I used to come home from a long day at the dental office feeling a slew of feelings including exhausted, stressed, and insecure. If I'm honest, I would look forward to the moment I was done getting the kids to bed and then I'd curl up on the couch and eat something yummy as a reward for having survived the day! It was my way of feeling better. But was it really helping me towards my goals of losing the baby weight? In Part 1 of this 3 part series, we're talking about buffering as a way to handle negative feelings. Turns out buffering is an extremely common way that we've all been taught to deal with negative feelings, and bringing awareness to how it might be showing up in your life will help you gain control over it.
