Unbridely - Modern Wedding Planning
72: How To Be Calm, Prepared, Present & Receptive - Wedding Ceremony Foundations
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Given that I believe 99% of couples want these four things, this is what I'd like to get down to the crux of in this episode:
- feeling calm,
- feeling prepared,
- being present, and
- being receptive.
Calm, means an internal knowing that everything is going as it should.
Being prepared means that you’ve designed a ceremony that fits you and your fiancé, rather than having something pushed upon you. Being able to assert yourself ahead of time, I think is absolutely crucial.
Being present in your ceremony, emotionally and also in the way that you are reacting to things. So really seeing, hearing all the senses, touching, feeling, smelling, all of those things, drinking it all in.
And receptive, as in being able to reciprocate and interact with your fiancé and your guests.
So in this episode, I'm gonna go through lots of little checkpoints.
Some of them will really stick with you and you'll go, oh God, write that down. And some other things you might go, "I don’t even care if it's gonna happen or not".
This is a bit of a workshop episode for your wedding ceremony. I hope it is super valuable for you.
