On this episode, Kelly welcomes Vicki from, Long Reach Nutrition Clinic, to the podcast, a specialist nutritionist focusing on women’s health, IVF, fertility and post-pregnancy wellbeing.
Vicki shares her knowledge on the importance of looking after your body, particularly during fertility treatment, pregnancy and after experiencing pregnancy loss. We explore how nutrition and understanding your body can support you through these different stages of life.
We also discuss the financial burden of IVF and how the cost of treatment can create an additional layer of stress for couples already navigating the emotional and physical challenges of fertility treatment. With NHS-funded IVF provision varying depending on where you live, and changes to eligibility and access in some areas, the pressure and uncertainty can feel overwhelming for many people.
The conversation also looks at the benefits of a blood test and what it can tell you about your health, alongside the importance of sleep, food and lifestyle. Vicki explains how learning more about your body and understanding what it needs can help you feel more informed and empowered.
A really honest and insightful conversation about women’s health, fertility, IVF, loss, pregnancy after loss, nutrition and looking after yourself throughout the journey.
