We can’t wait to hear from you! Don’t forget to let your voices be heard!!
A glorified weekly episode after 16 years of being off TV Saturday night main event has resurfaced. Drew McIntyre continues to gain wins over Sami Zayn as he looks to take out everyone involved in the Bloodline. Liv Morgan continues her reign as champion keeping her at the 3rd longest Heavyweight champion. Gunther continues his reign as well taking out the last challengers set in his line. Congratulations go out to Chelsea Green as she becomes the first ever Women's United States champion defeating Michin in poetic fashion. Lastly the main event Cody Rhodes defends against a heel Kevin Ownes, Kevin looks to finally pull the trigger ultimately causing each man at separate times to take out a ref. The original ref to start off the match makes an illegal count from outside the ring declaring Cody the winner of the match. Kevin obviously upset attacks Cody after the match using a packaged piledriver, a move that is currently banned in the world of pro wrestling due to its high risk factors.

Wrestling has more than one royal family. Acknowledge me! And we want to stop! What is up guys, welcome back to Wrestling Crossroads. It's always I'm one half dynamic dough twisted alongside brother Pyro. Hello. And we are recapping Saturday night's main event. Now I gotta be honest, we kind of thought this was going to be more of like a pay per view. This ended up being just like a specialty episode of Monday Night Raw or Friday Night Smackdown, unfortunately. So with that being said, Going into future, uh, specialty episodes like this, I don't think we're gonna No, we're not gonna be covering this. Uh, only because it is starting to look like, you know, with us having another one in January, that they might be doing this at least once a month, so that adds even more on to, um, our plate for what we have to do. And, quite frankly, I think we're a little full, because it's still hard to do what we do, sometimes. Especially with Baby Crossroads. Yeah, especially with Baby Crossroads. So, um, at least we got this one out to you. You know, you got to, we got to recap the first one. How long has it been? Like what, 16ish years? Something like that, yeah. Roughly 16 years, so. Without further ado, Brother Pyro, why don't you get us started. So we open up, Drew versus Sammy. Uh, Really did enjoy this match for the most part. You got to see the story and what, uh, and what each man was out to accomplish. Drew McIntyre still on the, I hate punk, I hate Roman, anybody that has stood next to them is on my hit list. Yeah, essentially. And he made it very clear by making target one Sami Zayn. Yes. Yes. Sammy basically, Hey, I don't like the fact that you jumped me, and I don't think I did anything wrong, so I'm gonna stand up for myself. Yeah. Pretty much how we got here, Sammy was able to mount some offense, but Drew did really, uh, take care of Business. Business. He held on to a good portion of the match, which I stated, Prior that's what needs to happen. He needs to make this quick. Mm hmm. He needs to you know, really assert himself And build himself back up now coming back from injury You know and you're right around the corner from rumble so you wanna you know You want to look the best you want to look at what good as you can because you want to be able to do your best Have your GM have a spot for you in that match. Yeah, essentially. Picking up the win was Drew McIntyre. Mm hmm. To the surprise of no one. Yeah, not really. You agreed for this one? I gave it a B. Okay. I think I said it was pretty much exactly what you expected, nothing Nothing more nothing less Alright next match on the card was the women's world title match Liv Morgan defends her championship against EO Sky Again, this is another match. I you knew you got to see how much this meant to EO Which we know that she's been kind of in the hunt for being back to being champion again Liv Morgan for number two. Yep, Liv Morgan trying to retain best that she can You I gotta say, there is one part during the match, um, that really caught my eye and the commentators did comment about it, is when Io came with the knee straight to the nose of Morgan, that, um, you know, most, most women that would have knocked out. They would have knocked out, would have broke their nose, something. But Liv continued to fight throughout the match. Oh yeah, no, that was, that was great. That shows her resiliency as not just champion, but as a, as a competitor as a whole. Cause like, I get, like you said it, any normal competitor or anybody like not really prepped to take a hit like that. That's it. End of match. Call it one, two, three, stick a foot in them. They're done. Yeah. Um, Not much else to say about this match. No other real memorable moments for me. EO did put up a really good fight, but however, retaining I'm really happy that this went back and forth, and I'm really happy that this match really didn't have a ton of interference. Yeah, no. I don't even think there was any interference, if I remember correctly, because both of them kind of sent their, you know, people to the back, if I remember. Yeah, right out, right away. So this was just playing one on one