We can’t wait to hear from you! Don’t forget to let your voices be heard!!
The Road to Wrestlemania has begun with the conclusion of the Royal Rumble. On the women's side of things we have IYO SKY and Liv Morgan who started off the rumble both breaking the record that was set by Bayley the year before with entrant number 3 Roxanne Perez taking the final time at 1:07:45. We had women from NXT show up and show out; and the biggest pop of the night came at number 21 with the return of Alexa Bliss. Charlotte Flair takes the win over Roxanne Perez as they were the last 2 making her a 2X Royal Rumble winner.
DIY retained their tag titles with special thanks to The Street Profits who made it very known that they will now be coming for the titles after DIY attacked them some time back. WWE Champion Cody Rhodes retained his title after using an Alabama Slam to put Kevin Owens through a ladder causing Smackdown GM to throw up an X calling the match to a finish.
On the side of the men's Royal Rumble we have two great luchadors starting it off in Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and Penta, having another shocking return at 21 we welcome back AJ Styles. A back to back elimination at the hands of CM Punk then Logan Paul slowly sets us up in the works for a giant match sure to steal the show at Mania. John Cena in his last Rumble ever greatly put over 'Main Event' Jey Uso having the number 20 entrant win making him the 4th ever Samoan to win a Royal Rumble.

Wrestling has more than one royal family. Acknowledge me! And we want to see! What is up guys? Welcome back to Resting Crossroads. Always. I'm one half dynamic Dous alongside Brother Pyro. What's up y'all? And we are recapping the Royal Rumble, the start to our WrestleMania. The Road to WrestleMania starts with the ble. So overall, what did you think of the Rumble? I think it delivered, I think it was a good showing, uh, personally speaking. I know not everybody's happy with the show, but I know a lot of people were saying it was like mid, more or less. I know a big reason is, uh, a few of our winners, which we should probably get into. Yes. Um, so we started off with the Women's Royal Rumble, no surprise here. Our first two entrants being EO Sky and Liv Morgan, which alongside entrant number three, Roxanne Perez, Consecutively, one right after the other, beat Rhea Ripley's time in the Royal Rumble match. EO, then Liv, and now the time to set is 1 hour 7 minutes and 45 seconds, done by Ms. Roxanne Perez. Um, not much to say in, you know, obviously we know what a Royal Rumble is. Uh, we had some NXT stars. NXT really showed up and showed out with the women's rumble, if I'm being honest. Roxanne. Uh, Lash Legend. We had Stephanie Vaquire. Julia. Julia, NXT Women's Champion might I add. And Jada Parker, which was one you were really happy about. I was super excited to see that one cause I love me my Jada. I know you do. I love my Jada, she a badass. She is. Um When, when it comes to, you know, Hall of Famers or people coming back, we only had two. When it, when it comes to just the Hall of Famers. The Hall of Famers. Uh, Trish Stratus coming in at 25, and as we both say it, a waste of a number 30 spot, Nikki Bella. Don't get me wrong, the pop was fun. Getting to see her back was entertaining, but what a waste of a number 30. Oh, I got disappointment. I think anybody else at number 30 would have gotten a bigger pop, just saying. I agree. Um, your favorite of the night, number 21, ended up being a returning Little Miss Bliss. You were very excited about that. Dude! Dude! So happy. They don't misplace his back. And the fact that her jacket said Was a tribute to You know, fiend in bolder letters but really friends forever. As we were going to say a tribute to the late great Bray Wyatt. She has a new lily doll. Lily got plastic surgery as she likes to say. Oh no, no, no. Those were the speculations from all the fans. Was that there was plastic surgery going on and she said nope. I deny all rumors of plastic surgery for her and Lily. Lily definitely got plastic surgery. You can tell with the number six in her eye. Um, any other names on here that you were kind of surprised that made it into the rumble? Names that you're surprised that didn't make it in? Uh, honestly, I can't say so. I was honestly with the new partnership with TNA, I was expecting a few women from over there. You were happy that we did get to see Jordan Grace? Yup, cause she has officially signed to the WWE roster. Yes, but you also via her and rumors you heard that she She wasn't supposed to be there. She, on her socials, was posting plane tickets to freaking Texas. Okay? Eh? Look, I went with what she, with what Miss Grace provided. Okay, continuing on. Another return we did get number 27. We knew it was coming. Miss Charlotte Flair. Uh, ultimately picking up the win with the last three was, uh, Roxanne in the ring, Charlotte, and I'm