Today I'm joined by another past client of the Academy, holly, who is the founder of Stamina Bioactives, which is a supplement that promotes longevity, and inside the Academy, she quadrupled the sales in her business. She was also a finalist in the Naturally Good Awards for the best complimentary medicine product, and what I love about Holly's story is she quadrupled the sales in the business without touching her marketing, without spending any more on ads, without actually changing anything she was doing externally in the business. But within the three to four months, she focused solely on shifting her energy, her mindset and reprogramming her subconscious identity so that she was a match and was capable of manifesting more sales in the business. Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Abundant and Aligned podcast, and welcome to a guest session here today with one of my past clients inside the Academy, which is really exciting. Holly, welcome to the show.
Holly Williamson :Hi, thank you for having me. I'm super excited to be here.
Jess Martin:I'm so excited to talk about you and your business and everything you have experienced. We were just catching up at the start of our Zoom meeting and Holly's on fire inside her business. But, holly, you obviously are the founder of Stamina Bioactives, which is a supplement focusing on longevity. You are the founder which is so cool that you are in that arena in the health space and really changing the game for the industry like really focusing on longevity. I know it's quite a new space, but here you are showing up and being a leader, and so it's been a real honor to be alongside you within this journey. I know we've celebrated a lot throughout the last four months, which we'll definitely be talking about today, but I would actually love to just take you back. How did you end up in business and, in particular, this space? Wow, way to talk me up, girl.
Holly Williamson :Thank you so much, thank you. Yeah, no, I have been in business now since 2022. And this definitely wasn't the path that I originally planned to go down. As you know, back in 2020, I was studying an honours thesis in biochemistry and that's where COVID hit, and I was struggling with my own health issues at the time so really bad gut issues, food insensitivities, stress, anxiety all of the good things that comes with stress and, yeah, I just wanted to go on and create something that was a little bit more natural, rather than going on a lot of these medications that are blanket fixes. I wanted to more target the root cause, and it was good that I was in biochemistry because I had learned about these compounds found in plants that have medicinal properties if taken in the right dosage or the right bioavailability.
Holly Williamson :So when I went out to look for these to take for myself, there wasn't anything on the market that targeted the root cause, which, for me, was reducing inflammation, stress and oxidative stress, and a lot of supplements on the market were just full of just vitamins. And I don't know about you, but if you've ever taken a multivitamin, have you ever really felt a difference? I don't know, I haven't. No, yeah, so then, um, I wanted to create something that you know is all natural and basically targeted the root cause. And also, you felt a difference when you took it and focused on sustainable packaging as well as not putting any fillers or caking agents or anything synthetic in there, and that's how stamina was born. So we've got our first supplement healthspan yes, and I've been taking healthspan.
Jess Martin:Holly gifted me with the products a couple of months ago now and I have noticed the biggest difference. I noticed the biggest difference within be a couple of months ago now and I have noticed the biggest difference. I noticed the biggest difference within only a couple of weeks in terms of my energy. Um, I won't share this too much. I've actually been meaning to ask you about this, Holly, if this would be something that helped, but we'll talk about that off the show. Like woman hormone stuff. I feel I've noticed a shift with that and that's the only difference in my routine is taking healthspan.
Holly Williamson :Yeah, for sure. I guess everything is really closely related to stress hormones. If you have high cortisol levels, it can really mess up your hormones. So if you're reducing those cortisol levels with one of our ingredients, ashwagandha, then it can really balance out your hormones and make you feel a little bit more regular and a little bit more, um, in tune with your body. So, yeah, that's a big thing, for sure.
Jess Martin:Yeah we need to talk to you about that. Um, but yeah, healthspan so cool. Tell us, though, about how you navigated the business world, coming into a space that was brand new, starting a business from the ground up. Yeah, talk to us about that moment.
Holly Williamson :Yeah, I guess when I started my business I was like, oh okay, everybody needs this supplement, like you, your brother, your father, your sister, anyone could use a bit of reducing of the inflammation and a bit of reducing the stress levels.
Holly Williamson :But when it came to manufacturing and I started selling the product, I noticed obviously there was a big learning curve that we had to hone down on a specific target audience and no, not, you can't really market to everybody out there.
