Scholarship applications available The Southwest Alabama Medical Center Auxiliary will award its annual scholarships in June. Applicants must have been accepted into a healthcare field of study. Applications can be picked up at Alabama Coastal Community College or the Crown Health Care office at the nursing home in Thomasville. Applications must be turned in no later than July 1. USDA Assistance Program Row crop farmers affected by poor economic conditions can apply for the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program started March 19.
