Request for tax abatement delayed GROVE HILL — Action on a requested tax abatement for the Packaging Corporation of America paper mill in Jackson was tabled Tuesday by the Clarke County Commission. County economic developer Jessica Ross asked for a delay to have a better understanding of the request. Commissioner Barry Chancey, who is employed by PCA, said the company is ready to move forward with an equipment purchase and approval shouldn’t be delayed.
