Hello and welcome back to the Truth Series and welcome to Phase 3, the Reinvention Error. Welcome to the Abundant and Aligned Podcast, a place where you will come to realize anything you desire is possible. I'm Jess Mindset and Business Coach, and I'm on a mission to lead women to a life far from average. In this show, you can expect conversations around manifestation, subconscious reprogramming, entrepreneurship and the daily habits of a woman living a life that is both successful and fun. Imagine a TED Talk, but over wine. My wish for you is that you experience an unlimited flow of money, a business that attracts your dream clients and the freedom to spend your time how you choose, and if you stick with me, that will soon be your reality. I'm honored to be on the journey with you, so let's get into it. If you have only just hit play on this series, make sure you go back and listen to part one and part two and then come back, because we've been on a bit of a journey.
Jess Martin:Part one was all about shedding of an old identity and being in this uncomfortable gray area within your business where the things that got you to this part in your business are no longer lighting you up, no longer fulfilling you. But you haven't yet figured out what's going to take you to that next level and you're in this weird gray zone of letting go but not yet stepping into the next version of you. And yeah, we spoke about the discomfort. In part one. I was really raw and open about how that actually feels and what that discomfort has looked like in my own life on a day-to-day basis and how I've been navigating that confusion, the frustration, the huge big question mark that I had over everything that I was doing in my business. We called it the shedding of an old identity and we just created the space to sit in the discomfort to question why we feel this way, without judgment, without fear, and just be in that weird gray zone. Often we need to just be, we need to feel all the emotions, we need to allow space to be raw and sensitive and precious and just have a moment. So part one was a soundboard for you. If you are in that weird gray zone where the things that got you to this point in your business are no longer lighting you up and you're still figuring out what's going to take you to your next, to the next level, and also you just know that you don't want to be the version of you that got you to where you are in the business. You're ready to be someone new, but you haven't yet quite worked that out. You're ready to be someone new, but you haven't yet quite worked that out.
Jess Martin:Part two then spoke about the reality of holding more in your life, specifically more money. This is an unspoken edge in entrepreneurship and that is the hardest part isn't always creating or attracting the money, but rather holding onto the money, and I spoke about in part two. If you grew up in a household where money was spoken about in a negative manner, if there was a lot of lack and scarcity around money for you growing up, your subconscious is viewing money as unsafe and it will try and either keep money away from you or it will sabotage the money and therefore get rid of the money so that you're back to what's familiar, which is struggle and lack. So part two was all about how to hold more money, which is obviously so necessary for you to then move on to the next part in your business. Phase three is now the reinvention error. So we have identified that we are ready to let go of an old identity. We are ready to let go of the things that got us to where we are in our business. We have learned how to hold more, to regulate our nervous system, to expand our capacity to receive and hold.
Jess Martin:Part three is all about figuring out what is next reinventing yourself, reinventing your business, reinventing your life. And I want to say this reinvention era isn't speaking to you from a place of you being broken and you need fixing, but again it's because you have let go of what has been and your next level in business requires a new version of you, one who is much more you. So maybe the way you've built your business to date has been on foundations that someone else taught you but haven't always felt the best for you. Maybe you followed strategies because you saw it work for someone else, but you just know deep down that it's not how you want to be running your business, selling your product, marketing your services. So this evolution, this reinvention, is figuring out how you're going to take your business to the next level, but in a way that is so much more soul, aligned, intuitively guided, and it's a huge, huge, huge, huge permission slip to take up more space in your industry and in your life.
Jess Martin:The reality is for everybody listening to this. You have already come to the realization that something is brewing up inside of you. You've got the whisper already. The little niggle is there. It's loud and clear. There is a stirring inside of you that something new is about to be born and that it's time to reinvent. It's time to reinvent yourself, your business, the way that you have been doing things, and so, again, this episode, phase three, is me telling you it's time to leap, and we're leaping together. We're leaping together.