match, which, again, I did like as well. Ultimately They finally showed she could do something. Ultimately picking up the win, Liv Morgan retains her championship. Your grade for this one? B It kind of dried. It did. Hence the there's not much memorable about this. Again, this I don't think we're going to have this long of an episode for this one, only because this was more or less just a glorified Again, it was literally just like Aurora Smackdown. Yeah Alright, uh, next match. Uh, next match was a triple threat match for the world heavyweight title Gunther Damien Priest Finn Balor again Balor wanting to prove that he has what it takes to be champion something he's failed at in the past Priest more or less one. I want the title that I should have lost back and to screw you Balor And Gunther just trying to retain overall. Gunther trying to retain and show that he actually is that guy and that he can do it without his victory being tainted. Because that's, Butler's point is you wouldn't be champion without me, which justifiably, he does have the right to make that argument. Yep. Ah, so this match really was personal, was heated. You got to see a lot of temporary alliances between Gunther and Preece, between Balor and Gunther, like, it was, but they really were the definition of I want this for me. They understood every man for themselves. Uh, one of my favorite, uh, moments in this match, actually, Gunther was going for a pin, I believe. Uh, and the way he was positioned. Ballard was able to come in, give him a chop to the chest. I don't remember if it was a pin or if it was a submission. Mm hmm. Relinquishes the hold, gives one back to Ballard. Chop for a chop. Sir, that is not a contest you want with Gunther. No. Ever. No. No, don't do it. No, until you end up missing your ribcage. Mm mm. I'm just saying. Hunter's a hard hitting man. He's a heavy handed individual. Yes. And his hand is kind of the size of Valor's chest. Anyways, so. It might be bigger, but anyway. So, one of my, one of my big, one of my favorite, again, another great thing I can say about this match, though, is You really did believe it could be anyone's game, because at one point you really did think Valor had a chance. You thought Priest had a chance. You were really thinking, alright, this is Gunther's time to show why he is the world heavyweight champion. No man really phoned it in. And usually you have those moments. Yeah. Or you can tell like, uh, they're kind of half assing it at this point or but no they they kept up they kept up the entire time heavy hitting Uh, honestly after he delivered south of heaven and the reckoning I thought priest had this in the bag I I really did I would have been really happy if that was the case. Oh, everybody would have been happy However, however, he did not Picking up the win inevitably by pinning Mr. Finn Balor. Was Gunther retaining his title? Um, Again, good match. Really did enjoy it. Uh, I'm excited to see where, what's next for Gunther. Because as champion, obviously There's gonna, there's a whole roster. So I want to know who you think would be, who should be his next challenger. I don't know. Honestly, they don't really have anybody built up to go against him and I don't see them building anybody up just yet for it. So I think we'll have to wait at least a little bit and see who they decide could win the rumble if that looks like a worthy opponent against him. But right now there's nobody like that has that clear road. Okay. Um, I do want to point out something that You didn't mention, um, that Gunther's actually getting backstage praise for. Uh, so, Before pinning Finn Balor, he goes to take out Damian Priest on the outside. Now, if you watch this part of the match, he goes to do a powerbomb by lifting Priest in front of the steel steps. While lifting him, you notice that Priest's foot catches. Now, had Gunther not been paying attention, that could have also caused an injury, depending upon how he went with the move. He pulled Priest away. to then continue and get him into a better stance to do the powerbomb, which actually saved Priest from any injury. So I'm going to be honest with you. I didn't notice. Yeah. Like I, I watched the match with you. I, I didn't notice. Otherwise, I definitely would've touched on that. And you know it. Mm-hmm. Oh no. But that is great to hear. Remember, I remember when we watched it, you had said botch for a second because you know, you see the stairs lift with the foot of Damian priest. Yeah. I thought, and that's what we assumed it was. I, I assumed, you know. Oh, he was too close. He accidentally kicked it. Called it a dead. Yep. Nope. It was the fact that had he continued with the move, it could have injured priest. Well, uh, so he had to readjust and then he was out getting backstage. Prop the steps to that. And that shows you. You, not only, not just the kind of champion, but the kind of competitor he is, that he has enough respect. The kind of worker, yeah. Uh, so he has enough respect and, you know, just ring IQ to know, Hey, gotta make a quick adjustment. I gotta do this on the floor. You know, being able to adapt to what could have been a really crap situation. Yep. Uh, your grade for this one? I