Holly Williamson :So I really did a lot of work the last couple of years focusing on what is the gap in the market and what's up and coming. And I think in the supplement industry in America especially, they're really focused on longevity and preventative health, which is a huge thing because their medical system they don't have free medicine in the US, whereas in Australia we have Medicare, so we don't really tend to focus on our future health, whereas in the US they really want to make sure they keep healthy before they get sick, otherwise they have to spend thousands of dollars in the hospital. So Australia is a bit slow to the ticket. But I feel like we are one of the first brands out there that are focusing on longevity and the importance of preventative health, because we want to increase the time we're healthy for, rather than increased lifespan, and that's what healthspan means is to increase that time you're healthy for, so you live a really good, happy life, and I and that's what healthspan means is to increase that time you're healthy for, so you live a really good, happy life.
Jess Martin:And I love. That's what your supplement does. It really? It fixes the root cause.
Holly Williamson :Yeah, how many times have you gone to the supplement aisle and gone? Oh my God, this is so overwhelming. Because there's one for sleep, there's one for energy, there's one for gut health, a greens powder, a multivitamin, and then you end up having to take five or 10 different supplements at once, if you do take any at all. But what if we just could take one that targeted all of them but just fix the root cause.
Holly Williamson :So that's what I've set out to do and it's been a huge learning curve but super happy to be doing it and I'm absolutely loving it.
Jess Martin:Well, speaking of the learning curves, you'd obviously founded this business that was successful. You're selling this supplement online. I know you attend these events. You've had some in-person events more recently and then you're obviously doing something right to then be a finalist for this award. But take us back to just prior to enrolling in the Academy. What did business look like at that point and what was missing that you felt the Academy could help with?
Holly Williamson :Yes, oh my gosh. The Academy came at the perfect time because I was in business for three years at that stage and I had a really good audience pool where there was a lot of people reordering and I had a lot of people on subscriptions. But that recurring revenue was the same almost each month and I wasn't seeing growth in the business. So I was always hitting that ceiling of around two and a half K revenue, which was really good for a long time while I was ironing out all of the creases and all of the learning curves.
Holly Williamson :But I think I was at a point, which was even just January or February this year, where I was ready to grow, but I didn't know what I was doing wrong. So I guess I was doing all the things that I was supposed to. So I was doing the marketing, I was paying for advertising, I was on social media, I was doing everything right, but we were really struggling to see a growth in new sales month to month. And I guess that's where the Academy came in, because I had done a little bit of mindset work in the past, but I guess I hadn't fully dove into business mindset or money mindset. That was all new to me and what happened? Jess, you'll love this story, but I literally think you manifested me, I did.
Jess Martin:You were my ideal. Well, you are my ideal client were my ideal.
Holly Williamson :Well, you are my ideal client. So what happened was I was ready, like already in my heart. I knew I wanted to do a group program because I work from home and I was craving that connection with like-minded women. I also knew I needed to work on my money mindset, my business mindset, and figure out some blocks. And so literally what happened is I just Instagram searched business mindset coach and you popped up top of the list and then I jumped on, saw a few of your posts, clicked on your website, read that you were enrolling the academy in I think it was March and then I was like, yeah, signed on and like paid straight away, without even talking to you.
Jess Martin:I know you just popped up out of nowhere. You sent me a DM and said I'm enrolling in the academy. Can you send me the payment link? Sure, hi, yep, let's go. I love that, and guys like this is walking proof of what we teach inside the academy.
Holly Williamson :You get clear on your ideal client you show up with an energy that would draw them in and people like Holly drop into your world. Yeah, that's right, I can feel your energy. I feel like I knew what I needed to do, but I just needed to find the right person, and I was struggling to find someone prior to seeing you that I resonated with yeah, yeah, and it's so true, right, sometimes it's not the words you use or the aesthetics of your branding.
Jess Martin:It is just this energy that you can't logically make sense of, you cannot see it, you can't hear it. It's just this knowing in your body that that's the brand that you want to work with or collaborate with or whatever is relevant for you. Okay, so, in the business, coming in, obviously an intention to grow the income, but feeling there was a block within you as to why that wasn't happening. Is that right? And I know we also work together on getting you some stockers, which I remember having a conversation. You're like, it's not possible for me, I'm too small, no one wants to look at me, like, but we did some tweaking and now you have two, two stockers. So tell us about some other, I guess, struggles that you were having and how that was manifesting in your business.
