S7 E4 Long Term Care - Considerations and Finances

Rebecca

Long Term Care is a hidden chapter that many people don't want to discuss, whether for themselves or for a loved one, but a bit of planning can make all the difference when it comes to this hidden chapter. Join Jess as she discusses some of the considerations that will help you evaluate a location, and provides some ideas on how to finance long term care.

In this episode, you'll hear Jess say "ADLs." ADL stands for "Activities of Daily Living," and encompasses things like walking, feeding, dressing, etc. In other contexts, you may also hear "IADLs" which stands for "Instrumental Activities of Daily Living." These differ from ADLs but are still critical to understand. IADLs include things like driving, meal prep, and chores.