Jess Martin:The whole point of this truth series was because this is literally what I'm navigating in my life and business right now. I was in that gray zone. I spoke about the discomfort. I have realized what I want to let go of in the business, things I no longer want to do, parts of me that were so yesterday, and now I am genuinely reinventinging things, and I'm going to share how I am reinventing in my life and my business, but I'm doing this with you. So we are taking the leap together and we are jumping out into the unknown, and we are doing so with so much excitement for what is yet to come in our business and our life.
Jess Martin:Before we move through to the reinvention era, though, I want us to take a moment to not necessarily grieve for our past self, but just thank her for everything she did to get us here. It is often easy to look back when things are no longer lighting us up or there are things that we have done in our businesses to date that we do want to let go of. It's easy to get frustrated by her and go well, why did you do it that way? Why did you keep doing it like that way for so long? Or why did you manifest this into our business? Because now I'm here to clean up the mess, it's easy to get into that state. But I want us to look back and thank her, thank her for everything she did, thank her for the person she was that got us here, and just grieve her for a second. And I did this this morning and it just felt so nice. I just had a little bit of a awe moment for the past years and how hard she worked to get us here and how much she put herself out there and the struggles that she had to overcome. Like, thank you for getting me here, but I'm ready to take it from here.
Jess Martin:So, doing that for yourself, just having a little moment to grieve your past self, thank her for everything she's done to get you here and send her off into the distance, because the new era of you is here. She is born, she's hot, she's fiery and she's absolutely ready to explode into the next evolution of her business. If this is for you, you'll know, because some of these things will be occurring in your life right now. So, as I mentioned, you will have a little stirring inside of you, a little knowing that something needs to shift and you are ready to shift something. As I mentioned, I'll share exactly what you may want to be shifting, but you just have this feeling inside of you. You have this feeling inside of you and it may be you are now forcing old ways in your business that once did not have to come with force, showing up in a particular way on social media, creating certain pieces of content, marketing your business in a certain way, certain offers, certain conversations, a certain identity that you wore, maybe, that used to come with so much excitement and ease, and now it is such a chore to keep doing it that way and you're literally forcing the old ways.
Jess Martin:Another symptom, I guess, of you being ready for your next version is you're feeling a little bored. You're bored. You again are doing things in the business from a place of should. It's like a job. The spark that you once had in your business is well and truly out and finally you are just showing up living on autopilot, doing the do. There isn't a lot of intention, there isn't a lot of excitement. Like I said, that spark it's just kind of dead. It's just kind of dead. So they are some signs that you are ready for your next version. And I want to really hit this, hit the nail on the head here. You can't keep going, you can't keep ignoring your soul's whisper, you can't keep forcing an old way that no longer feels good, because the reality is, if you do, you are simply living out of alignment. And there are some pretty nasty consequences that come when you are living out of alignment with what you should be doing, the person you should be and that next evolution that is stirring inside of you.
Jess Martin:Some symptoms of living out of alignment include things start going wrong in your business, so clients are suddenly wanting a refund. Clients are suddenly wanting to leave your programs. It's suddenly hard to fill your offers, people who were such, a, such an asset in your business, whether team members or clients are suddenly coming to you with complaints and they're not putting the work in and they're unmotivated. It's like this thing that's streamlined throughout your business. And, yeah, things are kind of just falling to shit in your business, and the simple reason for that is because your energy sucks. Remember, everything you're creating in your business is a reflection to an inner state within you. You are energetically creating everything in your business, the good things and the bad things. So if you are starting to see a lot of bad things unfold, a lot of lack, a lot of scarcity, just start to immerse. Your energy is creating that, and your energy is creating that because your spark is gone, you are bored in your business, you are not fulfilled, you are not fired up, you are not passionate, you are not excited, your energy sucks, and so, therefore, you're creating these shitty circumstances in the business.
