For many farmers in Sokoto State, harvest season should bring relief after months of hard work and investment, but a fresh fire outbreak has turned hope into heartbreak.
The incident destroyed 2,275 bags of onions worth about ₦56.8 million, adding to similar losses recorded in 2025 and leaving families without income for school fees, food, and debt repayment.