give it a B Okay. Is it this, uh, grade B? Being more or less because it dragged in any way because the wrong person went over because you disliked something You you did have or was it like bits of chemistry that didn't work? I would say there was bits of chemistry because like the chemistry with Gunther and with baller you can tell it's still a little off. Yeah And like, you, you saw that in little snippets of the match, you didn't see it a ton, but when it did, when it was noticed, it was. Very presentable. It stuck out like a sore thumb, unfortunately. I think Priest and Gunther might need just a little, also need a little bit more fine tuning, get in the ring a couple more times with each other, and I think you can, because I think they have a bit more chemistry than Yeah. But they've also worked a program together. Mm hmm. They worked two programs together. So like they've had the time to like really learn each other as competitors, whereas again you throw in Valor who hasn't worked with Guthrie before. And for that he doesn't know how to, you know, because everybody you step in the ring with is different. So you always, so you always have to learn your opponent. Like, this is why I say like guys like Guthrie. They talk about the perfect dancing partner and whatever. Like, Miz would be at the top of that list. He has great chemistry with everybody. But you can tell he has the work ethic too. I want to learn, like, how you feel about XYZ during the match. And like, you know, I know he's very much, I'm gonna, you know, get this done. But I also want to make sure everybody's on the same playing field. You know? I say the same thing about Rollins, where he has really good chemistry with pretty much everybody because he's worked with Pretty much everybody. Pretty much everybody. He's been around a long time. So he's gotten to learn Mannerisms and what works best against what opponent. Mm hmm And I think that's just one of those, it comes with time and experience. Oh yeah, definitely. Ballard's got, don't get me wrong, Ballard's got a laundry list of experience. He's been, he's been around for a while, but He's just not that one that, you know, can work with every single person. Right, not everybody can work with everybody, that's You'd have to be like at that Something we've all learned. You know, like, I'm, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go video game wise, and I'm gonna take a quote from, uh, or something off of 2k24. So, with them having the GM mode, we always say it. You look at it, everybody's listed. You have cruisers, you have bruisers, you have fighters, you have specialists. Specialists can work with anybody. That being Miz, that being Rollins, whereas Balor is more of a fighter. He's more of a cruiser He can work with certain people and the chemistry top tier But if you put him with another fighter, it could fall flat. You put him with the wrong bruiser. It could fall flat Depending upon how the other person's chemistry vibes with his. Yeah, and I think and I think that's honestly what it is cuz like You can tell, uh, Gunther would have, in 2K, is classified as both a fighter and a giant. Which you would think worked well with, with Balor's smaller frame. But because they are so similar in fight style at times. Because they both have that fighter. it kind of gets bland. So I'm glad they threw priest in there.'cause I feel like had that been a one-on-one match, it could have been more, could been very bland. Yeah, no, I agree. Alright, going into our next match, we have the finale for the Women's US Championship. Chelsea Green versus Mechan. Um, I wa I was a little disappointed to say that this match was very quickly the, this match was fairly quick. Tell me I'm wrong. Cause this, it was, it was This was probably also the only thing near, the only near perfect match we've got, we we got on this card. If I'm being honest, um for me personally, it did take a couple minutes to get into both women Really showing before the match had started what this means to oh, yeah, they took a moment to soak in Soak up the moment and realize how big it was. Yeah, no feeling out process at the beginning granted They've worked each other really well But I think I think this was the right to because they do have such strong chemistry Mm hmm And I think and it's a little bit of a rivalry renewed, you know from earlier Uh in the month, I think this is a really good full circle moment for these women. Yeah, I I totally agree um again To me a little bit of a slow start once they finally got that soaked in then it was really okay We're down. We're here. We're down to business No interference from piper and evan on the outside Which chelsea green was the only one to have somebody at ringside for her all night Out of all the competitors that had come down, Chelsea Green was the only one that had somebody at ringside. I think you did have her moments where she did, not necessarily interfere, but she like, checked on Yeah, she checked on Chelsea. There was a moment where Chelsea, you know, jumped through the ropes and into Piper. Um, there was another moment where You know, she got up on the ropes for just a quick second causing a small distraction, but she