Then whoa. What is up guys? Welcome back to Wrestling Crossroads. As always. I'm one half Daniel McDo Twist, sitting alongside brother Pyro. What's up y'all? And we are recapping NXT stand and Deliver. So honestly, overall. Yeah. What did you think of this show? It was a really good show. Feel like something that we both noticed mm-hmm. That took us out of it was the lack of crowd participation definitely throughout the entirety of the show and it got really apparent the deeper we got it. Yeah, I agree. But overall, like I said, really well done show. Mm-hmm. Uh, I think it did a good job of standing alone, not having the backing of mania a weekend. Yes. Um, but don't ever do this to us again. I mean, if they No. Don't ever do this to us again. Let me finish. If they were to do it, I say a bigger state, like we've talked about before, give us a bigger stadium. Give us, you know, a, a place that isn't more of the casual fan. Listening and being there in person. It's, you know, the hardcore, yeah. Like I said, just don't ever do this to me again. You, you always give this to me with mania.'cause it felt weird. I mean, with all the stuff I got going on, I'm kind of okay that it wasn't with mania. Don't say that. Should have given a twist with mania. Always give us a twist with mania, but, all right, so kicking off the show. Triple threat match, JCJ and Kendall Gray, Lola Vice NXT Women's Championship on the line. And these women definitely came through and set the bar high. They did, they, they set the pace for the show and congratulations to them for being able to do that so well. Mm-hmm. Right off rip, we got a lot of interference from Fatal influence. I think Kendall and Lola did a really good job of attempting to make JCA non-factor prior to the fatal influence, uh, interference. But once it started, it just really never stopped rents. And Claire did a really good job of playing equalizer. Mm-hmm. Running them out of the stadium. Yep. That was at one point in the match, end of the match time. Yep. We got closer to the middle stages, end of the match and. Again, all three women. I think Kendall Gray had probably one of the best showings I have. Oh yeah. Ever seen in my life for an upstart. She's definitely shown she can hang with them and definitely will have gold around her waist at some point. Oh yeah. Right away just. Going into what was a lot of the closing moments?'cause there's so much here to highlight that it'd be, we ain't got all that time. It'd be a human highlight reel. Oh no. This match was definitely a human highlight reel. Going into the closing moments, JC hit her finisher. Her signature, what, what's it called again? Um, rolling Encore? Yep. Rolling en rolling. Encore. Effectively sending Kendall out of the ring. Yes. Lola was able to capitalize with that spinning back fist that she hit so well, and men that she hit it in devastating fashion. And with that ity crowned a new champion. NXT, Lola Vice, your new NXT women's champion. I know you were very happy about that. Oh dude. We have been clamoring for Lola Vice for freaking ever. Oh yeah. It is about time that it happened and we and I did state something I, on the post show and during the match, the only time JC loses her titles is when Fatal Influence isn't at ringside. Yep. Isn't at ringside to get. In the match or to distract the ref so that she can take advantage. With that being said, we roll into the next title match, NXT, tag Team Championships, vanity Projects take on Los Americanos. Right away with this match, it started off high flying. It started off super fast. This was a beautiful, lengthy ish match that had 1,000,001 moves. If you blinked, you missed it. And I, you've said that, I don't know how many times when it comes to these four you blink, you miss it. That's'cause they are some very fast moving individuals. Yes. Um, so not much interference on the outside. However, there is a moment where, uh, kind of middle to end match that El Grande Americano does slip. The signature, um, metal plate to, I think it was Bravo, uh, I believe it was the one, I believe. So, uh, he slips it to Bravo, Bravo puts it in the mask, and it's used not in the way that he wanted it to. He kind of gets put face first into the turn. Buckle the one of the members from vanity projects. I wanna say. It's something stone. I wanna say his name is, I can't remember the first name, but, uh, I'm still learning a bit more about Vanity Project, so you'll have to me that think we all are. But it, it's something Stone and we have Brad