Threads of Change: Stacey Grant-Canham's Feminist Fashion Revolution with Black and Beech

Mari Williams, The Mind Architect Season 1 Episode 38

Stacey Grant-Canham, founder of Black and Beech, discusses her journey from a part-time side hustle to a mission-driven fashion brand.

Inspired by her father's brain aneurysm and her own experiences, Stacey emphasizes the importance of integrity, feminism, and sustainability in her business. She transitioned from academia to entrepreneurship, driven by the need for safety and security.

Black and Beech focuses on ethical practices, supporting positive industry changes, and fostering a community of like-minded individuals. Despite challenges, Stacey aims for continuous improvement, balancing profitability with her values, and advocates for systemic change, particularly in political leadership and climate action.

Black & Beech was created by Stacey as a part-time side hustle whilst on maternity leave with her first son. Since then, Black & Beech has evolved into a brand with a mission: to fuse a passion for feminism and activism with a commitment to provocative, ethical, and sustainable fashion.

Fashion is a powerful form of expression and an effective tool for empowerment. At Black & Beech, they create a space where individuals can express their feminist beliefs through fashion, while actively supporting positive practices within the fashion industry.