didn't really interfere much in this match. No, she really, she, she really didn't interfere and affect the outcome of the match to the, the, to the degree that she normally does. Yes. Which makes me really happy. We got to see both women hit their finishers on each other earlier in the match. Neither one really going, I will say the nod to her husband that was acknowledged by Michael Coe. Yes, that was absolutely because for those of you that don't know, Chelsea Green is married to a real life. Matt Cardona, uh, Zach Ryder in. the ww Yeah. Formerly known as Zach Rider ww. Uh, one of his moves was called The Rough Rider. Yep. And the fact that not only did she hit it, but him being from Long Island, New York, Michael Cole stating, oh, we're in Long Island. So, I mean, it is the perfect place to hit this move. Yep. It is the perfect place to hit the rough rider. Mm-hmm I, I asked, I got really happy about that. Yeah. That was really nice. Not gonna lie. I love the little nod to him as well because when Zack Ryder was in WWE, he was one of my favorites. Okay, and like, if you look at the way her gear was designed, the one long leg, the one half trunk, like it was, that's very Zack Ryder. I mean, when Zack Ryder was in, when I was watching, he was just trunks. There was no one long flange. At one point, there was actually a real good period. After the edge head days. Oh, yeah when he first got into Woo, woo. Woo. Like yeah It was one long pants and then the other half was Yeah, you gotta remember I didn't start watching Like actually paying attention to everything until we got into the era of Woo, woo with eve and john cena being incorporated So that whole storyline right before he got You know was in the wheelchair and got thrown off the side of the stage by Cain So that that's my introduction to Zack Ryder Yeah, so for the longest time that was actually Okay Part of his yeah, I just remember that I just I know the trunks And I also love, I do love that Chelsea being, Chelsea, Chelsea gave it her own personal flair and her entire gear, if you look, was all, just herself, her face. Yeah, they pointed that out. It was legit her face, which made me really happy to see. Um, so aside from that, going into the closing moments of this match, I do want to point out how beautiful this was. They go to the top rope and Chelsea. Due to Piper, uh, coming up on the ropes, or up on the side of the ring, did take advantage, uh, over Meechan, and flipped over her, catching her in the Unpretty H. E. R. Yo! The core strength and absolute athletic prowess. Yes. To pull off all The sequence, like, the way she did so seamlessly, cause like, that could have been a hiccup at any point. Yeah. But the rollover, like, semi sunset flip style into that was gorgeous, well done. I wanna see her do that again, actually. Picking up the win, making her your inaugural and first ever winner. Women's United States Champion, Chelsea Green. Hi! And now Well deserved. And now the internet is buzzing. Chelsea and Zack Ryder are the first ever married couple to hold the United States Championships. I, I, I love that she won that in her husband's hometown. Mm hmm. I really hope that he was at least in the crowd for that somewhere. Mm hmm. Or that he was allowed to come in backstage with her, cause like, I'm sure he watched it on TV or whatever, they've re watched this about a thousand times at this point. But I really want to know if he was able to witness that in person, cause I would, I, I feel like that would be even worse. Stronger for that. Uh, your grade was this one? Oh, that was an A plus match. Okay. Like, like I said, that was, this, that is the highest rated match on my card. All right, uh, take us into, Take us into our main event then. But I want to know who you think the first challenger is gonna be. Before, before I get into our main event, picking your brain, because you pay such close attention to these women. Um, I'd personally like to see her running back with Meechan, not necessarily saying that Meechan is the one that takes it off of her, but I think the one to, yeah, I think you give Chelsea a very long reign with this. I was going to say how that was going to be my final question after you, after you gave me your answer for first challenger was how long of a reign would you like to sleep? C slash. Do you think it will be? I think you give her her moment. You give her, A mania moment. She deserves it. She's put in the work for it. Um, honestly, there isn't a woman on that roster that hasn't put in the work to get there. Whether it be night one, night two, kickoff show even. I only say kickoff show because we still do have matches on there. When? When? We haven't had a match on the kickoff show. Actually, quite frequently. In a very long time. We haven't. Quite frequently for bigger pay per views. I was gonna say the same AEW. But no, like, I think whether it be, you know, Night 1, Night 2, Or even on that like weekend right before Wrath of Mania, you give her that moment. I don't know what the card's going to look like. Yeah, no, nobody knows what that So you don't know how stacked it's going to be already. So that's why But I would like to see her hold it to just past Mania. And