Holly Williamson :And then we'll move through to how we kind of fix that in the Academy. Yeah, I had the worst mindset around wholesale and finding new stockists. It's because I'd been doing the work around that for about two years, I reckon. I moved to Melbourne two years ago and straight when I moved to Melbourne I was like this is a bigger city, I have more opportunities here and I really wanted to find aligned stores that I could stock my product in. And anybody who has a product business out there knows that a wholesale is a big part of your business revenue. And so I went to work and I had another coach as well who was helping me with this and what she suggested for me to do is go into a whole bunch of health food stores and just talk to the owners. So we like created this list and every week I would go in to all these stores and just talk to the owners and just suss out whether they would want to stock my product.
Holly Williamson :And I think I went in really naive in a way. So I would go in and be like hi, I'm Holly, this is my product, would you like to stock it? And they would just instantly be like I'm busy, come back later, send me an email, we'll look at your information there. And so I'd be like, okay, so send them an email. Never hear a response and I was like a bit disheartened. I'm like, all right, I'll go do it again. It's just you need to do more.
Holly Williamson :And this kept happening over and over and over and I just felt like the worst energy from them. They didn't want to talk to you, they didn't want to you know, have a relationship at all, and so I just started to feel really disheartened. And the same thing happened over and over, and so I just started to create these beliefs where, you know, stocking a product is really hard, they don't have time to talk to you, they don't want to stock you, they only work with bigger brands, maybe more well-known brands like Swiss or Biosuiticals or something like that, because they sell better. And then the other thing was they all wanted you to come into the store and work, basically in the store and try and sell your product for them. And I just was like, how am I supposed to do that when I'm running a business, especially if we scale to even over 10 stores? That's going to be way too difficult. So I just started, my mindset started to go down, down, down. I was like I just don't want to do this anymore. It's too hard.
Jess Martin:Yeah, and like that is what happens.
Jess Martin:That's the reality of many let's call it failed attempts in business.
Jess Martin:Before you know, you've created the program around that certain thing, and it doesn't matter how consciously you want to get the wholesale deal or the new client, you're running from that program and that belief that, oh, but last time it didn't work out, last time we didn't get there, so that's what's going to happen again and again, and again. Um, and that's the. That's kind of what happens when you've been in business for a while too. As you mentioned, when you first start your business, or when you do something for the first time, you don't have anything to compare it to. You've never done this before, so you come in quite naive and then you experience the failed attempt, and then it happens again, and again, and again, and now you've got this belief towards the wholesale opportunity or the new client that ends up driving the outcome. No matter how good the strategy is, no matter how good you get at pitching your offer, no matter how beautiful the email is, everything's being done from that program which we established was happening for you.
Holly Williamson :Yeah, and I fully believed that they could feel my energy. So I had all those beliefs that they're not going to want to talk to you, they're not going to want to work with you, before I went into the store. So I'm sure when I get in there I go hi, like, would you like to stock my product? And they go, oh, who are you? Like, I don't really want to work with you anyway. So I just set myself up for failure basically in that energy, energetic. So then what happened is obviously we worked on a whole bunch of money, mindset, limiting beliefs, and what you taught me through the program, especially when it comes to wholesale stockers, is there is your ideal stockers out there. There is the person who would reach out to you because they've seen your product, you know, in marketing or somebody referred them and say this is the perfect thing. We've been looking for this with um and your perfect partnership for us, and I don't think I ever believed that that would be possible until we did the work right.
Jess Martin:Yeah, and then you identified who that dream stockist was. We also did some work on changing your assumptions because, as you had mentioned, you built out these assumptions that they didn't want to stock you. They wanted a bigger brand. So we did a lot of redefining the assumptions, identifying the ideal client, and it was probably within two weeks of you doing that work that we saw the message from you in Telegram saying I got the stockist, and it was literally pen to paper the ideal client you scripted about.
Holly Williamson :Yes, and it's crazy. When I went in to talk to them they were just like yes, we're so interested in longevity and health span and we're looking for a product like yours and we have so many clients who would love your product. And literally once they stocked it, she messaged me a day later saying they already sold one. And I was like this is perfect, this is the perfect people I've been looking for and I just never thought they they existed. And then I got the second stockist and I was telling you earlier before this is that, um, she owns a float tank therapy uh place where you can go. If you've ever done float therapy, it's pretty cool, but basically she's never had a supplement before. She said she never takes supplements and she doesn't even stock any products in her float tank therapy place. And she just said I started taking yours and I want to stock yours straight away. And I was like how can, how can this be possible with when she has this belief of never been taking any supplements before that?