thinking blanking on the last one. And I believe it was Liv. And Liv? I think so. I want to say it was somebody else, but I'll Oh no, it was Naya, I'm sorry. Naya. It was Naya. Um. Ultimately picking up the win and now making her a two time Royal Rumble winner, Charlotte Flair. That comes, again, at number 27, which means, Brother Pyro, you have bragging rights for the next year. Again, again, I have bragging rights. Yes, again. Because let's remember, I also won with Bailey last year in the Women's Rumble. And yet you were complaining about your numbers earlier. In the night. When it started, you were complaining about it. That's because I had literally all the early numbers and then I was complaining because I was like, God, why, why do I have to wait so long for another one? Yeah. Plus, plus, think of it, think of the names I got. Chelsea Green, Roxanne Perez, Charlotte Flair, Julia, Candice LeRae, Zoe Stark. The only bad ones I could see, really, are Zoe Stark and possibly Candice LeRae. But, I think you got some very decent names there. I had some decent ones. I think I had the best. Getting to, going into the Mandra Bomb in the set, I think I had some of the best names. You did. Um, take us into our next match? I'm gonna let you do that one, because I was busy cooking, so I didn't get to pay as much attention to that match as I wanted. All right. Um, two out of three falls WWE tag team championships on the line. DIY defends against Motor City Machine Guns. Um, so obviously we knew this was going to be very chaotic. The first fall did end up going to DIY. Uh, and then the second fall via a distraction on DIY side ended up coming from the Motor City Machine Guns. So one fall each at this point. We go towards the end of the match because obviously we just knew this was going to be chaotic. There's not much to say. It was a beautiful match. These, these men are I have to go back and watch it because I was talking with one of my buddies and he's even telling me, you know, Dude or something, you know, like It was. I was like, the most lackluster match from what I've read online. Was that match, but even then I hear it was still really good and I didn't get a chance to really pay attention to it and it made me sad. It was, it was a very good match. A lot of back and forth. They told their stories beautifully. You could see how much this meant to both competitors, but you could see more or less on the heel side as to why Champa and Gargano wanted this a bit more. It was to kind of show in Gargano's way that he's no longer in Shelly's. Uh, background. That and That, you know, tag team of old, because the machine guns have been around for like two goddamn decades, aren't really needed. I mean, but correct me if I'm wrong, when we look at these two tag teams, has, um, Alex, or I'm I'm blanking on his tag team name. Chris. Or Chris, ever turned on each other the way Champus turned on Johnny? No. Oh. No, they've, they've been a very successful tag team and they are the epitome of what we want to see in the wrestling world. Just cause you're in a team doesn't mean you have to split them up for singles glory cause they both have achieved singles glory at one point or another while still being a team. Just saying, Alex Shelley's last, uh, and only world title run in TNA and Chris Saban's last, uh, X Division title reign, both individual glory. Both active members of the tag team, the Motor City Machine Guns. Just saying. And I hope that we do see that come WWE, because I know we've been talking about it numerous times on the podcast about the Street Profits. Montez needs to get pushed to the moon, but he is reluctant because he doesn't want to leave his boy behind. And, you know, knowing WWE's tendency, that's exactly what would happen. But you don't have to break him up for singles success. Think about the new day. Yes. Kofi Mania. All three, all three members were still very active in being the new day. Yes. Yes, they were. I guess the new day at that time was just kind of the only loophole, the only exception. Um, last fall ended up coming because of an interference that the ref didn't see. Due to the street profits, which is taking out Motor City machine guns. DIY picks up the last fall and while thinking they got away, you know, on a clean slate. Here is the street profits to attack DIY. Where did you see is heading? I mean, other than media, triple threat tag, T match Profits, guns, D-I-Y-D-I-Y profits go over. Okay. Cause their, their, their whole mission is I want tag gold. We got screwed out of our last opportunity. Here's where we're at. And if anybody's going to dethrone DIY, it's going to be us. Yeah. Especially because they have a score to settle. They were the ones that attacked the profits. Yeah. I'm thinking, you know, no pretty deadly. There's no way. Well, it ended up being away. Yeah. Magically. Alright, uh, next match? Next match, WWE Championship, ladder match, Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens. This match was a car crash. Hell in a handbasket. Dude, from opening bow, you could tell how much these men hate each other. Uh, Kevin Owens, still loving the trolled shirt saga. Cause, everybody knows the absolutely infamous promo, Son of a Plumber, Dusty Rhodes. Love that Kevin Owens came in with Son of a Canadian Something. Something or another. Like, tech system worker. And I'm just like, Cody, or Kevin, please, please never change. Yeah, please never change. Um, at one point you did. You know, as they go back and forth, as you see how much they hate each other, because they are using everything they can get their hands on. Uh, at some point, both men take a spell off of the ladder, and out comes Sammy's egg. You and I are like, oh no, he's going to do it, he's going to help K. O., because K. O. had cut a deal with him, but hey, you help me win the title, I help you win the rumble, and then we face each other at mating. Yep. He was gonna give him his first, uh, single title shot, like, for the main title. This would be his second. Oh, his second, because he went up against Roman, I forgot. At Chamber, like, three years ago, two years ago. Somewhere around there. Continue. Ah, so he comes out, and, you know, you and I and Hex are all like, oh, he's gonna do it, this SOB, this frickin do do do, we're going in. Doesn't help. And then we notice, okay, he's not helping. Oh, he's going to help Cody. Cause he walked over to Cody. Checked on Cody, like he did with K. O. Okay, he's not doing anything. Stood off to the side. They went, package piled. And after that they went. Owens tried to what? Package pile driver. Cody on the announce table. Alabama slam. From Cody to K. O. Through the ladder. That man just tow up from the flow up. Cause like, they had to immediately call for an X. Uh, the emergency X, you know, throw up that X. Injury, like this is legit. Cody climbs the ladder. Congratulations, you get to hold on to it until at least mania. At this point. Wrong person going over, but due to the fact that there might actually be a legit freaking injury there. I'm not. Entirely upset cuz you can even tell Cody was Genuinely concerned and the ref had to try to like, you know You get to the back and then Cody eventually goes around you can tell what all he really wanted to do was make sure he Didn't accidentally on a live KO cuz dude wasn't moving medical staff almost immediately like they could they had to like Carefully remove, adjust. Yep. His adjust his neck to remove his head from in between the rungs. Yep. Because like that kind of sucked. And uh, another thing is if you get, there's a certain camera angle from obviously when they're trying to get KO out, um, where you can see Sammy's saying crying. Oh yeah. Because like, dude, this one of his best friends. I didn't think after that that he was going to be in the rumble. I thought he was just going to be like, Look, I'm just giving out my spot because I can't do it. Like, not mentally, emotionally, I can see that. I'm going to go, I'm going to go be with my friend in the hospital. Like, Ended up not being the case, obviously, later on in the night. But, uh, do you want to take us to the men's rumble then? Alright, going into the men's rumble. Starting out at one and two. Cause you know what? WWE really knows how to put together their one and two spots in the rumble. At least for men. Definitely for men. I gotta say. Uh, Henta and Rey Mysterio starting off. Uh, Battle of the Luchadors. Really, really fun. I love that you made the little notes. Yes. Uh, Who came in at three? Why, who, who came in at three? I don't remember who came in at three. Uh, three was I wanna say it was, it was Gable. Okay, it was Gable. That's what I thought, cause he really ended up in there one right after the other, after the other, after the other, of Luchador, Luchador, Luchador. Yep, it was, yep, cause it literally went Penta and Ray, Gable, then you had Carmelo, then Santos. So like, Duke was living his worst nightmare at that point. Yup. Um, so we get into the number 8 spot. Akira Tozawa, Mello had just been eliminated, he's on his way up the ramp, he attacks. Yup. Um, Tozawa, Tozawa's declared unable to compete. YouTuber Aisho Speed. Is given Tazawa's spot, what a waste. Yep. But, you know, anything for the publicity. Yep. Cause that is actually one of the most popular Eh, whatever. YouTubers out there. But, alright, so, you know, he didn't last very long cause, uh, Breaker was also in that match. Breaker broke him. And I'm pretty sure that man's spine is, like, broken. Folded in itself because breakers are very hard hitting dude. Yes. Uh, but as we go through, we're picking up more eliminations. We're picking up, Pentium was almost the first elimination. Almost. Uh, but we're picking up more eliminations. We're going through eliminations a lot more