Baylor. Ricky Smokes. Ricky Smokes, and Jackson Drake. Okay, so Ricky Smokes. Then finds the metal plate, takes it out of the mask and puts it into his trunk. It is used for a quick moment before it ends up just kind of becoming hot potato in the ring. Eventually on the outside. The former evolved champion Jackson Drake. Jackson Drake did end up with it in his hands. Al Grande Americano on the outside, hits him with a flying headbutt. Which takes him out for a moment, but he still has the metal plate in hand, uh, very end of the match. He does hit, I believe it was Rayo through the ropes with the, um, metal piece, allowing the rest of Vanity project to secure the win and retain their championships now. Okay. You're obviously very new to Vanity Project. I am. What did you think for them being such a young stars in this? Uh, I think they have a ton of upside. I think they represent the TAG team division well as a team, and I think that the characters that they have and their in ring ability. Combine I pairs really well with their characters. Very rarely do you see both of the, both sides of the coin compliment each other as well as they're able to do it. I definitely love the showing that they had with such vets in the game. Yes, and I am excited to see what the future has in store for because you speak of that's not only are Los Americanos on the main roster, um, but. If we look at the potential rumored people to be under the mess, that being Tyler Ba, Pete Dunn, they have so much under their belts as just people in general. Yeah. As just superstars in general. So for these two to come in and make this big of a showing, you know, kick out after Kickout and just to have that, it says a lot for the tag team that they are, and it says a lot for where they're going. All right. Take us into the next match. All right. Going into the next match of rivalry. About as personal as we're gonna get right now. So, Ruka, Zaria, and this match got started before the bell even rang. Yes. Both women just immediately attacking each other, going at it, really showing their dis. Dane for one another. Mm-hmm. And man, did it not let up. Both women really, I think not only trying to prove that they are better than one another, but you know, climb the rinks in the title picture. Mm-hmm. And I think a win over. And I think they realized that there could be a lot more at stake.'cause you win this match, you definitely have a case, a momentum and momentum built towards potentially facing Lola Vice down the line for a ti for the title. Yes. There's a moment on the outside where they're going at it. And so being the speedster that she is, mm-hmm. I was able to, uh, quickly, I wanna say it was duck, A clothes line hit a soul Snatcher on the outside. Yes. Uh, I think she took a little too much time rolling her into the ring.'cause Zaria was able to kick out of that pin attempt. Mm-hmm. Felt going through the match. We saw Zaria hit the F five, not able to, uh, pick up the wind with that. And I 100% thought, ah, with her power, with Oh yeah, her. Prowess that's what was going to be able to put it away. I was wrong. As the match continued, Soka eventually hits two more Soul Snatchers three in total, and is able to pick up the win for herself, gaining herself a whole lot of momentum, gaining herself the edge in this rivalry and. I'm definitely excited to see where this plays up next. I wholeheartedly agree. I think that, you know, with these two we said, you know, one of the biggest things that you say all the time is that your best opponent in the ring is your best friend. Outside of it, especially enemy wise, the chemistry just. It flows a lot better on the mic, on in the ring because you train together, you travel together, you have a lot of meaningful conversations. Oh yeah. You get to learn that person outside of just their character. Exactly. I feel like in, in a world of wrestling, it would, we'd get the best match with you in flash. That romance that you guys have off camera, definitely we'd get like the best rivalry, the best matches outta you two. But same to say, I think you and I could put on one hell of a program together. Oh yeah. If it was more just speaking because you know, nobody really does intergender matches like that anymore. That's right. Which sucks. Um, going into the next match, we have the NXT North American Championship, miles Born Defense against Johnny Gargano. And this, if not, you know, the, the previous match that was on is when you really started to see the crowd die. Like we came to this