Jess Martin:So yeah, crazy People buy your energy before they buy your words, and it's true, and you've seen that unfold within your business. Um, so, yeah, I know, congratulations on the two, and I know this is just the start for all sale opportunities that you are manifesting, and they will continue to be your dream client, because you have the framework to create the dream client and then manifest them in using your energy, and it's by vibrating at a frequency that they would want to work with yeah and then we also saw and we have been celebrating an increase in your income as well.
Jess Martin:I think you over doubled your income inside the Academy. Yes, yes.
Holly Williamson :So before, well, at the start of the Academy, I had the goal and at the time I thought this was a hugely wild goal from uh, I think I was selling about 30 units. So for everybody who doesn't know what units are, let's just say 30 vitamin bottles. I was selling about 30 and I wanted to increase that to 250 a month. So to me that was a huge increase in the amount that I was selling. And we discussed at the start, which maybe some people resonate with, is that money isn't the driver for me, it's actually the fulfillment is in knowing how many bottles of my product are out there, helping people improve their health. Like that's the satisfying part to me.
Holly Williamson :So we didn't set a money goal. Instead we set the amount of bottles that I was going to sell goal. So it was 250 and I was selling about 30. And then it was month on month. The difference in the amount I was selling was I think I've got it here 30 units in March, and then already I sold 55 units in April and then May was 63. So that's already doubled. And then May was 63. So that's already doubled. And then June the end of the Academy was 106.
Jess Martin:Wow, yeah, that is insane. That's like almost quadrupled.
Holly Williamson :Yeah, and the crazy part is I didn't change anything about my marketing tactics, how I was showing up on social media. It was all this manifestation course, the affirmations that we're doing at the start of the day, the um, the night meditations, that we were doing so consistently every day and every night. Um, yeah, that's all that I changed.
Jess Martin:Yeah, which is wild. And you are the best proof of this work because, as you mentioned at the start of this episode, you were doing everything right behind the scenes. It's not like you came into the academy wanting more in your business but you weren't showing up on social media, you weren't running ads, you weren't getting your product out there. You were doing all of those things, and to sit here now and say that the only shift was within you is just the perfect example of the power of this work. And it's almost cool that you didn't tweak anything outside. It's kind of a really good test. It was like this cool experiment where you were like all right, I'm going to lock in for the next four months and just focus on me, nothing else is going to change, and let's see what we can get done. And, yeah, almost quadrupled your um sales in the business, which is wild. Which is wild.
Holly Williamson :Yeah, and I guess one of my biggest um limiting beliefs that I had at the start, uh, was the fact that when I was younger, I had this mantra that I would tell myself, which was oh, you got to have low expectations or you won't get disappointed.
Holly Williamson :And I remember like walking around and telling everybody that same thing, because in the past, you know, I've been let down by certain things or occasions, and then I've learned as a defense mechanism to just keep your expectations low or like expect the worst case scenario to play out or a bad scenario to play out, and then you wouldn't feel overly disappointed or you would say to yourself oh, I saw it coming. Then I'm not too upset about it. But then the craziest shift for me, I guess, doing this academy was that we were not focusing on all outcomes, or even the worst case outcome. It was only focused on the best case scenario playing out for you, and that was something I'd never done before, and so it was a huge shift for me and it was a huge change in my mental health as well yeah, I know just knowing that we can create our best case scenario seems so simple, but we go through life constantly being tuned into what if this doesn't work out?
Jess Martin:our biggest fears, the worst case scenario, and often it's just that shift of okay, yeah, the the worst case scenario could play out. But what's your best case scenario like? Let's do that instead. And what you just mentioned there around that belief of I won't try because then I won't be disappointed is so woven through society. So many women in business have been raised on this programming where, yeah, we don't want to get disappointed. If I don't shoot for the stars, then you know, yeah, I'm not going to be upset because we didn't get there, so I may just not try at all.