rapidly than we were in the women's. I want to say that. I want to point out cause you brought up the women's and the eliminations that each woman. Spent at least over a minute in, and the shortest amount of time that they have logged for this Royal Rumble is one minute and two seconds, and that is Maxine Dupree. And that minute and two seconds, though? She got an elimination. She did. Ivy Nile. But the quickest, uh, time of elimination for this was Ludwig Kaiser at six seconds. And even then, I think this match went on longer than the women's, but Eighty minutes. Went on longer than The Greatest Royal Rumble, The 50 Man, as well. Oh, Jesus. Yes. Yeah, we don't, we don't talk about Bruno. That match doesn't exist. See, see, I didn't have my stats in the pre show, but I have in the post show. You do. I do. Um. Also, did you know that the number 27 and the number 30 spot are now tied? For the most winners on number 5. Yes. You told me this on Saturday. Yes, but now I have to repeat. They also mentioned it on, uh, on the show. Again, I have to repeat. My favorite part of the show, because they were talking about this, that specifically during the pre post show and they were talking about out there on the pre show that you know, five was uh That 30 had five people, you know. And 27 had four at the time. Yeah So then they go through and talk about all the commentators that have been in the in the rumble with King and Booker T So one of the guys booked, they looked at Biggie's highlights and Barrett's highlights and McAfee's highlights. Can we put any of them in the Rumble, please? Biggie needs to get cleared. Um, which was really funny because, you know, he's talking about how he was in the Rumble last year. And he climbed in. Who was? Pat? Pat McAfee. And he was in there, and then he saw these two big dudes looking at him, cause it was Breaker and Omos, and then he climbed over the rope to go to eliminate himself, and then in his exact words, then I realized, I'm not no baby back beep! So I got back in the ring, and then I realized, actually, yes I am, and I proceeded to eliminate myself. Yep. Michael Cole, Ben Mendel, Carmen. Yep, like it was nothing. Michael Cole blames Booker T and Jeremy the King Lawler for costing him his spot in the rumble. Of course he does. Um, my favorite part about that whole interaction, Pat, did you know you lasted a whole 38 seconds in the rumble? 38 seconds, my wife would be thrilled! Oh my lord. Michael Cole lost it. Okay. I wouldn't doubt it. I'd lose it too if I heard that live. Dude, I was in there. I was waiting on you to get back with Hex and Riddikos and Colton. And I started dying. I was like, and you had just hung up the phone with me too. Ah, that sucks. Literally as you hang up the phone my comments, man. But anyway, back into our, our match. Um, so we're going through, we get At number 15, current TNA world heavyweight champion, the man, the myth, say his name and he will appear. Joe Hendry. Still can't stand the man just because of his theme song. I really can't. Yeah, Hex was very vocal about her displeasure on having drawn him in our Rumble Roulette game. So then we realized, Oh, hey, we can trade. Yep. So I traded with her. I don't even know who I traded with her. It was the number your number nine. So it was Seamus who was in the match at the time. And then Flash wanted to trade with you. So he gave up his only spot at the time at twenty five for Joe Hendry. And you originally were going to tell him it was going to be 16. And then he realized it was Roman. Yep. Number 25 ended up being Seth Rollins. Um, a return at, again, number 21. Yes. The phenomenal AJ Styles has returned from injury. I am so happy about that. Oh, so am I. And they gave him back, and they changed the theme song back, which really made me happy. Yes. Um, but going into names that we got, cause, you know. I think I drew the best names. I may not have drawn the winning number like you, Miss Twisted. Ha ha ha. For once. But, outside of Nope, nope. I had all good names. Even post trade. Cause, I drew the one and two spot Ray and Penta. I drew number nine being Seamus. And then that was a trade. And then that was traded for Joe Hendry, who also wasn't a bad one, which was then traded for Seth freakin Rollins. Again, not a bad one. Not a bad one. But I also had 17, 12, and 19, Drew McIntyre, Shinsuke Nakamura, and making his Rumble debut, Mr. Jacob Fatu. Who may not have lasted very long, but he definitely made it worthwhile. I think he picked up like four Eliminations. Yes. That man was not to be messed with. No. But going into your closing moments, you have Roman trying to eliminate Rollins. Rollins is then eliminated by Punk. And by proxy, Roman is also eliminated. And then Punk is eliminated by another waste, the biggest waste of a number 30 spot. Cuz Mr. Logan Paul Biggest waste of a 30 spot. I've ever heard him. I've ever seen in my life and this