Clarke 4-H students receive scholarships

Two Clarke County students received scholarships from the Poarch Band of Creek Indians in conjunction with the Southeastern Livestock Exposition Rodeo. Charlotte Clarke of Jackson and Addie Claxton of Grove Hill were among students statewide honored as part of the tribe’s annual scholarship program, which supports youth participation in livestock programs and agricultural education. Clarke, an eighth-grade student, has been actively involved in 4-H livestock projects, including three years in the Chick Chain program and two years in the Pig Squeal project.