then I think the one to dethrone her is her partner. Pipe? Ooh. I think Piper turns. I think you call it and Piper Niven turns. Because They did touch on it on commentary. Piper is upset that Chelsea got to the finals and she didn't. So I think, I think Piper is the one that takes it off of her. I think you, her first challenger ends up being Meechan again, because the chemistry is there. I would like to see her and uh, Tiffy go at it. I'd like to see that as well, but definitely the one that takes it off of her is Piper. Okay. All right, uh, our main event, please. All right, WWE title, Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes, and for one night only, we got back the original winged eagle belt. Um, I will say, adding Jesse the Body Ventura to commentary on this match, Was absolutely phenomenal. I loved that we got a true heel commentator for the first time in a while. Cause if you pay attention to the commentators now, None of them are clear to one side or the other. Uh, Corey Graves probably being the closest thing that we have to a heel commentator. But even then he has his moments. Same with Barrett. But like no true heel commentator. So he provided a really nice Refreshness to the commentary team. Is it wrong that I just want like for a nice genuine heel commentator I just want uh, JBL back On the commentary team. You know who I wouldn't mind back. I know he works for a different company right now. Yeah. Taz. Taz was really good at being that heel commentator In like the early 2000, actually I think you might have You you you would have been when you started watching you would have been at the end of his commentator. Yeah, I remember Taz was really good at it. Booker was really good at it on the main roster Um, he's actually doing a really good job of it on nxt, but again, he has some moments where yeah So he is well, he isn't full heel again, but yeah, you know, I get it Her coach's first run was really good as a Heel commentator. Mm-hmm All right. Uh, take us through this match. Uh, going through this match. You knew exactly what this was gonna be. The match started before the entrances were even done. Let's, let's, mm-hmm Both men wanting to, wanting the glory of being champion, both men having a deep seated hatred for each other. Mm-hmm Her. Again, Owens, I want to take away your title because you betrayed me. Cody, I did nothing but since you want to attack everybody, you know what, we can do this. Um, they questioned a lot of whether or not Owens would, you know, be able to pull the trigger and take advantage of injuries if need be, and you know what, he showed them, yeah. I'm, I'm, I'm willing to go as far as it takes. Um, nothing really memorable in the early parts of the match though. No. But then going in, you take out, they took out Charles Robinson, I believe was the original referee? Yes. Okay, so he gets taken out, uh, Ventura talking about how the ref was dumb for not being, or for not being out of the way, because his job as the ref isn't to Stand in front of him, it is to watch, but still stand out of the way. Take, he gets taken out. Owens has this match won. Owens has this match won. Out comes the second ref, counts to two, Ventura talking about, Oh, well he had the match won, I almost, They, they talk about how he took off the headset for a minute and he, He states that he would've, uh, done what he did in the, The last time he appeared on Saturday Night's Man of Bay, where he was a ref. Would've, uh, would've, was ready to jump into the ring and hump a 1, 2, 3. Cause again, Owens did have this match won. Uh, secondary ref eventually, uh, Cody goes for the Cody cutter. Owens is able to duck it. He takes out the ref with a crossbody. Now they're going at it. Owens realizing there's no ref. Grabs the steel chair. Introduces the steel chair. Misses with the steel chair. Cody takes advantage. Crossroads on top of the steel chair. Charles Robinson from the outside. 1, 2, 3, declaring Cody Rhodes your winner. However, However, Justice for Kevin Owens, that mat, that three count should not and does not stand in the eyes of WWE ruling and the law. To see, for a standard wrestling match, that standard one on one match, the pinfall must happen with the referee fully inside the ring. In WWE, the referee must typically be inside the ring to make a legal three count during a match. However, there are exceptions based on match stipulations and storytelling. For instance, standard matches, the referee must be inside to count the pinfall, ensuring clear visibility and control over the match. He failed to do so. That pinfall does not count. That pinfall does not count. Owens has every right to want his rematch. He got screwed. Kevin Owens got screwed. So you know what? His actions post match, after Saturday night's main event, are justified. He attacked Cody, hit him with a pile driver, causing two different injuries with that one move. You have what those injuries are in detail. Yes. So WDB tweeted out breaking earlier today, it was confirmed that Cody Rhodes suffered Cervical swelling and was kept overnight at a local hospital for observation This was also announced on Monday Night Raw as well that he is still in the hospital for