This year has been the best financial year of my entire career. And my mum was on life support. Both things were true. Hi, I'm Laura Bedo Collins and I've built over my years a community of 21,000 founders. What you're about to watch is behind the scenes of this year. Not the highlight reel, the whole thing. Yeah, bless her, she's still unresponsive, but uh yeah, she's uh been heavily stated. Sometimes it looks like standing on stages in front of hundreds of people and delivering the best talks of your career. And sometimes in that very same week, it looks like sitting in a hospital corridor trying to answer emails, wondering if today is the day that you have to make the most impossible decision of your life. But I'm just wondering whether to just pull the blood on it for now. My business is just so important to me.

SPEAKER_01Not more important than my mum because I was able to sit with her by her bedside the whole time. I ended up delivering my keynote practice to three ICU nurses whilst my mum laid beside me on life support. Oh, I feel a bit emotional. The highs and the lows don't take turns. They don't wait for each other. They arrive together. And the only thing that determines whether you survive it is who you are underneath the strategy. Your voice matters even when it trembles. Especially when it trembles.
