Ex-CACC leader Pouncey arrested

Former Coastal Alabama Community College President Dr. Craig Pouncey was taken into custody Dec. 30 on multiple felony charges, according to Baldwin County Jail records. Authorities charged Pouncey with five counts of using his official position for personal benefit. He was released on a 0,000 bond, according to jail documents. Pouncey previously served as Jefferson County Superintendent of Education before leading Coastal Alabama Community College. He retired from the college in 2023.
