On this weeks episode Kelly welcomes Sarah to the podcast. In this deeply moving episode, Sarah shares the story of her daughter, Cassie Hope.

Following what had been a straightforward pregnancy, everything changed during labour. Sarah describes the shock of being told something was wrong, the silence that filled the delivery room and the trauma of meeting her daughter for the first time while still processing the pain of labour. She reflects on the fear of the unknown and her  overwhelming grief.

The conversation explores the relentless “what ifs” that follow loss, the self-blame that so many bereaved parents experience and the struggle of living with questions that may never be answered. Sarah shares how grief can leave you feeling powerless.

She also opens up about the hidden challenges that come after loss: making heartbreaking phone calls to nurseries, facing birthdays and milestones and coping with the everyday reminders of what should have been.

The episode also discusses therapy, taking back control, pregnancy after loss and welcoming Sarah’s daughter, Luna, while carrying both joy and grief together. Above all, it highlights the importance of reaching out for support and reminds anyone experiencing loss that they do not have to face it alone.

This is a powerful conversation about love, loss, resilience and hope.

'Our daughter 'Cassie Hope' has kept our hope alive.'
