I'm better than you, and you know it! I can't see now. I am home, baby! What is up, y'all? It is Brother Pyro here, bringing you another episode of Wrestling Crossroads. Unfortunately, I am without my tag team partner, her sister, Twisted. Baby Crossroads has been not the greatest today, and I know she hasn't been really feeling all too well herself, so. I will be bringing you this episode solo. Today I am recapping a W'S full gear. Sorry, this came out late. Again, just scheduling conflicts. Not necessarily all of us feeling the greatest right now, but let's dive right in. Opening the show Fatal four Way for the a EW Tag team titles. You had the out runners, the acclaimed. Kings of the Black Throne, which consists of House of Black members Malachi Black and Brody King. And your reigning and defending champions walking into the match, Private Party. This match really did a lot. It was, it was a lot more chaotic than I thought it would be. It was hard to keep track of at times. Genuinely, and honestly, I don't think there really was a lot of very memorable moments for this match, unfortunately, which does suck because I have, I had high hopes for it. Uh, I think all four teams are phenomenal teams. Uh, And it just sucks that they didn't deliver to the expectations that I know I had for it. I can almost guarantee Twisted feels the same way as I do. It just, it was underwhelming for the four way, uh, going into the end, you got, at one point you did see both members of the acclaimed tagged in. Which I mean we saw Not long ago with the new day and again a page out of uh, the new age outlaws playbook Which is really funny because billy gunn being a member of the new age outlaws being their mentor really Kind of brought that moment together for me Uh closing moments though you got to see I think it was I don't remember the last two legal men You did see Private party, however, retaining their titles and walking out of Newark, still your AEW Tag Team Champions. With all of that being said, uh, going into the grade that I gave this, I gave it about a B Again, very underwhelming, felt like they could have done a lot more with this match, but I do feel the right people went over. Going into match number two, MJF, Roderick Strong in a one on one match. Uh, again, bringing in the, hey, I need, for either one of y'all to face me, y'all gotta win three consecutive matches in a row. MJF kind of paying off the Don Callis family to screw over Adam Cole, giving us Roderick Strong versus MJF. This match went about what I expected. Again, not super memorable, not a lot of standout moments. And actually at times there was, there was a few instances where it kind of dragged. We opened the match with the bell ringing, MJF doing typical MJF things, rolling out the ring, talking smack to the crowd, talking smack to Roddy. Roddy exits the ring and matches on from there. Uh, picking up the win, MJF. Much to really the surprise of, I don't think anybody. I think that was kind of what we all saw happening, given that he was the one setting up all the hoops for Roderick Strong and Adam Cole. Kind of excited to see where that goes, but at the same time, we all know what the real story is, so Roddy, go take a back seat. Again, another B minus match. Mercedes Monet defending her TBS title. I was going to say TNT title. Getting my titles mixed up here. TBS title on the line. Mercedes Monet, Chris Statlander in a match that nobody really, like, I, again, I don't remember how we got here. I, it's been a few days, so trying to recap this match was definitely not easy. Um, Chris Statlander, for the most part, did carry the match, because Mercedes weaknesses have very much shown since she fell out of the, uh, protective umbrella of certain people and companies. Mercedes is the definition of, I cannot work with everybody. I need the right dance partner. Unfortunately, Chris Statlander is not that for her. A lot of this match did drag, was very slow paced. It was just Wasn't really all that great in my opinion Let me know what y'all think though Y'all know how to contact us Uh walking out of new jersey still tbs champion mercedes monet I want to see what they have set up next for her, where her next challenger is going to be eventually. I do see the split coming with her and Camille with the way she talks down on Camille. I'm just hoping it's sooner rather than later because Camille is a phenomenal talent. And to see her overshadowed this way and not utilized properly is actually heartbreaking to me. Alright, going into match number four of the night. Hangman Adam Page, Switchblade Jay White. Now this match, I want to say, was absolutely phenomenal. Uh, you got a great story out of this. A lot of hard hitting action. Honestly, I thought it was going to be a little more technical. And it wasn't. You got to see what this really meant for both men. Especially cause J. Y. really wanting to get his hands on Hangman. After Hangman cost him some months of his career. Uh, The amount of false finishes that we got were insane. Uh, just cause it really was anyone's match. Going through, going through this match, getting to see a lot of their work and deep seated hatred on the outside as well as on in the inside of the ring. Run this back again. Run this back one more time because I genuinely enjoyed it. I know Twisted said she, this was a favorite match of hers and it