match and me and you pointed it out while we were watching this is when the crowd just completely was done. Miles' Born made his entrance to pretty much crickets. Johnny Gargano being the man that hardcore NXT fans know, also made it to barely any sound. They did point out a little tidbit that you were gonna share about Johnny Gargano's attire. The attire is actually from his last stand in deliver mm-hmm. Some years ago where his opponent was Grayson Waller at the time. Yes. Um, so going into this heavy hitting right off the bat, Johnny Gargano is trying to really put on a show because he's had just. Really bad luck as of late losing his tag partner just, and he's just been in a massive slum. Oh yeah, definitely. You know, I, there's, I, I don't wanna say it was a bad match. I don't wanna say it was a good match because it really did kind of drag because these men are so similar, yet so different, and they've never really worked with each other, so it was kind of hard to get their footing in it. Do you agree with that? I, I will, I will say that there was some moments where. It could have been executed better. Yeah. Close to middle to end of match. You did see Candace Leray get involved where she ranked the eyes of Miles born to assist her husband in that, but Miles ended up kicking out after Johnny delivered his finisher. Going. I would say I loved seeing a lot of vintage Johnny. Yes. Like old school, early NXT, early made roster. Like the lawn dart and the mm-hmm. Over the rope. DDT. Yes. I love seeing it felt, it felt good to see him kind of find that rhythm within himself. I, again, to find himself. Yeah, definitely. Closing moments of this Miles hits born again, I wanna say for the second or third time throughout the entire match. Finally is able to put Johnny away. 1, 2, 3. And still your NXT North American Champion MA was born after this. Ended up after the match concluded again. Crickets and very little booze because against, again, they were behind Johnny if you were a hardcore NXT fan from the very beginning. Closing moments right after this match, Johnny goes up the ramp with his wife Candace. We peer to the ring to see miles born, standing there and attacking him. Out of nowhere is Dion Lennox. Pretty much making a show as to, I want this title next. I'm coming for you and you're on notice. Uh, and then we had a moment backstage not too long after. I think it was like after the next match. I wanna say, oh, Saquon Sugar's kind of calling out. Lennox. Like, yo, what was that? Like? You're kind of being selfish right now. I thought you said we were gonna make a statement here, and after a little bit of bickering they were like, you know what? You right. I kind of messed up. Let's go talk to Robert Stone and get us and get something going for the whole group. Yes. Uh, we've had a few, we had a few good backstage moments going out. You got to see Robert Stone, congratulate Lola and mm-hmm. Her kind of be told, yo, you have. Uh, I'm gonna give you some time to celebrate on Tuesday. So Ruka had a moment where, you know, Hey, how do you feel about this injury? She was doing an interview. Izzy Dame then interrupts, and then that set up a match for NXT as well. Yes. But going into the next match. You had Tatum Axley try to regain possession of her NXT, north American Women's Title. Uh, Blake Monroe. Yeah. Dirty, stink and Thief. Yes. In possession of that not the rightful champion, though. This match wasn't all that great. No, I think it was the, the women both are phenomenal women, don't get me wrong, but not a lot. There wasn't a lot of memorable moments in this match. A lot of it seemed to kind of drag. Mm-hmm. But nothing about this match super stood out. No, not really, unfortunately. Um, and it's unfortunate'cause of these two women. Yeah, we definitely, I, I will say though. I think Blake Monroe makes a better dance partner for Tatum than Izzy named does. Yep. So I'll give them that to that credit. I think it just took'em a while to find their footing in the match. I agree with each other. So I think if they can work together a little more, they'll be able to make it happen. Going into. Ah, closing mark. A lot of the,'cause again, neither woman really able to gain a lot of the upper hand. Oh yeah. No, it was pretty much even, uh, until, until like the middle, towards the end of the match where Blake Monroe was able to dominate for a little while. And then once Tatum kind of found that small opening, she was able to take advantage. She reversed the glamor shot into the, uh, what