observation While x rays were negative for fracture Rhodes has been Officially diagnosed with an axial compression of the cervical spine as well as cervical sprain with spasm All right, that's gonna be a while to heal from so my thing is this how long do you think he's out? Uh, knowing Cody Rhodes, it's gonna be like a, probably a month or two, unfortunately, like, Unfortunate to say that That man likes to pull a scene and come back way sooner than he needs to. Yeah. For the story, I think it's no more than a month and a half. Okay, cool. I was gonna say depending on how long he's out. Do you think he gets stripped of the title due to? Wwe's you need to be able to defend it within 30 days. I don't think they're gonna strip him I don't think so either but I I feel like because It's cody rhodes and because again, we all feel he's not going to be out that long. I can see why they wouldn't yeah Depending on definitely they're not stripping him of this title, but no cody definitely. Uh, oh owens a rematch And even post that, there was an altercation between Kevin Owens and Triple H. Now everybody's trying to speculate and rumors are flying cause It's the internet wrestling community. Everybody has a theory. Everybody has to put up their rumors. Everybody wants to read into things that aren't actually there. And now everybody wants to state that Triple H might be coming back for a final match. And it should be Kevin Owens. And honestly, you and I have talked about it. I would love for him to have a true final retirement match. However, due to the medical conditioning of his heart, due to the heart condition, medically provided, that has disqualified him from ever taking a bump again. Not even putting on just a full match, one bump could be just enough to stop his heart. And now, and then at that point, his heart stops, we don't get him back. So as much as I would love a true retirement match, I hate that Medically speaking his medical conditions took him away from the ring Because I am a firm believer in every athlete whether it's UFC boxing You know Sports as a whole should be able to retire on their own merit on their own terms And we've seen it in the WWE before where You don't retire on your own terms. You don't retire on your own terms. We saw it with Paige. Mm hmm. We saw it with Brian. Brian. We saw it with Edge. Saw it with Edge. And I remember watching that one because I We happily saw it with Christian even though it never fully came. Uh, yeah, we did. We, we saw a medical, a forced medical retirement with Corey Graves. Corey Graves with, like you said, with Christian due to too many concussions. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Like, there was a small period where we kind of saw it with Michael, because of his back. There was a soft period where you thought it was coming with Adam Cole, there's a soft period where we see it coming with Kenny Omega. Like, thankfully, Omega's act, speaking of Omega, I know, wrong show, but like, we are actually looking at his return, because I believe he's set out a challenge for Dynasty, For one of the new Japan guys, but we'll get back into that later When you know as we get closer to that show, yes specifically, okay Um, but justifiably he Owens has every right to be upset had every right to attack to pay off and normally I don't kind of I Don't condone that kind of stuff Every triple H being, you know, the guy in charge getting in his face. I do what are you doing? Essentially and Owens, you know kind of you know No, I got, I got screwed. I'm taking out my frustration. And again, you see that they're about to go to They're comfortable But it's not gonna be one where you have a Triple H finish. Again, I don't think Triple H actually ends up with the last match as much as, again, I would love to see it. But I do think before we get Cody back That's gonna, that's gonna be a thing that kind of goes back and forth. Yeah. But yeah, I was gonna say comes into play and he's gonna try to call, and Owens being Owens, he's gonna try to call out Hunter and he's gonna try to cohort him into a match and he's gonna do every, throw every trick in the book at him and he's gonna try and eventually, I feel like Triple H is gonna be like, look, fine. I'm not gonna take out. I cannot. I cannot. But I know somebody that will. And it'll be Cody's return. Or I can see a Randy return. Mm hmm. Cause like, who, who, who on the active roster right now is closer to the Triple H than Randy Orton? The only other person is Cody at this point. And even then yeah, like think about it going into You can't put michaels. Please don't put michaels in a ring again. Please don't oh, no michaels is like yeah No, but michaels has no michaels has stated. He has done done for real this time. He regretted accepting the match at uh I think it was one of the first crown jewels Okay. Um, but yeah, no I can like there's there is nobody like going back to this last crown jewel He Triple H showing, yo, I'm close to you. I know you. I'm trying to protect you from yourself because we are that close. We were at one point like brothers, thick as thieves. I Yeah. So I can see that being The only other one I could really see that I don't see coming back would be Batista. He said he'd be open to it if the circumstances were right. Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Um, you were great for this one because we never did get that. Uh, I gave it a B. Wrong person went over. We'll The way that, not only did the wrong person go over, but the way it happened. The way they went about it, yeah. Really bothered me. Jesse Ventura, you are not wrong, technically, although, cause Cole wanted to point out, well Owens introduced the chair, yes, but the one that was able to capitalize and actually use it was Cody. Use it was Cody, so Jesse is about even sure of calling Cody a dirty little cheater. You ain't wrong. You ain't wrong. Um, I do want to point out something. It was a stat that I found earlier today. Um, I forgot I had taken a screenshot of it. Sammy Zane has fought Drew McIntyre 10 times over the past 1, 150 days. And has not gained a single victory over the Scottish Warrior. Jesus. So that man is 0 in 10. So. But like talking about everything going on with Owens and Cody, I asked you, you know, when you think Cody's coming back, how do you think they set up the rematch for Kevin Owens? Cause again, he justifiably has every right to have call for one. Um, I honestly, I don't know how they set this up. I think, you know, point blank, they, they do what you were talking about. I was going to say, I don't think they give it to him outright. They're gonna make him, I think, they're gonna make him jump through hoops. Yeah, and then either they're gonna culminate it Rumble or they're gonna culminate it Mania. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing K. O. start that challenge by winning the Rumble and that way Owens can also have his WrestleMania moment. Yep, and then he also has that in his back pocket like, Look, I have every reason to go for this championship. I get to pick where I go. Right, like, granted, again, he shouldn't have to, but I think story wise, that would make the most sense. Maybe be like, hey, so because you got screwed, you can pick the stipulation. Yeah. Or something. Yeah. But, like, I wouldn't mind seeing Owen. Because, let's be real, Owen's being a Grand Slam champion, he's done He's accomplished pretty much everything there is to accomplish in the world of pro wrestling as a whole WWE being no exception. He has a one time universal champion. He's a I don't even want to know I want to say a three time US champion like a two time I one or two time I see champion. He's a one time tag team champion So like it's great to see those accolades Things that he is missing king of the ring Money in the bank. Yep. Royce Rumble. I wouldn't mind seeing that one. I wouldn't mind, and I think that is the one that I, I would like to see most on his list of accolades. Cause like, money in the bank, whatever. Yeah. I think it is awesome. You know, being king of the ring or whatever, I don't know, who really cares. Yeah, at this point, it's not, it's not a big deal. It's not all that was cracked up to be. I do like that they made it mean something by, Winner of King of the Ring gets a guaranteed title shot. Well, no, okay, it used to mean something back in the day, too. And then when they brought it back the year, I think it was Nakamura that won it, or Corbin? No, no. Nakamura was king in the ring at one point. The very first king of the Ring, if I remember correctly, was, I think it was Corbin, uh, say, I believe it was Corbin. Then it was Nakamura, and then it was Xavier. Okay. But like they made it mean something. They that, those years they really didn't. Yeah, no, they, no. I would like to see Owens win the rumble. Be like, Cody, I'm not done with you. And go over at mania. Cause like, Owens has done a lot of work and has proven himself way too reliable to not be in this position, a position to finally hold single gold. Let's be real, Leif said it, he hasn't held a world title since he lost it to Goldberg. That was in 2017? 2018? 2017? 2017. Okay. That was the last time he's been world champion. So upon bringing it back, it was, um, actually you were wrong on one of them. It was Barron. It was Xavier. And then it was Gunther. Shinsuke never technically won it because it was a match that he had against Barron for the crown. But in the record books, it still says he is, you know, Nope. In our, in our record books, it's just Barron. They, they do acknowledge him as a Money in the Bank winner though. You, you mean King of the Ring? Yeah, that's Yeah. Well, um, with that being said Do you know what I meant? That does conclude, uh, Saturday night's main event. So he's a two time IC champion. Three time US champion. That was the last time that he's Held a title. Held a title. Yep. Alright, um, again, does conclude Saturday night's main event. We hope you guys enjoyed the show. Um, anything else to say before we send them off? Uh, we'll see you this weekend for Is it this weekend or is it next weekend? Oh no, I'm sorry, it is next weekend. We'll see you next weekend for World's End. You get a week break from us. Don't try to mess us too much for that one. I think it's World's End. I think it is. World's End. But, with that being said We'll see you for the next AEW show. We are out. Laters.
