The Clarke County grand jury had an unusual low number of cases to be considered and returned an equally low number of criminal indictments during its fall session last week. One-hundred-sixteen cases were presented and of those 84 true bills, or indictments were returned. There were 110 felonies and 57 misdemeanors. Usually, about 100 true bills are returned and a possible high of 503 were issued in 2022.
