PRAYER OF LETTING GO
To You do I belong, O God,
into Your hands I surrender my life.
Pour out Your Spirit upon me
that I may love You perfectly,
and serve You faithfully
until my soul rests in You.

Saturday love and blessings be with you, God Minute Family. And thank you for sharing a part of your day with us in prayer. For those joining us for the first time, on Saturdays, we acknowledge Mary as our mother and guide and call upon her intercession throughout our prayer. How nice it is to be together again. Welcome to prayer. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace.

SPEAKER_02

Blessed are you among women.

SPEAKER_01

Teach me to breathe. Mother Mary, blessed Virgin, when the road before me disappears into uncertainty, walk beside me. You know what it is to travel without answers, trusting only in the promise of God.

SPEAKER_03

When fear begins to speak too loudly, and I imagine every possible sorrow, quiet my restless heart. Teach me to breathe and to wait as you did for God to intervene.

SPEAKER_01

You carry Jesus within you before the world could see him. Help me believe that God is also at work in me, hidden beneath the surface, growing something holy I cannot yet understand.

SPEAKER_03

When plans unravel and familiar paths come to an end, keep me from despair. Remind me that a closed door may be the beginning of another enunciation.

SPEAKER_01

Mother of faithful courage, take my trembling hand. Lead me beyond the borders of what is comfortable and known, into the wide and waiting arms of your Son.

SPEAKER_03

Walk with me today, O Blessed Mother. When I cannot see the way, gently encourage me to take the next step. And when even that feels impossible, stay near and hold me until my path opens before me.

SPEAKER_01

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_03

As it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart. As working for the Lord and not for human masters. The word of the Lord. And apparently, I'm what they call a classic overfunctioner. It's a style of behavior I've acquired as a result of trying to create emotional safety for myself. I step in to control as much as I can. I micromanage, I carry the emotional load of others. I have this belief that I have to be the strong one and the one that handles everything. Like if I stop or slow down, everything will fall apart. I control things because I believe I've grown this mindset that if I don't handle it, it won't get done. And that I can't relax until everything is settled. I overextend myself to keep the peace. And I will continue to stay on even when I'm exhausted. To be honest, I even find myself feeling guilty for resting. But also that I didn't become controlling because I'm broken. I became controlling because I was trying to survive. So if any of this resonated with you, please know that you are not broken. Oftentimes, over functioners and probably everyone at times, we carry things God never asked us to carry. We're doing work He never called us to do. Because for some reason we've come to believe we're supposed to, or we have to. Did God ask me to carry this? Or did I assume it was my job? Ask that question in regard to all the things you're doing. Bring it to the Lord. Or did somewhere along the way I assume, or perhaps I was told I was supposed to. Our reading today reminds us that we work for the Lord and not for men. Do you ever stop to think about what that means? How do men, how how does society want us to work? How are we so often told we're supposed to work? There's a difference between working to exhaustion in the eyes of the world for worldly gain and working at something with all your heart for the Lord. Like this Bible passage describes. Now that's gonna look different for every single one of us. So I can't tell you what that's supposed to look like for you. But maybe sit with God. Talk to him about that today or tomorrow sometime. And no matter what, please know it's okay to rest. You are so loved by God, even in a state of rest, even when you are doing absolutely nothing, he delights in you.

SPEAKER_04

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Let us pray. Blessed Mother, help us to give ourselves generously to what God asks of us, while having the wisdom to release what was never ours to carry. When we feel the need to control or fix, teach us to follow your example and place it all into the hands of God. Lead us into the quiet trust of your heart, where we can simply rest and know that we are loved. And we ask through your Son, our Lord Jesus, to you do I belong, O God. Into your hands I surrender my life. Pour out your spirit upon me, that I may love you perfectly and serve you faithfully until my soul grasps in you. Brothers and sisters, thank you for joining us today. I hope your weekend is truly filled with joy, with wonder. And may God bless you as you do go forth in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

SPEAKER_04

Hopefully, you'll join me tomorrow for breaking open the word. Until then, know you are loved, and share that gift with others, and we'll see you tomorrow.