is. Absolutely phenomenal to see. I, uh, I graded this match an A because again, you could not have given me a better You couldn't have given me a better match. You couldn't have given me a better lineup. And These match, these men are going to go on to do a lot more great things when it comes to this company. He, uh, picking up the win was Jay White, uh, which made me really happy because, uh, I was, I wasn't sure it was really hard to pick a winner for this match because it really could have gone either way. Next match on the docket, Will Ospreay and the man looking to carve a name for himself and no longer live in his former best friend's shadow, Kyle Fletcher. Again, about as personal as it got, you know, Will Ospreay, they, they acknowledge this on commentary a lot, how Ospreay opened his home to Kyle Fletcher when he was just starting out, how when they came to the States they lived together, how they used to be thick as thieves as friends, and how Ospreay just feels utterly betrayed after Wrestle Dream when Fletcher came out and hit that tiger driver on him. Great match. Quick paced. I have no negative comments here about this match. You didn't see any interference from Don Callis to the rest of the Don Callis family. So this really was one on one as true, as by definition as true as it got for a singles match. No dirty tricks. Um, Man, was this great to watch. Uh, probably one of my favorite matches. This, this whole card. Maybe even this year. But, we're not going to get into that conversation. Right now. They, you really saw how well each, each man knew each other. Because as soon as one had something to say or do, the next one had an answer. Osprey had an answer for everything Fletcher threw at him, and Fletcher in response also had an answer for Osprey. Great, um, picking up the win. Kyle Fletcher again, another A plus match. Please go back and watch this if you haven't already. Now we go into Jack Perry defending his TNT title against Daniel Garcia. Daddy Magic on the mic, you know, in, uh, on the announce table, having a lot of fun, us fans having a lot of fun with this match and man, did it deliver. You, you got to see from just from the entrance what this meant to Garcia, you know, going through the video package of his life growing up and, and, and his parents words of encouragement, specifically his mom. He really did go all out. He put it, he left it all in the ring. Perry definitely didn't come to play because, you know, One, I want revenge for you tying me to the hood of my truck or my bus. And two, I'm not ready to let go of this title. Both men really digging deep into their bag of tricks here. Here, making it personal, making it very strong in terms of story and really working really well together to put on A great, great match. Picking up the win. Your new, and man does that feel good to say, Your new TNT champion, Daniel Garcia. I'm excited to see what is next for him as TNT champion. Now, international championship on the line. And Kunosuke Takeshita. And Ricochet battling it out in what I thought would be a bit better of a match. This match was kind of slow. Um, and which is really weird for both men. I mean, I guess I get it. You can see, like, Takeshi being able to have answers for Ricochet's high flying and being able to, you know, keep him grounded. However, it still just, something felt off about this match from the minute that the bell rang I was telling Twisted, this, a bunch. I was like, dude, just something doesn't feel right, like, it's not, I'm not okay with it, like, something's off. I, I genuinely don't think they have the greatest chemistry. You got, you saw some involvement from Don Callis, which was to be expected. I mean, I was hoping not since he didn't interfere with the, uh, Kyle Fletcher Will Ospreay match, but I was wrong picking up the match. Uh, retaining the title. Kunosuke Takeshita match was about a C grade, in my opinion. Interesting. Not the greatest that we saw. Next match on the docket, match I've been looking forward to, I know most fans have been looking forward to, you got Swerve Strickland and representing the Hurt Syndicate Bobby Lashley. Um, pretty early you got to see the Hurt Syndicate get involved, uh, leading to Shelton being a Tossed from ringside. MVP was not too happy about that one, which makes me laugh every time. But Lashley really did dominate a good chunk of this match. Swerve's offense wasn't Like, when they, when Swerve really was able to get on the offensive side, he made it count. You definitely tell he did some damage to Lashley, but overall, he didn't get a lot of time to shine as much as, uh, we the fans might have hoped. And unfortunately, with that being said, uh, It led to a Lashley and a Hurt Syndicate victory post match. Benjamin comes down. MVP, Lashley, and Benjamin do continue to attack Swerve. They attack Nana. And unfortunately for us, now it's what's next. How do you continue to build on the Hurt Syndicate, but also What's next for Swerve, cuz he hasn't necessarily have the greatest String of luck lately, unfortunately All right, but now it is time for your main event and there's a lot to unpackage here both in match and Post match, John Moxley, Orange Cassidy, Uh, starts real heavy. Cassidy hitting three orange punches, Uh, to, Starting off with three orange punches, thinking he can get it done early. They reference how the