BEWARE! Ghosts to roam Jackson streets

Jackson’s streets will soon be filled with ghosts, goblins, superheroes and princesses as the community gears up for its annual trick-ortreat night on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. City officials are reminding residents to keep porch lights on if they plan to welcome costumed visitors and to be extra cautious when driving through neighborhoods during those hours. “The safety of our children is always the top priority,” said a city spokesperson. “We encourage everyone to slow down, watch for children crossing the street, and avoid distractions like cell phones while driving.” Local law enforcement and first responders...