Jess Martin:Another symptom of living out of alignment with your soul's mission is manifesting sickness over and over again, or feeling really fatigued. Even though you have, even though you have had a good night's sleep and there is no other reason for you to be tired, you're well rested physically, but yet you, you still just feel burnt out, fatigued, tired. Maybe you're taking naps throughout the day, maybe you are sleeping in a little bit more. You're just like, well, your body's a bit, your energy's a bit, everything's a little bit, a little bit flatlined and finally you are bored and you may be filling that boredom up with things that are unproductive, scrolling a lot on social media, watching Netflix more than usual. No, I'm not someone that sits here and says do not watch Netflix. I love a good reality TV show, currently obsessed with Ginny and Georgia. However, maybe you're doing that more often. Maybe you're sleeping in and missing the gym class, or getting in your jammies earlier in the afternoon and calling it a day sooner than what you would have usually. You've just noticed a shift in your habits and you just know this isn't you, this isn't normal behavior for you, but you can't seem to pull yourself out of the rut.
Jess Martin:These are all symptoms of living out of alignment and the unfortunate truth is, if we stay in this energy, it will have bad consequences in the physical. It will manifest into bad consequences into the physical. Clients will start to drop off, clients will object to your prices, people will want refunds. You will manifest huge bills to lose more money. Things will go to shit in your business because, energetically, you are creating it. So it's really important that we get you back, get the spark back, get your passion back, get your excitement back, get that fire back, because we need your energy to be top-notch in order to create the results that you are truly here to create in your business.
Jess Martin:The reinvention era, hello. Now okay, so we've identified that we are in need of a reinvention. We are ready to let go of what has been an old identity by the ways that we have built. Our success to here is expired. We are ready for something new. You may know that that whisper, that soul whisper that it's time to shift, may be very loud and clear.
Jess Martin:So why are you not taking action on the things that you know you really want to do? Why are you still feeling stuck? The reason for that is because your brain is wired for survival, not expansion, and there is a part in your brain called the amygdala, and essentially that is your smoke alarm, and that thing will constantly go off if it senses smoke, aka change, or something that is simply unfamiliar. If we rewind a second, the whole point of phase three, the whole point of the reinvention error, is to create change. That amygdala, that smoke alarm, is going to be firing. More than ever, it's picking up that you're about to be someone you've never been before. You're about to do things in the business that are new, showing up on social media in a way you haven't before. You're about to earn more money than anybody in your family has before. Earn more money than anybody in your family has before. That thing is firing. It is firing and your brain is going to do all it can to resist that change because it wants you to stay here, right here, because you've been here for a little while.
Jess Martin:The income you've been earning in your business has been this way for a little while. The offers you've been working same way for a little while. The projects you've been working on same way for a little while. The offers you've been working same way for a little while. The projects you've been working on same way for a little while. Where you live same place. For some time Now, life for you has been kind of like this for a little while.
Jess Martin:Your brain's comfy, it likes this it doesn't want you to change, even though that change is good for you, it's better for you. It doesn't care. It wants you to stay here because you're safe. Therefore you're surviving life. Don't change things, please, please, please. So your brain will resist it, which is why you may find yourself talking yourself out of changing things in your life, in your business, or you may find yourself justifying things. So maybe you say things like it's just a quiet season at the moment and it will get better, or I'll try and change things up next month, or I'll be someone different next month. Or maybe you're saying things like it's actually not that bad. Maybe it's not that bad, maybe I'm just being dramatic, maybe I just need to get back on the bandwagon and just get back to my routines and just try better. And yeah, you're kind of like trying to talk yourself into staying here and staying where it's comfortable, even though that is going against that soul whisper. So your subconscious, to summarize, craves repetition and it will keep choosing the familiar, even if it's no longer aligned. And I want you to know if you are experiencing this. If you do know, this is where you are in your life right now. It's not a failure, you're not doing anything wrong. It's literally biology.
Jess Martin:But of course, we need to consciously choose something different and this is why the work we do in the academy is so, so, so goddamn important, because your brain will keep resisting change unless you know how to rewire it. We need to prime your brain to start to view the money, the clients, the growth, the expansion as just as familiar as where you are right now, and there's some methods that you'll get access to in the academy that will help you do that. Change doesn't always have to take so long. Change doesn't always have to feel this heavy and hard. We just need to prime the brain to be more familiar with it so that it can loosen the grips and allow you to step into that version of you, that life that you want, and consistently do so. So that's your brain. It's going to resist the change.
