In this episode, we start chapter 16 of the Book of John; specifically, verses 1-11. Jesus is hours away from being arrested, beaten, and crucified for mankind's sins. He is still talking to His disciples about these things that are about to happened. In this chapter, Jesus tells them He has told them these things to warn them not to abandon their faith when these events happened. He warns them that they will be put out the synagogues (what we would call the church today) and they will even be killed. And those who kill them will think that they are doing a service to God. Jesus explains their persecutors will be persecuting and killing them because they don't know God. Jesus explains that after He goes away (that is return to Heaven), the Holy Spirit will come to convict the world of sin, of God's righteousness, and of judgment.