comes from the fact that MMA Rumble mania 20 or 38 going into mania like 20 or Whatever that year's wrong. I think it was 2021 or 2022. We got rumble MMA rumble where freaking Wozner wins at the number 30 spot for the men, and then we have the return of Ronda freakin Rousey. I'm sorry, I will still forever stick with the video that, where we are complaining about Logan Paul and saying that we need to get rid of him, and then they say we can't because we don't have cause. I have a cause, it is because I hate him! Yes. That is how I feel about Logan Paul. That's how everybody feels about him. Anyway, so, he eliminates Punk. Roman and Punk share a moment backstage. Or, on the floor. Cause Roman's like, how could you do that to me? We just teamed like a month ago. Which was really funny. Well, again, every man for himself. Everybody gets up. Rollins goes berserk. Zerk attacks Punk, attacks Roman. Uh, they finally get them separated. Roman's kind of laying on the stairs. Heyman's pleading with him, cause he sees that deranged look in his eye, and curves up on the stairs. Here's to Roman Reigns. Punk is able to get out of there, you know. Uh, and now the rumored plan is Roman, Punk, Rollins, App Mania. I'll take it. I'd be okay with that. I did have a friend send me that, and then was like, Why is there no title on the line? Cause that one doesn't need a title. No, it does not. Well, especially with those three names. No. But going on to inevitably win final three. Final three men. Yep. John Cena. John Cena. Logan Paul. Sad to say it. And main event, Jey Uso. Yeet. Ah, they're going on, they're going on. Cena eliminates Logan Paul. Thank you, God. Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Mysterio, er, not Mysterio, Uso and Cena are going back, back and forth. Ah, eventually both men go over the ropes, neither one of them eliminated, they're on the apron. They're going back and forth, and they're going back and forth, and Cena thinks he eliminated him. Uh, eliminated Uso. He, Cena gets, uh, you know, he's in the ring. Celebrating. For a quick second, yep. Jimmy gets back in. Jake. Thank you. Yep. Sorry. Jay gets back in. Eventually eliminates Sina, going on to be your 2025 Men's Royal Rumble winner and living up to the name, showing it is not just a nickname, but it is his main event, Jay Lusso. And the crowd went yeet crazy. I want to point out, because, again, statistics, this is the first time anybody has won from the number 20 spot. Yes, it is. This is also the fourth Samoan twin. Yes. Who's getting to that? I wanted to be part of the bloodline statistic! Another, uh, thing that came out of this entire pay per view, um, noted in the post Uh, show conference and while thereafter on socials and obviously on raw yesterday, um, that Cody Rhodes is currently unable to wrestle and will be addressing the universe on Friday. To see if, um, he can even compete coming up to Mania. So, tournament to determine who faces Jey Uso at Mania after Cody relinquishes. I'd be okay with it, but I think, I think there's a bigger story with Gunther. Oh yeah, so. So tournament to crown have the inaugural crowning at mania. Yes with the other person in the Elimination Chamber That'd be awesome. Now with that being said The stat that I wanted to point out from the pre show up until this point because this is going into You know The stats and bloodline dynasty that we were talking about Up to this point, before Jay made it to the final four, eleven others in the Samoan dynasty, in that family, have made it to the final four, Jay being twelve. Of them, four have won. Mm hmm. And That's a pretty good statistic for the Samoan dynasty. That is. And Roman has the most consecutive Final Four appearances because he has been in the Final Four for every Rumble that he has been in except for this one. And there's like eight of them. And this is also his first Rumble In like four years. In like five years. Four or five years, roughly. Well, that does conclude of Royal Rumble. It was a shorter show on our end, but did, you know, tell all the stories that it needed to, and even developed even more stories going further into WrestleMania. What do we have next, Brother Pyro? Chamber on the 1st. Nope! Vengeance Day on the 15th. Alright, so we will be back here for NXT Vengeance Day on the 15th. Um And then it's Chamber. And then we have Elimination Chamber on The first where men are currently, men and women are currently going for qualifying matches on Raw. Um, not so sure if they are doing it on Smackdown yet. It has not been announced. I know what they said was this is to determine the number one contender for whoever the Rumble winner does not pick. Yes. So, we will um, obviously be covering that come Chamber to let you know kind of how those qualifying matches went and go through that. But, We hope you guys enjoyed the show just as much as we did. And with that, we are all out. Laters!