Jess Martin:However, however, we are not here to build logical businesses. We are not here to buy into reason. We are here for soul aligned businesses. We are here to listen to our intuitive guidance. We are here to be guided by that inner compass. Your soul does not care about logic. Your soul came here with a contract, one that includes lessons, timelines. One that includes lessons, timelines, leadership codes, guidance on who you are supposed to be in this particular lifetime that you have incarnated in. So when your soul starts stirring, nudging, whispering. This isn't it anymore. It is not being dramatic, it's being divine, it's again doing its job. You came here with a soul contract. You came here with a mission. You came here with a life purpose. You came here to learn some lessons. You came here to make an impact. That's been written, and so those little whispers and those nudges and those niggles are simply just keeping you in alignment with the contract. You came here to live. That's why we need to listen up. It's why we need to listen up and again stop justifying that you are just done with the old ways and you are ready for something new, because it's the path that you have been put here to walk down.
Jess Martin:Okay, now I thought I would actually share areas within my own life and business that I am reinventing, or areas that I'm focusing on that I feel need a revamp, need a new, fresh energy, or where I'm shifting who I am when I'm in each of these areas. The first one is clients and offers. I have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, really positioning my offers in a way where it is going to call in, or they are calling in, high caliber, premium clients that doesn't necessarily speak to an income goal, but rather who the woman is and where they are in their business journey. My offers are really positioned towards those women who are self-led, empowered, motivated, who are aware of the problems in their business. They are already aware that there is a block within themselves when it comes to money, when it comes to clients flowing in, and they are prepared to do something about it. They are already seeking out a solution. They are already seeking out a solution. I actually did a training with my clients on this the other day and it's attracting in those premium clients and within that training, which is what I've also been doing, we identified where on the buyer journey those premium clients are and we have them be a little bit further along. This again doesn't always mean in terms of how much they're making or the service they're actually seeking, but rather who they are, the traits they have as a customer or client in my world and again, I've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, energetically, but also in terms of my messaging, my branding, the positioning of my offers to have them really speak to those clients who are further up that buyer journey. As I mentioned, they are aware of their problem. They know there's a block. They are seeking the solution. They want to learn how to increase their income, attract premium clients without always doing more and more and more and more, but rather by being more, and each of my offers are really speaking to clients who are there and at that phase in their business. We have seen the most incredible clients come into my world more recently because of these tweaks Clients who have gone from 5K to 36k months, clients who are making $80,000 per month in their business, clients who have only just started their business and on their way to 10k months. And again it's because I've really mastered positioning my offers towards those more premium clients who are here to put in the work they are ready to run with me and they see themselves in these spaces. So that's the first thing that we've really been reinventing behind the scenes the offers, the positioning and the premium clients that I've been calling in.
Jess Martin:The next area is social media, and I have been quite vocal about this on social media, but also in other parts of this series on the podcast. I've been feeling really drawn away from social media. Personally and I'm very aware you guys are series on the podcast I've been feeling really drawn away from social media personally, and I'm very aware you guys are also feeling the same I feel so much content is looking the same on social media. Everyone's jumping on the same trends. With the evolution of chat, gpt, we're starting to see the same captions and it's just feeling like a lot of unnecessary noise and, given I've personally been pulled away from that, the last thing I want to do is, within the business, be a part of that noise and just be adding more content to your feed that doesn't necessarily need to be there or, worst case, it's just blending in with everybody else's.
Jess Martin:If I'm going to produce some content for you guys, I want it to A and, most importantly, actually provide value. Not just be there for the sake of it, but also have it stand out among the noise that we're seeing and really create this pull into my brand. So you may have already seen the shift that we have made with my social media on Instagram, but we have really been elevating the presence on social media, really elevating the type and the style of content that we are producing and going the extra mile with the production of my content. So using a camera, using my portable microphones, hiring out a studio and creating content in there, getting out and about just shifting it and making a really conscious effort to have my content look different to everybody else's. And I mean this is not to say that you can't be on trends anymore, and if you do, you suck, but what I'm really saying is just be mindful and I know this will land with you guys Be mindful of getting caught up in the noise, jumping on trends that don't align with your brand, doing things on social media simply because you see others doing it, without having that inner audit. Does this feel good for me? Does this align with my brand? Does this showcase my message and my mission the best way it could, or am I just getting swept up with all the noise? And how can I actually stand out online? How can I actually have these elevated presence? What's actually involved with that? And then going out and taking the action to create it. So, again, it could be creating some content in a studio, or getting out of your home, out of your home office, to create your content, or just putting some more thought into the content that you are putting out so that when it is on your customer's feed or when the ad is in front of them or however else you market your brand, it lands with them because it's purposeful and intentional.
