In Season 2, Episode 8 of The Home Health Care Today Show, features Mayor Amer Ghalib, first Arab American Mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan for National Arab American Heritage Month.

Mayor Ghalib came to the United States as an immigrant from Yemen over 23 years ago. With a passion for people, math, medicine, nursing, and hard work he excelled in undergraduate studies, earning a bachelors degree in Biology and another in nursing.  He finished medical school and USMLE steps 1 and 2. His unrelenting public service, passion for politics, health care, and community service paved the way for him to become the first Arab American Mayor of Hamtramck, while still holding a health care and nursing position in the city's busiest Urgent Care Clinic, seeing 60-70 patients daily.

The show's goal is to honor Arab American Heritage Month and to inform, inspire, influence, and educate Metropolitan Detroiters on the importance of Arab American Heritage Month and the countless contributions of Arab American to US history and world history.
