Jackson fired up!

Firefighters, school groups and community members filled downtown Jackson on Oct. 8 for the annual Fire Prevention Parade, celebrating 75 years of Fire Prevention Week. The event featured fire trucks, the Jackson and Clarke County high school bands, civic clubs, and local queens. The University of South Alabama Marching Jaguar Band and the Azalea Trail Maids made special appearances, adding flair to the diamond anniversary celebration. The parade capped a day of fire safety demonstrations and visits to local institutions, including schools and daycares.
