Dear Romance Podcast

Why there's no such thing as a perfect wedding

Aimee Shadbolt Episode 11

Today I’m talking through the psychology behind weddings and the pressure from society and around us to have the “perfect wedding day.”

We get it from a young age as women - starting with Disney romances, castle weddings and happily ever afters.. But is this just setting us up to fail when it comes to planning our dream wedding day?

I talk through why we are labelled as a bridezillas (a word I hate!) and why our wedding day expectations usually don’t reflect the reality.

I also ask - is the wedding day you’ve planned for you? Or are you doing it for others, because that’s what is expected of you?

It’s a juicy one, so dive on in!

Also, check out Bridal by Neeve’s instagram for all the information on the Daarlarna trunk show - on at her Mount Hawthorn studio until June 12.