cemetery? Cemetery driver. Mm-hmm. Pick up the wind gold around her waist. Picked and run, run regained what is rightfully hers. Mm-hmm. She had a moment with, uh, Hank Tank and Shiloh backstage in celebration. There was another member, and it was the one, um, I can't remember his name, male in their, uh, I can't remember his name, but she did have a moment of celebration with some really good people. Um, and as they disappear, vanity projects coming around the corner mm-hmm. Celebrating their title one. Blake Monroe, distraught, not knowing how to feel. We got a moment of, Hey, sorry this happened. Uh, sorry. You lost and you kind of, Ella looked at him and was like, Hey, let's go have a conversation real quick. Yep. Kind of seeing maybe some, a new forming of whatever that little group might be, and I think it'll, I think it'll all work out there. I think I'm cur, I'm curious as to what happened. I am too. I think it's more gonna be, you know, these puppy dogs because the way they looked at Monroe was like, you look at a piece of steak. I think that beyond this, it's gonna be more her pulling all the puppet strings. Oh, abso freak. Absolutely. And then we did get, I think after this we jumped right into the main event we did. So co-host this main event with me. Okay. Alright. Starting us off the, uh, NXT, the, oh, wow. I blanked. NXTs Main event is Joe Hendry, Tony DeAngelo, Ricky Saints, and Ethan Page. That creepy smile. But man, do I love the gimmick. Oh, please don't give me nightmares. I love you. Please don't give me nightmares. Right away. You could see that they took out Tony d oh, they found him to be the biggest threat in this match. The biggest threat, the best underdog was immediately taken out. And then Joe Hendry was kind of the next to be executed from the ring. So Saints and Paige could kind of, you know, try to even the odds with each other, I would say they wanted each other kind of down and out a bit. But neither one willing to pin the other. I've noticed in the beginning moments of this match, uh, it wasn't till about, I wanna say it was the super plex that you didn't see, that you saw that temporary alliance kind of finally dissolved. Yeah, because there was the, uh, double pin attempt on Joe Hendry that had taken out Joe Hendry, and it was, no, we're gonna pin him together. We pin him together. We both get the way, you know. But Saints hits a super plex to Hendry pages on the, uh, on the top rope thinking, oh, he's gonna, you know, splash onto Hendry. No, he, hi it onto Ricky Saints. And then it turned into, what are you doing? Like we are supposed to be in this together, whatever. But that momentary distraction also gave Joe Hendry a lot of time to recover. Yes. And so Joe Hendry starts putting in the work to regain some momentum in this match, regain his footing in this match after being effectively double-teamed at every opportunity we see as the match goes on. Mm-hmm. Again, every time Tony D got involved, a state, he was taken out, he made a pretty good statement of capitalizing on moments. Just to be taken out because they, they touched on this on commentary or something that Tony d said. He called Hend Saints and Paige all outsiders, which is very factual. Yes. They all came into NXT from other promotions, whereas Tony d has been around in the performance center since it, like he is wwe, ENXT, born and bred. He's also the only one that hasn't held the championship at this point. Yes. Now, going into a lot of the closing moments, there's a, a moment where Paige and Saints are on the, uh, announced table. Yes. Tony d it takes him out with a spear climbing up the, uh, ring steps that had been, uh, yeah. Repositioned earlier in the match. Mm-hmm. Takes him out, gets in the ring, him and Hend go at it. Yes. Tony d hits a spear. Henry hits his, uh, standing ovation not to, for it to just not be enough. Tony d. Able to do a quick turnaround. Bada bing. Bad, bad. Bing. Bada boom. 1, 2, 3. New champ in the room. Yes, I will say that you didn't mention Tony d before with a lot of his, uh, standings. Anytime he was in the ring, it was to break up a pin attempt and then make his statement to only get tossed back out. That part that, that's very fair. Um, something we noticed before it was actually put out there. What accomplishment did Tony d just Tony d is officially the first NXT Grand Slam champion having held the NXT tag titles? Mm-hmm. The Heritage Cup. Mm-hmm. The North American Championship and now NXT Champion, let's. Let's clarify this a little bit. The he