Hey guys, I am so glad that you are continuing on with the 21 days of devotion. Thank you for joining me. For those of you that don't know me, my name is Amanda. I'm an admin here at Life Community Church. The scripture I'm going to be going over today is Isaiah 55, 10 through 11. The rain and snow came down from the heavens and say on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word, I send it out and it always produces fruit. I love how that scripture, specifically the part where it says, It is the same with my word, I send it out and it always produces fruit. God's word, when you allow it to seep within your heart, will always produce fruit. The more and more that you water your heart with God's word, the more that you will produce love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, and self-control. When the rain and the snow come down and water the earth, we don't always see what's going on in the behind the scenes of that. We don't always see the nourishment that the rain and the snow bring to the soil or that they bring to the seeds. We don't see the nutrients that it provides for the seed. We just have faith that by watering it, that one day fruit will be produced. Even though that we don't see all of that working, all the behind the scenes, all of the seeping into the different layers of the seed and all the nutrients that's being brought, doesn't mean that it's not working, though. Even though we don't always see our minds being physically transformed by the Word of God and being powerfully renewed does not mean that it's not working. Instead, we must choose to believe even though we don't see it. Now, if we experience a dry season for an extended period of time, just like a crop, your fruit will begin to lose nutrients. You may even find that your patience is thin. You may find it's easy to get angry at your kids or your spouse. It may be even so dry that those fruits begin to wither and disappear. So then what must you do? You must consistently water your soul with the word of God every single day. Every single day you must wake up and choose to read your Bible. Not because you feel like it, but because you have faith that it's important. Every single day you must invite the Lord into your heart, invite the Lord into your workspace, invite the Lord into your car. Not because you want to, but because you know that you need to. The more time that you're watered by God's word, be prepared for weeds to be appearing. Just like whenever water comes down and it washes through the soil, oftentimes weeds appear. The same happens in our walk with the Lord. Different thorns in our side will be appeared to us. Clarity will be brought to our eyes. We'll be able to see areas that we need to surrender to God. And then we ask Him, Lord, remove these things from my life. God, I surrender them to you. Remove these from my life. Whatever I can do to grow closer to you, Lord, help me to do that. Clearing out the weeds allows for good fruit to grow in. So I encourage you, start today. Don't wait till tomorrow. Start right now in this moment. Get a routine, be consistent with the Word of God. Open the Word, seek to learn more about who He is and how we should be. Invite Jesus to shape and mold you into who He desires for you to be. So, Jesus, thank you for every single individual who watches this video, Lord. I just pray that you would give a passion and a desire to grow deeper with you, to become rooted in the Word of God. I pray that we would become convicted on areas of our lives that do not glorify you, and that you would weed through all of the bad fruit and that you would produce good fruit within us, Lord. We love you and we're so thankful for the freedom and redemption that you bring. In Jesus' name. Amen.
