Library renovations celebrated in McIntosh

The McIntosh Public Library hosted on March 5 an open house celebrating the completion of renovations to the facility. The updates were made possible through grant funding and community support and include new doorways, flooring, bookshelves and upgrades designed to improve safety and the overall learning environment. Library manager Nancy Alston said the project was made possible through cooperation between the Town of McIntosh and several grant partners. The ALA-TOM RC&D contributed ,300 toward improvements to the children’s section. Alston said the children’s room got new bookshelves and books, a computer and projector.
