Washington County man gets life sentence in Semmes killing

A Washington County man has been sentenced to life in prison in connection with a 2023 killing, according to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office. Jeffery Holley was sentenced after being convicted of murder and first-degree robbery in the death of Alan “Bama” Williams on Feb. 15, 2023, near Kushla Oaks Drive East in Semmes. Investigators determined Holley robbed Williams of his gun and then shot him in the head. Williams died several days later from his injuries, authorities said. Holley was found guilty in January.
