In this edition of our Travel Hacking series, we’re going to focus on the Supporting players of your wallet. There are a few questions you want to ask yourself before you open a co-branded credit card. The biggest one is what is the value this credit card brings- and we mean real value! Not just the “coolness” factor of lounge access and upgrades. We only consider something a value if you would have paid for it anyways. For example, Marriott gives you a free night certificate. If you know you’re going to stay in one hotel a year and pay more than $100 for that night- then the Marriott card will give you at least $5 in value (after its $95/year annual fee). We suggest you use this value strategy when choosing a card!
