Safety Culture: It Starts With Me
Show Notes

Treework is a dangerous job that can be done safely, and doing it safely means taking really good care of us and listening to our bodies. In this episode we will talk about about stress, heart rate, self care, sleep, making the best decisions, operating at our optimal levels, and caring about each other. At the end of the day we all want to go home intact, and in one piece.

Our goal is to bridge the gap that exists among all treeworkers and make Safety Culture normal, not something that only "some" people do. We hope to create a safe and warm environment among treeworkers because the bottom line is: We are each other's keepers.

Every other month we hold our Canopy Classes at Burke Outdoor in Morganton, North Carolina. These classes are always free, educational credits are usually available, and a rec climb always follows the class. We want to make sure everyone, regardless of experience or education level, has the opportunity to network and learn to be safer and better treeworker.