is the, you just said it, he is the dawn of NXT, the Dawn and now Grand Slam Champion is more or less where I was going. He is the grand Slam champion of the modern NXT era because the first ever Grand Slam champion of the black and gold NXT era was Garo Johnny Gargano, and the second one to him was. Honestly it was Adam Cole. It was okay. Only using the free bird rule though, for the tag team titles and technically I'm gonna, I'm gonna put a wrench in that one. Yes. Can't claim him as Grand Slam, but you can claim them both as triple crop. Yes, they were both Triple Crown Champions, not Grand Slam Champions. Did you gotta remember at that time in black and gold, the Heritage Club did not exist? No. It did not. It was the tag titles, the North American title and then XT title. Yes. So in a way, triple crown, but also in a way, grand Slam. So you gotta peel back that layer just a little to, that's why I say this is the technicality. This is of the modern era for nxt.'cause you remember we had black and gold, we had 2.0. Now we have this NXT, which is seemingly a lot better than 2.00 absolutely. But Tony D being around since 2.0. Really needed this of, and it's funny'cause now we look at what that team was for NXT 2.0 versus nxt. Black and Gold. Yes. For, uh, war games. Mm-hmm. The last time it was part of NXT.'cause it was, what was it? It was Tony d Yep. Grayson Waller. Ah, trick Williams. Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes. Yep. And, uh, Braun Breaker. And Braun Breaker Waller is the only one. That never ended up a singles champion in n XT can. He's the only one that never ended up a champion in nxt. There we go. There we go. Sorry. I was say, you can't even say that for the main roster currently he's a TAing champion. He was a, he's a former attacking champion singles champion. Yes. And that's what you said, singles champion. Yes. Ah, but the fact that Tony D finally got this crowning achievement was great. And it parlayed a lot into NXT this past Tuesday. Yep. Tony D came out to, you know, address the crowd, talk about the moment. Dark State interrupted. You got the other three members from that fatal four way kind of involved, and we got an eight man tag match. We then saw. Jaw Ethan Page. Yeah. Kind of sneakily pick up the win for his team after. Tagging himself to at that at the last moment to give himself the glory. Yes. That leads to NXT revenge, this two week event going on. Mm-hmm. Joe Hendry will be addressing his, uh, future in NXT. Yes. He'll be via concert. We get last woman standing Zaria versus so Ruca. Mm-hmm. After Zaria interfered in her match with his. With his e name. We have a NXT women's title Rematch, JC Jane Challenges to Regain Against Global Vice. And because of what the events in the eight Man tag match, we get Tony D versus Ethan Page for the NXT title. We also get two Crown, a news speed we give to Crown, a new speed champion. And we have a debut or a call up from Evolve. Okay. I am very excited to kinda see how that goes. With that being said we forgot grades along the way. We did. So Triple thread, I gave an a tag title as I gave a B, so I gave a b. North American Title. I gave a BC plus for the Women's North American Title and a plus for the main event. All right. All right. Pretty solid, obviously I saw, um, pacing was a little off for a good chunk of this me for part of the show. And I think that's part of why I gave Tatum and Blake Monroe, the blade solo. Such a low grade is'cause that was. A oddly paste match in it In and of itself, yes. Compared to the rest of the show. Before we conclude, I just wanna point out that this is our last episode before we turn over to season five, and man, we have a lot of big things coming. We will talk about that mania, but I want to mention this if you don't already, please follow us on, uh, TikTok. At Follow us via all social platforms.'cause we're gonna have a few announcements coming out shortly. Yes. Um, just to give you guys hints and nudges and a little bit of insight of things to come with season. The Season five Premier and about a week now. Yes. Come mania season. We hope everybody enjoyed the show. Yes, we thank you all for the continued support. We hope you guys enjoy what we have in store for you. So I wanted to put that out there so you guys know, Hey, we're gonna definitely keep it high, have a bigger social media presence, I think is one of the one things that we said we wanted to work on. And Oh yeah, definitely more consistent. Yes. And again, with that being said, this has been.
