Show Notes

Welcome to the WonderMum table, Amy Gould.

New Mum & creator of Black Moon, the most gorgeous ethical Australian made leather handbags!

Ali and I have known Amy for many years now. She's literally a part of the  family.

We share a love of holistic solutions and as a fellow entrepreneurial business woman, we love talking all things business mindset & personal growth, this time though, we're talking new Mumma things!

Having helped Amy navigate a few things throughout the pregnancy, we were keen to invite her to the table to ask her what she wished she knew going in!

We chat about:

  • food
  • gestational diabetes
  • eating in general for sleep and sanity
  • handling decisions around vaccination & acute illnesses
  • and we touch briefly on breastfeeding & the challenges of giving birth in 2020.

We only had a limited amount of time and I plan on inviting her back to explore sleep & the solutions she found, her experience with our WonderMum R&R program (Amy's been using our Pilates strategies to zip everything back together), her new found passion for homeopathy and how she's feeling coming up to Este's first birthday!

So stay tuned and be sure to take a screen shot of this episode, share and tag us with your favourite take away....what did you love the most?

Discussion around eating for pregnancy & gestational diabetes:

Talking about breastfeeding:

  • Ali mentions the Thompson method

Talking about various decisions around medical interventions:

  • Melissa mentions Dr Viera Scheibner

As the Swiss doctors wrote (Albonico et al. 1990), “we have lost the common sense and wisdom that used to prevail in the approach to childhood diseases. Too often, instead of reinforcing the organism’s defences, fever and symptoms are relentlessly suppressed. This is not always without consequences”