Jess Martin:The next area that I'm really reinventing is my daily habits. So, like I have mentioned, I was really starting to feel like my morning routines and the habits that I once enjoyed and would just do because I love them. They were starting to feel like a chore and just another thing on the to-do list. So I've just been finding new ways to move my body. I've been loving hot Pilates lately. I go to Hot Temple in Burley and Therapy Fitness in Mermaid. I love, I love them. I just love sweating, moving my body, getting that burn. It's like the combination of all of that is so good, so loving that I've also been running and really just enjoying being out in the sun, listening to my music and just running, with no time crunch or no need to be at a studio by a certain time. With that, I've also just recently purchased some ankle weights and some dumbbells that I can do some workouts from home because, yeah, sometimes you just can't be bothered to jump in the car and be at a class by a certain time, but we still want to move our body and we don't always just want to go for a walk or a run. So, yeah, I just went and bought a couple of pieces of equipment so I can just start doing some at home Pilates and some movement for the days where I just want to take it more slow and have more space in my morning. So also been enjoying that and also just playing around with a new way to visualize the future that I'm creating and recalibrate my energy, because it is so important, and not forcing the meditations that I've always done, but finding new ones. I'm creating some of my own, which you'll get access to in the Academy, and just mixing it up a little bit and just adding a new flavor to the routines that I have been doing for quite a few years now.
Jess Martin:Finally, which I haven't actually spoken about this on here at all, but much in my life in general, I'm feeling a little bit bored with where I live. So I've lived on the Gold Coast now for coming up to nine years and I do love it here, but I'm getting itchy feet and really just questioning what that means and what may be next. For that I mean the idea of and this has always excited me the idea of living in another country for a few months and just experiencing a different culture, but not from a tourist holiday point of view, but rather actually living in this country and in this city, like that just is lighting me up so much and I've just turned 31. I do want to have kids one day. I really see that chapter so clearly. Three kids I'm excited by the school drop-offs and the Sunday morning sport. I know I'll be an incredible mom and I'm excited for that chapter, but I'm just not quite there yet and I think it's because there's little things on my list, like living in a different country, that I still haven't ticked off, and so I'm just allowing myself to sit with these daydreams and these ideas and will eventually take action on them.
Jess Martin:There's a lot of moving parts that go into something like that, obviously, but not letting that scare me away. The unpredictability of something like that hold me back and literally following the advice that I've been sharing with you in this truth series just trusting your gut, listening to the whisper and knowing that it will work out for the best. So, yeah, watch this space. Um, I don't know why, but the idea of Bali is really calling my name. Living over in Paris. I don't know why, but the idea of Bali is really calling my name. Living over in Paris, I don't know why, but that energy at the moment is just exciting me. Some time in the UK, yeah. So who knows, we'll see.
Jess Martin:But again, just questioning that and just allowing myself to question that and not being scared by what's coming through with what is a huge life change if it happens. So, yeah, they are just the few ways that I am reinventing myself in my own life, but this is where I want to hand it over to you. Go and create your own list. What areas in your life have you been a little bored with? What are your soul whispers trying to tell you? And if you took action on that without being scared or without getting caught up in the unpredictability of it, what would that action look like? And let's all make a pact that we will do this together, that we will step into this reinvention era unapologetically, more excited than ever, knowing the best is yet to come. And none of this was about fixing you, none of this was about solving a problem, but rather it's the next evolution of you and your life and your business, and it's time that we leap and step into this next phase, this next chapter, knowing that, of course, it's going to work out because it's soul led and when it's soul led, it always, always, always does work out. With that being said, of course, jump into the academy.
