Silent MLK march slated

Jackson Masonic Lodge No. 139 will host its annual silent march and retreat ceremony in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on Jan. 19. The event commemorates King’s legacy and his impact on American history and the ongoing pursuit of unity and justice. Participants will assemble at Jackson Middle School at 3:50 p.m., followed by a silent march to Jackson City Hall. Upon arrival, attendees will take part in a retreat ceremony program and a small reception. Churches, civic groups, organizations and community members are encouraged to attend and participate.
