does HydraFacial remove whiteheads? Now, this is interesting to me. And the reason I'm wondering is because I was, so I come from South Africa guys in case you sort of can't hear the accent and our lovely Lytsa is from Brazil. But so when I went to college, I was always told that whiteheads were those little white, tiny little sort of like white bumps that you saw mainly around the eye area and the technical term for that was a Milia. And basically, you know, you would find them mainly around the eye area or on areas where the skin was really dry. But then when I came to the UK, I was told that whiteheads is classified as like a pimple that has the head with a bit of puss in it. In my case, I've learned quite similar to you, but also we would say, well, the black heads, it's the one that is like those little ones you have around the nose. They're very little, you see the black tip. Exactly. And the white head is the ones that actually there, they are the same size of the black head. However, you don't see the white tip, but you can still squeeze out something out of it. It's definitely not like the pimple thing they said here in your case. So I'm guessing we're all talking about the blackheads and whiteheads. Yes. I think, I think we discussed blackheads the last time. So I'm going to go on the thing of, let's put it this way. If we're talking white heads in terms of from what, from the UK version of it being a pimple with puss it again. No, the HydraFacial, isn't going to remove that because that's a lot deeper in the skin, your blackheads and things are more superficial, so we can do it if we do manual extraction, but that's not normally included in the HydraFacials so yeah, it's an add on. So let's kind of go on the fact of what Lytsa and I were taught, what we've been taught of what a Whitehead is. So either a Milia, which is literally, it looks like a little white pip that sits underneath the skin and literally doesn't matter how hard you squeeze it. It doesn't want to come out. Because it's not a pore. She's trapped underneath. Yeah, absolutely. It's trapped underneath the skin. And basically you've got to open it with like a little needle or a lancet to squeeze it out. So the answer to that one is no, the HydraFacial is not going to do that because it's under quite a few layers of skin. And if it requires a needle to be able to squeeze it out, the only thing the HydraFacial will help with is that it softens the skin on the surface so that it makes it easier for us to then to be able to squeeze the milia out. But in terms of, will it remove it on its own? No, if we, if we talk about Lytsa's version of whiteheads in terms of that, it's basically just that they haven't turned black because they haven't oxidized yet, or they haven't come into contact with oxygen. However the pore is open and you are able to squeeze it out with your hands, then it will be yes, it can. Exactly. So if there's a bit of congestion and you know, the pore is open, but it's just, it's fairly fresh and it hasn't sort of oxidized and that's why it hasn't turned black then yes, absolutely. The HydraFacial will help remove that because it is similar to a black head in terms of that they're superficial. It's not that it's sitting underneath layers of skin, so that will definitely be removed. So I know there was a little bit of a complicated question because there was a lot of, sort of different ideas of what whiteheads are. So I hope we've managed to yeah. Should we just do guys pimple milia blackheads or we can call it blackheads, whiteheads usually, you know, it just. Yeah. So yeah. Basically blackheads. Absolutely. Yes. Millia, no, like I said, it'll soften the skin, but it's not going to remove it. And in terms of like your breakouts with the pus, again, no, we can squeeze that out manually, but the HydraFacial itself is not going to do that. So I hope we manage to answer some of those questions pretty well . Complex question. It was literally the ones that were like we left out, but it was actually very important on that day that we did the first, the first part of the Hydrafacial. Yeah, so, yeah there was a, there were some complicated questions there. But at least hopefully we've managed to answer those questions. So we are going to sign out for today and, I'm sure we have another session of.. Yeah, I guess there will be a big part three. Yeah. They will be part three coming, but yeah, such a simple treatment yet so many questions. It's new, even though it has been on the market for around like a couple of years. Yeah. I still like, there's many people that don't know what it's about, but they see it, they see it advertised everywhere, in UK it has became really big. And then we here at Hannah London, we started working like as soon as they released, because we know what was good. Yeah exactly. We know what's good here. Perfect. Well guys, we're going to sign up for today. So I hope you have enjoyed. And again, there is part three coming, but if you have any other questions with regards to this or anything else, then just let us know and we will do our best to answer it. So from both of us, have a wonderful rest of your day and we will catch you soon. Bye bye.
