Brant Palmer of the Jackson Swim Club and Riley Childress of the West Mobile Swim Club were recognized as the Swimmers of the Year by the Mobile Optimist Club on July 30. Palmer was named the Male Swimmer of the Year despite the lack of a regulation year-round pool in Jackson.