orange punches played a big factor last year, At full gear, you know, Osprey, or not Osprey, Cassidy being able to, Go over on Moxley, I think it was for the international championship actually. Uh, they talked about that type they did reference that title run a lot and how how well of a champion He was when he held that uh going into this match though, there was a lot of battle on the outside a lot of A lot of pure aggression like you saw Again, Moxley not wanting to give up the title, really wanting to assert his dominance among the company. Orange Cassidy had said it earlier in the night, I'm gonna show you that AEW doesn't need you Moxley when I go out there and, you know, kick your ass when I beat you for that title. Uh, which is great, cause like, I love that he had that level of confidence in himself. Going into this match, he really showcased it early. Moxley really couldn't keep him down for the long run. Uh, Cassidy was busted open pretty badly, pretty early. Like, Moxley is covered in Cassidy's blood at one point in this match. You see the head stain on his chest. Man, oh man. Did these two juggernaut athletes really want to rip each other's heads off? You got two count after two count. You, I, I, I don't know how, I lost track of how many times we saw the orange punch. Moxley, again, frustration on his part. Cassidy, frustration on his end. Um, eventually. Making their way with the rest of the Death Rider, er, so, yeah, a few more members of the Death Riders, you know. Claudio comes, and Pac comes, and you can tell they're looking to interfere. So then, what do we see? We see Trent Barretta, Rocky Romero, Minoru Suzuki, of the Conglomeration, or as Sister Twisted likes to call them, Congolamas! Uh, to intercept them, to keep them from getting involved. And, uh, Marina Shafir slides the briefcase into the, into the ring. Uh, Cassidy's able to intercept that as she's distracted, as Shafir is distracting the ref, smacks Moxley. Uh, but before Cassidy can take advantage, Will Ayuda comes in, hits the psycho knee. Um, and if anybody knows the psycho knee, that's actually a Brian Danielson move. Hits the cycle knee on Orange Cassidy, giving Moxley the upper hand. He hits the paradigm shift. One, two, three, still champion. John Moxley. Uh, post match, we really have a lot to unpack here. I think what's probably the most entertaining part of the show, by the way, this was a beep. I gave this grade about a B. Going in, uh, down comes Hangman, attacks Moxley, actually, with a, uh, with a steel chair. Come, then comes Christian, he looks like he's about to cash in that title, all opportunity that he won back at All In, in the Call Your Shot gauntlet or whatever. Jay White is like, nah, we ain't doing that. He comes in. He hits, you know, he hits, uh, the Blade Runner on Christian. Christian then escapes from the ring. Pac and Claudio then come in and attack Jay White. Get Moxley out of there. Uh, following suit is Jay White with steel chair in hand. As they're getting closer to Moxley's truck, there is a vehicle that T bones this truck so they, you know, steal the keys to another vehicle. Um, and who's in that car? Uh, none other than Darby Allen. You can tell he is ready to go. For a fight he wants, Moxley's head on a platter. Still, there are still so many unresolved issues. He takes the skateboard and just bashes the windshield and is attacking this truck and calling Mox, cursing Moxley's name, calling him out. I'm really excited to see what the future holds for the championship. How they're gonna continue to play into this Death Rider storyline. What they're gonna do with Team AEW, which would, which obviously Darby being as passionate as he is, would be 100 percent not going to be mad if they make him, you know, kind of the leader, the guy in charge, like, Hey, what's the next move? Um, but that ends out full gear for us, uh, 2024. I hope everybody did enjoy the show overall. So great, by the way, cause I know. Grades are usually a thing here. Biggie, B minus, kinda teetered. Again, show for the most part was pretty underwhelming. Didn't deliver to the degree that I was that I know I was hoping for. But that's just me. Going into now We're gonna be going into World's End Continental Classic Start on Dynamite. Uh, Selection Sunday has now come and gone. These brackets, man, they are, they are stacked with talent. They are, like, it is, it is gonna be real tough to determine who's walking out champion. Uh, for your blue league, you have the continental champion right now, because the G Kazushika Okada, you have Daniel Garcia, you have Kyle Fletcher, Shelton Benjamin, Mark Briscoe, and the Beast Mortis. Gold League will consist of Osprey, Darby, Ricochet, Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli, and Juice Robinson. I'm excited to see Who makes those finals? Who ends up with the right to call themselves continental champion at the end of all of this tournament? I think this is probably a stronger bracket than they had last year. And man, oh man, is this gonna be good. Well, that is it for Wrestling Crossroads y'all. We will see you Saturday for Survivor Series War Games, which is really shaping up to be a strong card I'm excited for it. I hope those of you that celebrate enjoy your Thanksgiving And for those of you that don't I hope you guys enjoyed the show. Enjoy your week You And we will see you soon.
