Eternal Perspective—2 Corinthians 5:21
In 2 Corinthians 5:21, Paul writes about a two-way exchange that Jesus enacted on the cross: our sin was credited to Jesus, and his righteousness was credited to us. Even though as Christians we believe that this exchange has occurred in our lives, we often struggle to live out the fact that we have received the very righteousness of God, and this often causes us to feel like we need to work our way to righteousness even though God has already given that to us through Christ.