Jess Martin:Um, which is which, again, it seems so simple to have that realization. But so many people are going through life wondering why they're not manifesting what they want without even realizing it's because they're running from a program like that, like they're literally operating from that belief. And the term we always use in the academy is awareness is key. Just knowing that's what's been blocking the income and the sales and the wholesale opportunities is often enough to switch it around just by choosing something different, which is why this work can change our businesses so so, so quickly.
Holly Williamson :It was one of those things that was a block that I didn't realize was affecting my business, and as soon as I realized that, I was like, oh my gosh, what have I been doing? Like I've been playing it so safe and that's not the way you should live your life. You should be a little bit delusional. You should be able to expect big things for yourself and not feel like shamed around that yourself and not feel like shamed around that. You know, as women, it's so hard in this, like male dominated industries, that you know we need to mute ourselves. But no, you should have big dreams and big aspirations.
Jess Martin:Yeah, and expect the best for yourself and take up space. I love that you mentioned at the start of this that you were kind of new to the mindset and the manifestation work. Were you skeptical at all coming into the academy? Did it surprise you in any way, like what's a takeaway from the program that you didn't expect?
Holly Williamson :This is a great question for me because I guess I would be honestly the biggest skeptic because I'm a scientist, right. I, you know, need to see this evidence and the proof and all of these scientific studies. And so, coming into this I mean that's how I built my business right Coming into this, I was like you know what, I'll give it a go, but I don't expect huge differences in my business. But it might be good for me to work on some mindset stuff, which I obviously think that that's some benefits there. But then, yeah, I think I was absolutely blown away with what could happen. And now I'm a huge believer in manifestation Huge, huge, huge. So it is real and it does work, um, but it does take consistency and effort in effort, in a way of like making sure that you're listening to the morning affirmations and the night meditations and doing the work, the questions, really digging deep and not, um, you know, tippy-toeing around some hard topics.
Jess Martin:Yeah, and it is hard sometimes. This work is hard. It's why so many of us have avoided it for so long. It doesn't come easy to peel back your layers and really identify parts of you that you've had hidden away your entire life. It's very confronting at times, but once you know how to work through it, using the modalities that we use in the academy, and actually release it again, the shifts can happen. So so, so fast. Um, and again, you were just proof of that. I love this. Well, what's next for your business after the year you've had so far? Really, you are only just warming up. What can we expect from your brand?
Holly Williamson :Yes, well, at the moment we are in the works of another formula, another supplement, which I'm super excited about, and this one is for sleep. So everybody might not know, but sleep optimization is a huge thing you can do to improve your longevity, because you know we spend half of our life sleeping and so that's a lot of healing and healing, brain replenishment and yeah. So I'm really excited about this one because it's another addition to my range and it's in the works. Jess Martin:Yeah, I think that's such a cool idea because, as you mentioned, we do sleep every night and there is so much power that can happen to the mind and also the body when you sleep. And now that you know the foundational principles with manifestation, you know how to truly manipulate the results in your business. Imagine where you're going to be in the next one to two years. It's wild.
Holly Williamson :Well, thank you. I also just want to say, for anybody looking at signing up to the Academy, it's a great place to get a connection as well. They put you in a group chat with a bunch of like-minded women, and that's what I was craving so much is just that other support from other women in business, and it's, as such, a safe place and you're able to share their things with other women that you might not be able to share with everybody else in your life, who maybe don't understand what you're going through, but there it was all positive vibes. You're all cheering each other along, no matter where you are in your business as well. I know in our academy we have people just starting out or people who are making, you know, 10, 15, 20k months, and so, wherever you are in your business, it's a great place to start and get that support from other women. And, jess, I just wanted to say thank you as well. You're absolutely incredible and I love your energy and we will obviously be working closely together for the coming years.
Jess Martin:Yeah, I know I'm so excited. I know this is like it's a forever thing. It's a forever thing, yeah, it is. I love that you've also mentioned the group component, because that's also so powerful. It's kind of lonely and boring being a solo entrepreneur when you're just sitting in your home office all day long. So, yeah, thank you for mentioning that, and the connections you do build are so, so powerful.
Holly Williamson :I think my partner benefit from it, because I don't see anybody during the week and when he comes home I'm like, ah, I don't see anybody. But no, the Academy was good. I could have got to actually talk to people but no, the Academy was good.
Jess Martin:I could have got to actually talk to people. I think we get it as well. They just they get the lingo, they get the vision. Yeah, they just get it. It's cool, yeah for sure, thank you.
