Speaker 1:

Merry Christmas to you all. Welcome to the Finance Bible Podcast. Very exciting time of the year. What Christmas special? One of the greatest. I'm not talking about Christmas start. I'm talking about the Finance Bible Christmas special podcast.

Speaker 1:

Well, we can probably release it the day beforehand and then all the fellow listeners can be up and about, ready for Santa to come down their chimney, leave him some cookies, a little bit of milk. Oh, he's having such a great time. You can't tell. We're quite upbeat. It's nearly Christmas. We're ready for everyone to have a great-. It was Jerry Minas' Merry Objectmas. Merry Objectmas, yeah, true, but we're ready for everyone to have a lovely holiday season. We hope that everyone's safe, healthy. Well, their families come and visit them. Hopefully you all have someone to love. Like a young Bieber one said Hopefully you've all got somebody to love. That's actually good. That's what I was saying. Hopefully you're all chilling out with family friends, even if you're not with anyone. Watching your favorite show, going for a walk, whatever makes you happy. Just hope you're having a good day. Or hopefully you go on a holiday or you get given the right present you want, hopefully your significant other, your partner, whether it be Boy, girl or Non-Binary Hopefully they give you a nice cuddle and a kiss in the morning. Oh yeah, ideally, everyone's just happy.

Speaker 1:

Now, don, what are you doing on Christmas? What's happening? Tell me, mate? I've got a few family and friends coming over to Mum's house, which would be a really good day. Actually, it would be a big day. I think we're starting around 1-2, close 1AM, 1am. One Santa's just finished his business. Yes, that is true, but no 1pm until whenever we decide to go home, go to sleep or go somewhere else.

Speaker 1:

Coming over to your place? Yes, correct. How many people are we looking at hosting? I think 15. 15 or 16. It does sound like a lovely time All family or a few friends and a few friends, if you listen to what I said, mate. Yeah, but who's friends is what I'm asking. Family friends, okay. So basically, family. That's okay, that's it.

Speaker 1:

What are you up to? Well, apart from working, I don't know, because I've got quite a bit going on at the moment A few moving parts Between recently touching back down in Newcastle from Perth and then Melbourne and then here, and then I've got to go back to Queensland as well early January for a couple of work things as well. But there's a few client properties are coming up to settlement on about the 28th of December. So it's a bit of a tight squeeze at the moment. I don't know, I'll probably be working pretty hard and then here as well. It's a lot like going on literally from 1st of January yeah, the two in terms of new properties Two weeks starting from the 20th until like literally the 5th of January. So we'll probably have one day of fun and literally back into our guests. Yeah, I think that actual Christmas for me. I probably won't do a whole lot. I think that I'll probably celebrate about late January when I'm up in Queensland. I might extend the trip three or four days and have what do I call a sand at special Zake, send it special. Yeah, it'll be a good time. Let's just say I'll have my phone locked up and the Instagram won't be much public for those couple of days Christmas and New Year's kind of all together it has a good.

Speaker 1:

It's got a good meaning. A lot of people In this period right there. Resolutions for the new year Well, we, we're going to talk about that on a separate episode, so let's not get too far ahead here. I don't know that, but you know, I personally think writing them in Christmas period or even before, like right now, while they're gonna be at middle of December, because when you hit Christmas and that weird time frame of Christmas until New Year's Eve, don't know about you, but I feel like it's a weird I lose track of days in that period. It's a strange feeling. It's a fun time. Why are we losing track of days? Is there? Is there a fair bit of alcohol consumption going on? What's the problem? Just good times, all right, but generally speaking, you're seeing friends, you're seeing family, you might be going to the beach, you might be traveling like you stood up to Queensland, even though that's in Jan you forget to write your resolutions and Before all the busy stuff happens, I don't think it's vital to sit down if you have a journal, a Goal book myself, as you know, zeke, I've got that mid Book.

Speaker 1:

You love a physical book, and the me goals is called yes. For all Listeners out there that like to physically write things, like mr Don, go ahead. It's wonderful. I love to see it. It's beautiful. You right there. You've got better handwriting than me. It looks good, you can see it and the best thing is, you have your habits. You write down every single habit. It's got checkbox Monday to Sunday. Make sure you tick him. That's. It's unreal. It literally keeps you accountable. But it has a big While. These books have a big area of goals.

Speaker 1:

So take an hour, hour and a half, how long it takes you, but write down your goals, write them before it's too late, because it's like first of the first of Jan, everyone goes to the gym. Fifth of Jan, no one's there. I will be steering clear of the gym. Actually, between those that first week of the new year, purely, I'm not seeing. This is a five-hour. No, we'll be there. I think they will, though that's the problem. I'd rather not like to just go do a different form of exercise and dodge it.

Speaker 1:

But all of you who don't write stuff down and you're a bit like me you might go into a particular memory file 88, be and Dr Drive and find the Google Doc that's in your head you do. The best way is each does so. As you know, we have a company asset road help, client source investment properties to Propel them to financial success. But the way you do your to-do list is you send yourself a DM to asset, right, I do all your to-do lists and then when you done them, I like it.

Speaker 1:

When you've completed them, you, you like them. So I get all these notifications. It's like your message. I'm like I haven't said anything, anything. I'm so good. Yes, that's a new list, not a goal, but yeah, to do this, absolutely, I'm message myself like 50 DMs at this beginning of the day and I'll like them when they complete. And if I don't complete them that day which is a very real mine I'm like, no, I hit them with the thumbs down. Oh, I have seen a and go hang on a minute. I've given a thumbs. Yeah, I've got to fix that up. Mm-hmm, then you'll notice it very quickly changes to a love heart emoji, meaning I've done it, you have completed it. But funny things like that. Everyone's different, but I would recommend personally, I like to get everything done before it's too late and too busy. Get it sorted before if you are into writing goals and to-do lists, like yourself.

Speaker 1:
